Mar 28, 2019An unfinished broken mess of a game. Many achievements don't work, plot quests broken if you pick up something before being told about it, enemies frequently just jump through walls to attack you, every building is the same inside, safe-houses are not safe half the time, I've fallen 2 feet to my death and 500ft without a scratch. It's disgraceful that this garbage was released in this state.

Mar 29, 2019Gorgeous looking and fun to play! I really don't get the whole trend with disliking the game before trying it. Play more than 15 mins of it...

Mar 27, 2019Gameplay and ambiance are very good. Explosions are incredible. But I did not understand anything in the game. It is a failure not to be translated into Brazilian Portuguese.

Aug 22, 2023Este juego no es una maravilla porque es de un estudio pequeño. muy buenas ideas, bastante bien implementado, pero falla en darle sentido lo que estás haciendo, ritmo y misiones interesantes.

Dec 18, 2021Terrible aiming with a controller. PC version is a lot more playable with a mouse. The game is anyway not worth it - very low budget, barely any story content, just very typical houses and bunkers. Main mission like just sending you from one to another locations without explaining any plot.

Jul 27, 2022What a waste of my time. SUPER BORING and unfair. Don't waste your money on this piece of crap

Mar 18, 2023Strongly underrated.
Love the graphics, the atmosphere, the sound design, the gunfights, the permanent tension, the duration... every aspect of the game actually.
Can't stop playing it. It deserves way more credit than it got until then.
Big thanks to the devs for keeping improving their baby for almost 4 years now! -

Dec 4, 2021Amazing game. You need patience and learn how to survive. You need to use stealth and be strategic. If you like survival/realism/stealth this is a game for you. They made The swedish nature spot on and its absolutly beautiful. I've played like 80 hours+ and haven't Come across a single bug or glitch yet.I dont know If this was bad when it first came out but know it's a True hidden gem.

Dec 11, 2021I am 10-20 hours into this game and I am absolutely loving it so far. Probably the best game I have played all year.
-
Dec 13, 2021Just added to game pass and I am enjoying it! These type of survival lite games are just what us console gamers need. Reminds me of a first person vigor without the multiplayer vs aspect, and added robots.

Nov 8, 2022One of the most suprising gems ever! Could be better (saving system, auto aim for controller, bug fix etc.) but mostly great experience!

Official Xbox Magazine UKMay 22, 2019An interesting concept and setting, held back by its rather lacking execution. [Issue#177, p.78]

Apr 15, 2019It's gorgeous to look at, the soundtrack is infectious and the map is well-designed but that's simply not enough to sustain a large title like this for very long.

Apr 15, 2019At the end of the day, I will gladly call ‘Generation Zero’ a good game. It brings new elements and ideas together in a unique setting that hasn’t been seen before. However, the game’s point of difference is also its biggest downfall due to a lack of consistency across all elements of gameplay. Even though Avalanche Studios are constantly working on improving and updating the game, I wouldn’t call it a finished title just yet. Truthfully, I don’t feel that this game is overly suited for the Xbox and would be more enjoyable with a team of 4 people playing on PC. With time, ‘Generation Zero’ could become something incredible, but not just yet.
