    Story/Campaign- Best campaign in the entire series.
    Graphics/Visuals - Dynamic 4K 60fps on the Xbox One X the game is well versed and looks awesome in every locale it brings you to.
    Multiplayer - Escape is a new addition presents a challenge the more the higher you set the difficulty. Horde is better with Jack and Finally Vs mode is balanced you don't need to rely on Gnasher and if you are afraid to the shotgun play arcade mode.

    Cons

    - early bugs/now fixed
    -Expensive ass skins

    Gears 5 launched with a ton of content with modes for everyone. The game is very accessible well worth $60 to own and even a bigger value being apart of the $10/15 Game pass subscription on Console and PC you can also get it on steam. Gears 5 isn’t a game that sits in your backlog it is a reason you will accumulate a backlog.

    This game is incredible. The Coalition and Microsoft have pulled out all the stops on this graphical masterpiece. It brings Gears back into the fold as a must have game.

    Well, i dont like the open world. Gears of War dont Need that imho... I prefer the old Gear-Games much more. The graphics are nice.. but the atmosphere sometimes a little bit low..

    Best game in series, Less epic moments in comparsion with GoW 2, but much more stornger story line and varied gameplay.

    todo lo que un juego de accion en 3er persona debe ser sin duda lo mejor del año sin duda un exelente gears que ni con todo el hate que existe pudo detener el gran lanzamiento que tuvo.

    y se nota que todos los que dieron 0 son hater sonyers ya que todos curiosamente se quejan de lo mismo hasta parecen grabadoras dicen exactamente lo mismo.

    I want to start this review by saying I've never been the biggest 'Gears Of War' fan. I've played each installment (other than Judgement) and the only one that I REALLY had fun with was Gears 3. None of the gears stories really caught my attention and therefore I just never got invested. That being said, I gave Gears 4 a shot and the story was pretty "bleh" but the way it ended with theI want to start this review by saying I've never been the biggest 'Gears Of War' fan. I've played each installment (other than Judgement) and the only one that I REALLY had fun with was Gears 3. None of the gears stories really caught my attention and therefore I just never got invested. That being said, I gave Gears 4 a shot and the story was pretty "bleh" but the way it ended with the cliffhanger had me a bit more invested in a gears story than I ever imagined I'd be. Needless to say, I was excited to give this game a shot. And everything they showed up to launch this past summer has only gotten me more excited. Firstly, This was an absolutely incredible game to play through. After the opening scene, the visuals were what hooked me immediately (running on my Xbox one X). This is hands down one of the best looking games I've ever seen on any console (right up there with Red dead 2, God of War, Metro Exodus, etc etc). The story was absolutely on another level compared to any other Gears I have played. I cared about the characters! Even JD, and he was absolutely static (in my opinion) in Gears 4. Completing campaign took me about 2 full days of non stop gaming (about 7-8 hours/day) at a pretty average pace while completing all of the side missions I could find (they give u like 7-8 side missions throughout the game). I'd say if you want ALL of the collectibles and side missions completed, this game could take upwards or 16 hours. For me personally I am 100% willing to put this in my top 3 games from this generation on any platform (1. Red dead 2, 2. God Of War, 3. Gears 5) based on the main criteria I look for in games which are story (9/10), Visuals (10/10), Gameplay (10/10). Gotta give Xbox Game studios credit where credit is due. Xbox has had a rough go of it this gen but this is definitely one hell of a swan song to end the Xbox One Generation.

    Un gran juego, con muy buena historia que lo complementa con grandes escenarios y sonidos, el multiplayer sigue siendo firme con la saga. En conclusion puedo decir que es el mejor juego de la saga y que va por un buen camino

The gameplay is smooth, the multi-player is fast paced and chaotic. 5 player Hoard with matchmaking is super fun. It's clear the Coalition listened and has taken everything the community loved about prior Gears games, expanding on it to make it better all around.

    Fighting along side the old Gears, Marcus, Cole, Clayton Carmine was an absolutely amazing experience. This game definitely deserves a 10/10. After that cliffhanger ending with Kait, I can't wait for Gears 6!    … Expand

    The red cog taking up the entire screen and blocking vision when damaged is a terrible mechanic. And in conjunction with the low health and weird weapon tuning, the thing/essence that made gears of war gears of war has been lost.     The game is a hollow experience overall and, for a reason I can't quite explicitly articulate, the kills and the in this game lack the feeling of satisfaction that the previous gears games had. Anyone with a half decent palate for gears of war as a franchise will be able to tell what I mean.

    Overall, I am very disappointed. And I think many other hardcore fans of the franchise will feel the same way.    … Expand

    Esperava um modo campanha pequeno, mas me surpreendi com o jogo, já no ato 1 começa bombando e só fica melhor. O novo modo fuga ficou muito show, desafiador pra caramba recomendado pra jogar com mais 2 amigos pra ser divertido mesmo. Nota 10!

    This is probably the best Gears of War I have played since the original and is definitely a more deserving sequel than 4 was. There's plenty of new added to the old to satisfy original fans as well as entertain those new to the series. Horde is probably my favorite mode.

    Terrible. Filled with bugs and glitches on top of HORRIBLE, anti-consumer, predatory micro-transactions. How far Gears of War franchise has fallen, no wonder they changed the name to Gears 5, this isn't true Gears of War and it doesn't deserve that name, this is just another terrible product from Xbox Games Studios.

    A much needed fresh look at what Gears is destined to become. With a complete package of game modes and progression that will provide entertainment for months to come. A 3 player coop and use of Jack really adds diversity to the tried and true gears gameplay.

    A strong adition to one of my favorite series. Hardcore action, variation and so much meat on the bone regarding campaign AND multiplayer content (something I usually dont play in other games) like Horde, Escape etc. Nice!

Seu gameplay é consistente, bem trabalhado e com novidades, como o "Dave" e "Jack" que são uma ótima adição e são uma nova mecânica ao jogo. Desde de pegar itens onde não conseguimos alcançar com o nosso personagem, até uma simples mas interessante árvore de upgrades com habilidades que nos auxiliam durante as batalhas.Incrível, lindo, espetacular e visceral! Gears 5 é uma obra prima. Seu gameplay é consistente, bem trabalhado e com novidades, como o "Dave" e "Jack" que são uma ótima adição e são uma nova mecânica ao jogo. Desde de pegar itens onde não conseguimos alcançar com o nosso personagem, até uma simples mas interessante árvore de upgrades com habilidades que nos auxiliam durante as batalhas. Modo Campanha repaginado, com grande carga emocional. Personagens carismáticos, um ex disso é o "JD Fenix", que no 4 era um personagem fraco, no primeiro ato aqui já se torna mais interessante, sem falar de Del e Katy. O Online como sempre muito bem refinado e viciante, ainda me falta o modo Escape, se mantiver a qualidade da campanha e do multiplayer convencional, tenho certeza que irei amar.… Expand

    AMAZING!! I can't think of other words to describe this game. Probably the best game of 2019!!!! Can't believe those hater can criticize this game and give it a 0 score: they probably haven't played it and stuck their head so deep in PS 4 ass, it's the only reasonable explanation, because Gears 5 is almost uncriticizable.

    Gears 5 is the best gears of War game to date. With the emphasis on storytelling and emotional connection between each character Gears 5 is one of the best Xbox games I've ever played. I took away 1 point due to the pacing being a little off once you get into the skiff but it is a great game and must play if you're a shooter fan.

I was pleasantly surprised at how the campaign evolved the story while adding in RPG Elements, Stealth moments, and a Semi-open - World with Side missions.     Pros: -Tremendous mouse and keyboard support! It plays like a first class PC game. If people complain about it they just aren't good or haven't tweaked settings. -Gorgeous graphics and tremendously optimized! -Intriguing and unique campaign. -Multiplayer stays true to its roots while adding (not subtracting) new variants and modes that keep it fresh.    This game is loads of fun!

    -I wish they had PC splitscreen on the multiplayer but I get it. PC games aren't the playground for that.
    -Buggy launch (that ive noticed has been quickly fixed for me)

    Gears 5 could very well end up being among the best in the series over time, but only if Coalition manages to patch its many problematic technical issues that is currently destroying an otherwise excellent package. As of right now, I just can't recommend it at full price. It's fun when everything works, but this may be the buggiest launch of any triple-A video game this year.

    Gears all day!! Can't stop playing if you access to an Xbox it's a must play. Coalition should be very proud of what they made hear bringing back a solid franchise to it grace. It's beautiful it's bloody it's good old gears of war. Great job guys

The campaign is huge, act 1 is bigger and better than Gears 4, on act 2-3 the game become openworld and act 4 becomes linear again to end this gorgeous game in any sense, alongside with Red Dead 2 this is best graphic you can have, and runs smooth on One X, solid 60fps. Characters block your view often when in combat. Cover system is clunky and inaccurate. Visual bugs. Game is obviously unfinished. This is my least favorite in the series.     Gears 5 is the best gears since the 3rd one, the coalition has done a phenomenal job in evolving the series into new heights. I never felt that much invested in the story, imo it has the best writing in the franchisee.     Gears 5 is not only the best Xbox game to be released this generation, it’s an incredible journey that tells a great story and leaves you speechless with its breathtaking visuals and smooth gameplay. The beloved series is back on the right track and it’s a big win for a company that has struggled to compete with AAA titles in recent years.

    Gears 5 is a beautifully made game that has great gameplay and easy to use controls. It may not be as good as the original, but it is definitely one of the best Gears of War games!! The graphics are absolutely mind-blowing and out of this world!

    Pretty graphics, dated art direction, lacking any destructability and physics. The open sections are empty and pointless, game in reality is the same old gears we have seen many times before. HDR is a highlight and is very well done and the game is definitely a step up from Gears 4.

    The best Gears game I have played. The visuals are stunning and the story is gripping. I cannot put the controller down (except to watch the amazing story cut scenes).

    Multiplayer is FIRE. The new modes really are a good variety to cater for ALL gears fans.

It's gonna have free updates and every unlockable can be earned in game, there's a great sense of progression only a Gears, Halo, or COD game can deliver. The horde mode takes the cake for my #1 wave mode ever. Horde in Gears 2 had something competitors in the shooting genre like Left4Dead, Halo, COD, Fortnite could never recreate. Gears 3, 4, and Judgements hordes created quality of life improvements but Gears 5 is an absolut leap. Horde 5.0 represents the first true evolution for itself in the series and similar modes in other shooters. Escape is just the shockingly enthralling cherry on top. Gears 5 is a game that goes above and beyond my favorite game in the series, Gears of War 2. The Coalation deserves a round of applause.     Gears 5 es todo lo que un Gears debería ser. Acción, sangre, explosiones, vacile etc. Este juego tiene todo eso envuelto en unoa gráficos de escándalo, un frame rate que dobla el de todos los títulos punteros gráficamente en esta generación. Gratamente sorprendido, la verdad. En una X se ve de 10.

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
