    Having finished the game twice now have to say the graphics + resolution and 60fps makes this by far one of the best looking games out their the story in this game especially one of the best in the series.

    Joguei a campanha, um primor e o multiplayer "fuga" e "horda" é a NATA do Gears 5.
    Tem pessoas que não sabem, mas o Gears 5 tem uma especie de SEASON PASS que voce nao precisa pagar, é bom demais, é tipo um SEASON PASS do FORTNITE, so que voce nao paga, basta ter o jogo.

    Ridiculously irritating game.
    - AI teammates are stupid as hell and there's not much control over them in comparison to the first trilogy;
    - Small amount of memorable arenas and situations; - 2 and 3rd act are empty large locations with hub and spikes; - Secondary missions are not good enough to be proper levels/missions; - Bosses and minibosses are superboring; - The flock is buggy; -    Ridiculously irritating game.

    They improve the game in many areas but in others they just got it wrong and it seems nobody wanted to mention in the reviews that are out there. The game has bugs. What kind of bugs you may say? Well saving bugs and those are really annoying when you are playing in insane dificulty mode.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For the large majority, this game is brilliant. By allowing players to have a greater range of 'independence', the game develops its own unique identity with the introduction of side missions and other optional tasks to complete in a variety of newly generated areas. The games story also excels by putting Kate at the forefront and developing her character immensely, whilst also sticking to the roots of what the franchise is grounded upon. Furthermore, giving the player an option that impacts the story as a whole in the final act was a very unexpected yet brilliant concept that many games before have utilised to entice a fan base. The only set backs in my opinion without spoiling too much would have to be almost the entirety of the first act as it doesn't really add that much to the overarching story in some ways, as well as the open areas feeling a tad too empty in places. However, this is an easy fix for the future games and was definitely a risk worth taking! This is an 8.5 score game once you get used to the game mechanics. Highly recommend for people who enjoy story-driven FPS games… Expand

    Same old gears formula with slightly better graphics, there's no innovation in the game and it is being milked to death due to lack of another new ips by microsoft
    The controls are decent,but the online multiplayer is laggy and unreliable, alot of glitches and overall not worth the 60 dollar price tag

    Finally they make a campaign that's nice and long. I was so disappointed with the early Gears games for being sickeningly short. So I didn't play the later 3 games until the social distancing crap. Gears 5 is the perfect balance of action and adventure. The graphics are amazing. Deformable terrain. New guns. And great story. My only gripe is that I wish that they had left the reload timeFinally they make a campaign that's nice and long. I was so disappointed with the early Gears games for being sickeningly short.     Otro imprescindible más de los XBOX GAME STUDIOS ésta vez de la mano de The Coalition. Un gran trabajo a nivel tecnico, los gráficos en 4K son realmente espectaculares en One X, la trama esta muy bien llevada. La variedad de escenarios muy lograda. Y sobre todo la acción, es que está a otro nivel sin lugar a dudas. Obligatoria su compra. En gamepass dia 1.

    Il miglior gears of war di sempre. Un single player rinnovato e godibile, livelli di difficoltà ben bilanciati, in folle da il meglio di sé. Il multiplayer con qualche aggiunta degna di nota, sicuramente ancora il top nei tps.

This Tour of Duty feels like a cheap Battle Pass Especially with this weekly character buying sh!t, Escape should be something new but it falls flat after 1-2 rounds. The critic's and the players who rate this game 10/10 clearly didn't played the real ones. The Wall Bounce which is a bug, now sold as a feature(well that's one thing they learned from Bethesda) They should remaster Gears two(just graphics) and compare wich one gets a bigger multiplayer base.     It is the best Gears of War, absolutely amazing and perfect. Campaign, horde, scape, multiplayer, you can play all of this and the graphics are one of the best of the current generation of consoles.

    I have been a long faithful fan of this saga, Gears 5 is no exception. This new release its fair good as overall. Here a few things I don't like; they now sell everything (skins), the server is still failing (which is really, really bad).

    JOGAÇO!!! De tirar o fôlego. Alguma problemas técnicos no lançamento que foram corrigidos. Melhor gráfico da geração sem a mínima dúvida. Quem gosta de shooter obrigatoriamente vai amar Gears 5. A história da campanha não é totalmente conclusiva deixando margem para um Gears 6.

    I have played all of these games thanks to xbox game pass which is a great deal. However, this one has been the most filler/unfair entry into the series. They have filler open world parts that do not fit the format of these past games. I am a fan of open world games, however, when i play gears of war I just want to kill some dang aliens. It's completly different to the previous games of the franchise but doesn't lose the essence of the saga, what is great. This time, most of the game experience unfolds in differents open areas where we'll have to complete locations we can find trough the map to continue with the main story.     We can still find loads of actions and heart stopping moments that we were used to see in this games, what makes it addictive and fun to play. However all this joy is a bit short due to the lenght of the campaing; the online and survival mode are entertaining, but not the main reason to play this game by far. I also missed new weapons...     It's just not the same Gears i remember a decade ago. This iteration is bogged down with microtransactions that lock the exciting aspects of the game behind a paywall. Plus the game is a broken mess a half year after it's been out. What a shame.

La verdad es que me gustó mucho no le doy un nueve por la siguiente razón Me hubiera gustado que kait se uniera a el bando de el enjambre que en el momento que van con niles ella experimentará lo poderosa que sería siendo reina de el enjambre y así tener de nuevo a su madre Claro solo es un sueño mío XD Pero si ese si hubiera Sido todo un giro de trama O. Tal ves algo muy genial No me cae mal kait de echo me agrada Pero por eso esa para mí hubiera Sido lo mejor El Game play es fenomenal claro parecido a todos los gears pero da un pequeño aire refrescante cuando te dan la elección de eliminarlos sigilosamente o a tiros y las habilidades de Jack me gustaron también ahora es más útil y que bueno que regreso los nuevos agregados de el enjambre me gustaron sobretodo los rebaños La elección de salvar a jd o del me pareció interesante el regreso de Jack y hacerlo más útil me gustó mucho Y la integración de los antiguos héroes es buena por qué no se siente como si se negaroan a ya dejarlos descansar y darle oportunidad a los nuevos protagonistas El multijugador no me acaba de gustar mucho Pero es cuestión de acostumbrarse Y el final el final es un final que quizá podría haber mejorado claro da incapié a el siguiente juego pero aún así siento que algo más épico al menos para mí.     Very cool sequel that feels much more modern and progressive than the overly cautious fourth instalment. The Coalition are really getting the hang of this series. Great graphics and audio must get a special mention ...the game is amazing to behold in 4K HDR.

    I'm going to be 100% honest rn, I don't know why this boring extended story exist beyond the need to continue the main story, which could have been done by expanding the gears lore by showcasing more "Cog Soldier Stories" as playable missions to show off the sheer level of "Tilted" "Fubared-ness" that was going on in the rebel & then locus wars like what was showed off in the first mission's in gears 4, but no, we get Marcus & Friends explore a side character's backstory that nobody asked or wanted to know about for two games now. And Microsoft wonders why this series has been a laughing stock since gears 3 ended back in 2011 with judgement being the only exception so far because its multiplayer was fun.    … Expand

    This is disappointing. For all thos loving the open world aspect, well that simply is not Gears of War. Microtransactions, cards? With people of you gave this game anything above a five cancel your Gold account. Add in the sound problems the progression that sucks your life away, you got something, just not a Gears Of War game.

GOW4 has already taken a big step forward and moved away from the classic mechanics of playing GOW towards game-travel. But part 5 didn 't just inherit it, but developed it. This is clearly my favorite part of the series, which hasGears 5 is one of the best games of 2019, the best game from Microsoft in 2019 and one of the best in the entire generation of Xbox One (however grey it is). GOW4 has already taken a big step forward and moved away from the classic mechanics of playing GOW towards game-travel. But part 5 didn 't just inherit it, but developed it. This is clearly my favorite part of the series, which has even been able to surpass the 2 part. 2 open level great new experience for the Gears gameplay, yes a bit empty on the map, but it clearly went to the plus. And the plot is very dynamic and there are a couple of twists. Thank you Microsoft for playing such a game, looks great on Xbox One X.

    After roughly 10 hours I completed the Story and didnt expect such a good campaign. It was different in its gameplay parts, you get a lot of shooting but also more silent parts and for the most important u have a lot of fun with the gameplay/graphics and characters. I would highly recommend this game, also if u just want to play the story. Besides    This is an epic package of Gears.

    Lo único que vale la pena es la campaña al agregar el cuchillo le quitaron la escencia a la saga y lo hicieron en algunos aspectos como Calle of Duty, el multijugador es una mierda los Wallbounce ya no son efectivos y hay autoapuntado que lo facilita mucho las armas yatienen más alcance lo que lo hace aun mas fácil

    O melhor gears já feito, faz você gostar da nova geração, gráficos muito bons, multiplayer ótimo, quem ta reclamando que o jogo está a mesma coisa querem que o jogo vire um call of duty? O jogo está perfeito, não vejo um melhor gears 5 do que esse que temos.

The story mode I spending half the time driving looking for stupid things, I just want to play, not forced into hunting for items. The Hive mode is awful, beast mode from Gears 3 would have been a better choice.. Now it is going to full of BS micro transactions and when you used the word "fortnite" to compare parts of this game , it absolutely turned me away. i know the hook is find kids who have parents, or their own, credit cards and get them to spend hundreds of dollars on your trash but some of us realize when you are only going after the money and don't care about the quality of the game.. The game looks incredible (one of the best-looking looking games of 2019 along with Devil May Cry V), runs at near constant 60fps during the entire campaign (except for a few notable hiccup spots) is crammed pack with various multiplayer modes which it is still adding to the game, a greatly improved campaign over Gears of War 4, great new weapons (Breaker Mace is my favorite), new enemy varieties to spice up the campaign (such as the Rejects and Wardens), Terminator: Dark Fate and Halo: Reach character cameos, great old and new characters (shoutouts to JACK, Baird, JD, Fahz, Samson, Iris) and overall, great gameplay. Only have a few minor cripes, such as Rev-9/Grace character pack being too expensive, bugs (most of them fix themselves or are generally harmless, but at least 1-2 are annoying, they'll fix it though, devs seem quick to address issues), the Lancer aim is bit off from Gears of War 4, shotgun seems a bit off from Gears of War 4, and not a big fan of the choice you have to make in the end of campaign story's (prefer a linear narrative).… Expand

    This game is amazing! The game looks beautiful! The story was wonderful with lots of twists and action that made me want to keep playing it, the combat was so much better and more diverse than gears 4 too! As for the multiplayer side I think they did fantastic. Escape is nice but I wish characters where not locked for escape or horde only. The only improvements I would offer: Open up character selection completely for horde/escape. Provide a broader way of earning things (for example beating the campaign on insane or something should unlock something, like maybe a cool skin for kait)… Expand

Every multiplayer mode (including campaign) has game breaking bugs. The promise of, "no loot boxes", was quickly cheapened by the inclusion of heavy microtransactions. This is not Gears.     O melhor da série pra mim. Grandiosos momentos da história, jogo leve e bem otimizado. Só senti falta de um mapa um pouco maior e mais locais para explorar, mas para um jogo que saiu do linear para um mapa quase aberto, ja está ótimo.

    Great game and it's a much bigger improvement to the previous gears. Amazing graphic and the audio of Dolby gives it a much better experience. Great story,great game and can't wait for the next.

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
