Mar 28, 2019An unfinished broken mess of a game. Many achievements don't work, plot quests broken if you pick up something before being told about it, enemies frequently just jump through walls to attack you, every building is the same inside, safe-houses are not safe half the time, I've fallen 2 feet to my death and 500ft without a scratch. It's disgraceful that this garbage was released in this state.

Mar 27, 2019Gameplay and ambiance are very good. Explosions are incredible. But I did not understand anything in the game. It is a failure not to be translated into Brazilian Portuguese.

Dec 18, 2021Terrible aiming with a controller. PC version is a lot more playable with a mouse. The game is anyway not worth it - very low budget, barely any story content, just very typical houses and bunkers. Main mission like just sending you from one to another locations without explaining any plot.

Official Xbox Magazine UKMay 22, 2019An interesting concept and setting, held back by its rather lacking execution. [Issue#177, p.78]

Apr 15, 2019It's gorgeous to look at, the soundtrack is infectious and the map is well-designed but that's simply not enough to sustain a large title like this for very long.

Apr 15, 2019At the end of the day, I will gladly call ‘Generation Zero’ a good game. It brings new elements and ideas together in a unique setting that hasn’t been seen before. However, the game’s point of difference is also its biggest downfall due to a lack of consistency across all elements of gameplay. Even though Avalanche Studios are constantly working on improving and updating the game, I wouldn’t call it a finished title just yet. Truthfully, I don’t feel that this game is overly suited for the Xbox and would be more enjoyable with a team of 4 people playing on PC. With time, ‘Generation Zero’ could become something incredible, but not just yet.
