    Gorgeous game! The remastered maps are done beautifully. One of the best values in Xbox one gaming. As a fan of sci fi gaming Halo is one of the leaders of the genre. Re-playing my favorite games has been a treat. Everything has been smooth except a few hiccups in multiplayer. Do yourself a favor and pick this up!

    Last of Us Remastered was an ass of a remake mainly because it was a "REMASTERED" version of a game that came out less than a year ago. Master Chief Collection however, is a great game for the amount of content it has and the just the replay ability alone can hold anyone over.

    The master chief collection is good for any one who has played halo not so much for people who have not i feel if people who never play Halo 1 or 2 are not going to play the classic online which is a big part of the collection and Halo 1 Anniversary graphics are not impressive.     This is an excellent game, the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fantastic and the story is great ( for all 4 games) and I only needed to pay 60$. This is a must have for xbox one owners and in my opinion is the best game on it. Not talking about the campaign, the multiplayer is nothing short of excellence; it is balanced, competitive and a lot of fun. Waaaaay better then destiny,This is an excellent game, the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fantastic and the story is great ( for all 4 games) and I only needed to pay 60$. This is a must have for xbox one owners and in my opinion is the best game on it. First of all Halo 1's campaign seems like a direct port of the remake they did on xbox360, the mechanics seem way off and the graphics are crap, everything seems out of proportion.     Sony fans are giving this a rating of 0 out of pure jealousy, and even tho i haven't bought this yet, im giving this a 10. I own both consoles, both have their strength and weaknesses, but overall Xbox and their game library over the past year have me beyond satisfied (haven't even touched my PS4 in months), and Halo MCC is the icing on the cake.     Fantastic compilation of a sublime series of games. I had high expectations for this release but can honestly say that with how it has been put together, the accessibility of individual games and missions and they wealth of ways that you can play them is simply brilliant. Add to that over 100 multiplayer maps, the Halo channel, new easter eggs, co-op play, leader boards, nightfall series,Fantastic compilation of a sublime series of games. I had high expectations for this release but can honestly say that with how it has been put together, the accessibility of individual games and missions and they wealth of ways that you can play them is simply brilliant. Add to that over 100 multiplayer maps, the Halo channel, new easter eggs, co-op play, leader boards, nightfall series, full customisation, Halo forge and of course Halo 5 beta and you have a lot to show for the price tag!

    If you are a Halo fan, heck if you are a fan of video games, this is a must for your collection. $60 for 4 games is a steal, and I am so excited to finally be able to play through them all! True the graphics for the first two games may be a bit dated, but man they look good considering, and at 60fps they run buttery smooth!     Wow! The gaming world finally has a game bundle which beats Orange Box in value and fun level. Though a Halo fan since Halo:CE, I'm still surprised that it beats Valve's most iconic game bundle.
    This single title (with 4 games) alone is worth the price of an Xbox One.

    AWESOME GAME! Thumbs up... The only thing I miss are the Spartan Ops Missions, but Halostory and MP is quite enough. The Remake of Halo 2 is wonderful. The Sequences are beautiful and they show the possibilities of the New Age Rendergraphics.

    For $60 I got four games. All were premium releases with full multiplayer (as of March 2015, working seemlessly) and vast single player campaigns. All have full orchestral soundtracks that work incredibly well with the environments they were crafted for. I have access to videos, commentaries, and in-game unlockables.     Halo MCC is a great collection of all the halo games in one package. It was a great nostalgia trip to go back through all of the campaigns and play it again with 1080p 60fps and it still feels as smooth as ever. The interface is easy to work through and the games remain the same as they were when they were released.     The MP features over a hundred maps from all 4 games. Unfortunately the game's online Matchmaking system has been a major negative. The game would be a "10" if online were playable with unfortunate long lengths of waiting to get into a match. Sometimes matches disconnect for no reason or will start with uneven players on each team. Still, the Customs offer for much MP satisfaction if teaming up with friends. Forge mode and Theater of course make their return.

    The game also comes with a mini-tv series of Halo:Nightfall, a live action story bridging Halo 4 to Halo 5 when it releases next year. And finally, the game comes with Beta access to Halo 5 online MP.

    The game is packed with content and delivers is many ways. It's a must own for most as the story and MP offer so much. However it has troubles with online MP and it hurts the score from the perfect "10". If the developer, 343 Industries, can correct the problem and have it running flawlessly then the game cannot be missed for gamers. Until then, it's an 8.    … Expand

You get 2 remastered Halo games in 1080p 60 FPS, 2 Halo games in 1080p 60 FPS, and the Halo 5 beta, for the price of one.     I've been playing Halo since Combat Evolved, and this is the best package to get me up-to-date again, just in time for Halo 5 next year. I love the graphic improvements, and gameplay-wise they didn't change anything, good job 343i.

All the favorites are here as well as some you've never played before. Nothing got me more excited than playing my first Halo CE match on Prisoner.     Halo The Master Chief Collection is a package of a great franchise that graced us two console generations ago, anybody expecting anything extremely new you will be disappointed this collection is mainly for hardcore Halo fans looking for a polished Halo collection, and 1080p 60fps and high resolution textures and shadows bringing in the polish while also welcoming newcomers. Just for scope and scale alone this package is a great buy, and the loving attention this collection has received is breathtaking, 4 Halo games remastered and polished, Halo TV mini series and the Halo 5 multiplayer beta and lots of other little goodies, just amazing switching between Halo games is effortless and the menus are easy to navigate in general. So aside from a few performance problems here and there, like drops in frame rate sometimes when saving or loading(which will most likely be patched out) this collection is a great blast from the past experience and lets us know again why we all loved Halo back in the day. So if you have already played all 4 Halo games and are not an avid fan of Halo i would wait a while until you have some spare cash and want to delve into this collection at a later time, but if you haven't played any of the Halo games before you will be in for a treat, the content in this collection will keep you entertained for many months, and the story!, there is no other like it!, for hardcore Halo fans? i don 't think i need to say a word, they are already playing this amazing collection of the best sci fi first person shooter franchise ever to grace a console thus far.

Its still an awesome experience to play single player, and there are 10s of hours of content there alone! Then you have the multiplayer, which is revamped and what not!     Halo MCC pretty much one of the best games to start out with if anyone was to get a Xbox one, the collection of 4 great games running on there own engines is a nice touch but it does have a few minor problems from launch that will most likely be fixed soon enough.

    Even tho the first two were on original Xbox they shine fairly nicely due to the treatment they have received, specially Halo 2 with there new cut scenes and updated graphics. The feeling of each game still shows but even then that wont stop you from enjoying them. Personal note, as much as I love the first three the fourth I find not as great but still a fairly fun ride none the less.

    With the single player each game has returned with there own multiplayer and that even means Halo 1's multiplayer tho if I'm not mistaken is actually the PC version thanks to the new weapons that was only on the PC release. As much fun I had playing them already I will admit, the servers on day one lack greatly, taking plenty of time to get you into a game if you can even get in one that is. Patches will fix this but as of now it's kind of a bummer not being able to hop into what ever game you wish as quick as you want.

    With all of that said it is great to replay all four games once again, looking back from where it started to where it last ended really does put a smile on your face.    … Expand

    Anyone who gives this game a 0,1, whatever is just being stupid. There is too much good in this game to add up to a zero. Basically, look at the critic score if you want a sincere review (as always with Metacritic) because the user review is riddled with fanboys and people who probably haven't even played it.

    This is a wonderful game series that I have already played for hundreds of hours and I know I will play hundreds more. The value proposition of having all the games in one purchase is incredible and the re-worked visuals of Halo 2 are highly impressive.

    The only gripes I have with it are the matchmaking issues which they are currently working on a fix. Also none of the playlists are ranked, except the first one. I also don't like the ranking system, how you can actually go down a rank depending on how much you lose. I prefer the Halo 4 experience bar system. There could be more armor options as well.

    The game is great as I have played all 4 before. I had the chance to play couple of matches due to matchmaking difficulty, but that should be fixed by 343. Other than that graphics, sound, smooth play all there for 60 bucks. Ignore the negative reviews.....all coming from PS4 haters or people crying about the matchmaking bug. For true halo fans this game is a dream come true.

    I want to just start this review by saying that anyone who gave this a 5 or below shouldn't review games anymore cause just one of these games alone have just as much or more than half of the games to come out on next-gen this year. But put all 4 halo games ( with 1 and 2 allowing you to switch between graphics) over 100 maps ( including dlc, pc exclusive, and remastered) , the new improved forge mode for halo 2, the halo 5 beta, and the halo channel with exclusive halo content like nightfall for just the price for a single like destiny or titanfall and this is easily a great deal that both non and true halo fans can both appreciate. For halo 1 and 2 anniversary campaigns, you switch between the old and new graphics ( now instant ) while it still keeps to the feel of the classics and the new blur cutscenes in 2 are just incredible. Halo 2 also comes with 6 fan favorite maps remastered and the multiplayer for anniversary is given a modern touch that not only still keeps the same feel as the original but with added weapons, maps triggers, and vehicles, feels like a fresh and new game almost. And if your not crazy about change you can always stick to the classics. Speaking of classics, halos 1,3,&4 run at 1080p and all games run at 60fps and I must say, while it sounds just like a scam, after returning to halo 4 on 360 after playing on one, its clear that once you play halo on next-gen, you won't want to return to 360 as the games feel smoother and even look slightly nice. He'll halo 4 almost looks like a next-gen game. And whats even cooler is you can set your controls to transfer to all 4 games so you dont get confussed when switching. As for forge its better than ever. With all the new features from creating your own terrain hills and valleys, using blank skybox maps as a empty canvas, switches that can do things like open doors, spawn objects, trigger explosions, and so much more, this has got to be the greatest forge ever and I hope they put even more in halo 5. Now if you haven't noticed, it might seem like I'm more selling this game than reviewing and that's only because this is such an enormous steal, but it isn't 100% perfect. For customization, instead of unlocking armors, they are all given to you and you can't mix and match armor which does kill a little variety as well as progression, but more importantly, even though playing the multiplayer itself is a blast, waiting for a game is a pain in the ass. Games usually took from 5 to as long as 30 minutes and few times the game disconnected, imbalanced teams were made, and even one time all four people in a group were all put on the same team. However, that was more towards launch and 343 has been putting effort to fix it by temporarily removing some playlists to boost find games as we as updates. I mean when you have 4 games with engines from 2001,2004,2007,2012,& 2014 running on one server, your probably going to have problems, but it isn't that bad as I've gotten in plenty of matches and at least characters faces aren't melting off like in ac unity. Any way with that despite some annoying server issues and a step back in customization options, this is easily a must buy and not even just for halo fans. You get this and Xbox one and your set for the whole year. 343 clearly cares for the halo community and even though they could have simply released halo 2 anniversary as its own thing they decided to give us the whole dam series, all polished like a DVD to blu-ray collection. Halo made me the gamer I am today and it will always be my favorite series and with this it might even bring back some oldfans as well as make some new ones as it has enough for the new crowd and the veterans.     I love Halo, I don't understand it, and having everything in one game is really amazing. I'm disappointed about the matchmaking though. I know it will be fixed. For now im playing the campaign in legendary and Halo: CE is very difficult so far, one of the hardest game in a long while, but not abusive.

    My favorite game on Xbone so far (DAI doesn't come out for another 4 days), the best frame rate I've ever seen on a shooter and the transition between old and remastered graphics is so smooth, just one thing that's a huge let down, the multiplayer bug, please fix matchmaking soon, 343.

    This is the only reason why I bought an XBOX ONE - I played Halo 3 a lot with the 360 when it first came out and I still think the games themselves are fun to play either online or campaign. I like the ability to play any campaign and map I want whenever I want. I am and will be enjoying this game for many years to come.

    I have no interest in the PvP suite, so my experience from the get go was flawless. Halo Remaster, Halo 2 remastered (absolutely beautiful), Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 all in 4k 60fps. Beautiful. All with online co-op.

    The best first person shooters of 6th and 7th gen all in one package. Love it.

The problems are that the multiplayer ist still a bit broken and you cant play split screen halo 2 aniversary. you cant, the framerate goes below 20 and am not talking about 4 player split screen, am talking about 2 player split creen. thats **** m8. but if you play alone you will have no trouble

    If you are a fan of Halo, there is no doubt you'll love this game, because it is the same good old 360 games, but remastered and playable with the XONE online community. Great game, brings back good memories, it is actually very enjoyable to revisit these games on a next-gen console. Really worth the purchase.

    1080p at 60fps is not a joke. That's so awesome! The soundtrack is perfect as we know it! The menu is very well done and easy to use!

    Spartan Ops - This is so bad created. Endless waves of enemies where you kill 1 and then die for 50 chapters. Nothing interesting just same things all over again.
    Firefight - Really great game mode with so many customizations.

    Overall it is fun and enjoyable with some exepcions. Achievements are actually well made so you have reason to play every game at all 4 difficulties and during that you can find all collectibles and Easter eggs.    … Expand

    This game had an extremely rough start, but it is now in a very enjoyable state, and even after H5 drops, I will continue to play MCC for a long time. I can only hope that 343 doesn't forget about it and continues to improve it, and begins supporting community forge creations as well. H2a is BEAUTIFUL, and is honestly worth the 60$ by itself.

Without them, I would easily rank "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" with a 9 or even higher.     A fantastic remaster by 343i, exactly what the gamers want! There's so much great value in this collection even if you've played all of the games before. I've finished all the Halo games multiple times as they have come out over the years and it's great to have them all in one collection.

    At first i was soooo mad about all the bugs. As we all had a right to be. But spending some lengthy time on the game now has really shown how much 343 worked to get things going. Best game i ever bought. All my favorites in one and now that the bugs are mostly gone im in heaven like i was supposed to be.

    I'll be honest, I wasn't exactly sure how I was gonna properly dissect this collection. When I first got my Xbox One back in 2015, it came with a download code for this collection and, having not played the "Halo" games at the time, I was admittedly pretty excited to see what I had been missing. And while the collection didn't turn me into the biggest, most hardcore "Halo" fan on the planet, I do very much enjoy the series based on what I've played. But the collection itself is a bit hard for me to dissect: as great as it's been getting to experience what I've been missing and play the campaigns of these four great games, I feel like the excitement for the collection itself was bogged down by the hideous, bug-riddled launch and the fact that there still seems to be some problems with it. Bearing that in mind, would I still recommend "Halo: The Master Chief Collection?" Well, yeah, I would!
    For the sheer fact that this collection bundles four great to excellent titles, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is already an enticing product. Adding the fact that the "Halo 2" featured on this collection is an improved "Anniversary" edition of the game, and that only adds to the excitement. Each game still plays extremely well and hold up excellently on the Xbox One, and being able to play them all at a smooth 60 FPS with improved visuals just makes them that much nicer. The collection is also loaded to the brim with content, and with the fact that you'll be able to add "Halo 3: ODST" and "Halo Reach" to the collection as well just adds even more to what's an already gigantic package.
    On the downside, though, I don't know if I can say in good conscience that the collection is absolute perfection given that the game still appear to have several bugs and glitches rearing their ugly head every once in a while, and while I appreciate that 343's continued to support and improve the collection, it feels a bit confusing that they've been supporting it this long and it still has issues. Also, I'm still a bit unsure of whether I feel the collection does enough for players who already own the "Halo" games. Yes, it has "Halo 2 Anniversary" exclusive to it, but I feel like it doesn't quite scream "essential" unless you never experienced the series before this (like I did).
    Even so, flaws and all, "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is a massive collection of some pretty great games, and it's definitely impressive to see how far it's come since the ugly launch back in 2014. Sure, there's still some issues, and it may not be the best for people that have already played the hell out of the games back in the day, but if you're looking to get into the "Halo" series, there's no better place to start than right here.

    4 of the best games ever (with a couple coming later) , all the multiplayer, remade cut scenes and remastered to 4k, this is a must have collection for everyone owning a xbox.

    There isnt a lot to be said here, the game came out with some multi player bugs but by the time Im reviewing it they have been ironed out.

    The value is so much its a undeniable 10.

Contains 4 of the greatest games ever made, one of them being Halo 2, which is the best game known to mankind, but now it has remastered graphics, remastered dialogue, remastered sound effects, remastered cutscenes, and a remastered soundtrack. 11/10, GOD, DANG, AMAZING

This is an obvious 10/10 if you are a Halo fan. 4 legendary games in 1 disc, all 4 campaigns and being able to play matchmaking for all the 4 Halo games now that they fixed the matchmaking. Halo 2 remastered with amazing graphics and BEAUTIFUL cut scenes! If you are a fan of the Halo franchise this is a must own.     I don't get the low score for this game I really don't, so what if the multiplayer was down for a while, you had 4 games in one (5 if you bought the ODST DLC for £3.99) which will give about a weeks worth of solid gameplay. 4 games for the price of one you spoilt little b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s.

    Halo 2 Anniversary was the main selling point of the MC collection and I wasn't disappointed like Halo CE it looks gorgeous, sounds brilliant and plays like a wet dream (sorry for that) it was buggy from time to time though with enemies spazing out from time to time. (8/10)
    Halo 3 also got the remastered treatment, not as much as Halo 2 as the graphics already looked good for its time but what they did was change the lighting to better bring out the colours, it was weird that the sequel looked worse than the previous instalment graphically but it doesn't bother me much, Halo 3 still remains the crown jewel of the MC collection. (10/10)
    Halo 3: ODST was a bit of a hit and miss, some people enjoyed it (like me) and some people hated it, the graphics got the same treatment as Halo 3 with improved lighting and stuff so it feels smooth and familiar, the gameplay is just plain awesome and the city looked so great in the first place but now it looks awesome. (9/10)
    Halo 4 is the bad egg in this saga because I personally hated Halo 4 due to the fact that the story is B.S and the armour looks too detailed, the armour in Halo: Reach was big and bulky and looked like it could stop a bullet while the armour in Halo 4 looks weak and pathetic. The whole SPOILER ALERT chosen by the Forerunners thing was a joke and I hated the sound of Cortana's voice by the end of it I was glad she's dead. SPOILER END and to top it off the multiplayer was AWFUL back on the 360 with killstreak rewards or 'supply drops' as they call it and the ability to choose a load-out just killed the halo feel of it and made it feel like COD, screw you 343, if it ain't broke don't fix it. And by that I mean Halo: Reach was the pinnacle of multiplayer and you decided to stick your hand in a blender and complain about how much it hurts. (6/10)

    All in all Halo MC is worth a buy and worth a play despite the monumental cock-up with the multiplayer at launch because like everything else, it gets fixed.

    I have been never played halo game before so i picked it up and start playing it and it was amazing! Story was very amazing and I Personally Really loved Halo 4 with an amazing emotional story.

    The only real down to it was before July when it had all those bugs and not so good matchmaking. They fixed the multiplayer now. You can usually get into a game within 5 minutes. Now it is awesome. Its even better if you like to have four players on the couch. There are several different game types and over 100 multiplayer maps. You can play all 4 campaigns.     Favorite video game ever! Halo is a great game better than Destiny. I think it has amazing graphics. the multiplayer is also really fun to play. The sound track is so good I would listen to it in my car when I'm older.
    Halo is an amazing game I would recommend it to anyone.
