    This game does what it and it does well. It's a solid Musou combat well and it adds a fun Empire mode, and I can make my own Captain again!This game does what it and it does well. If so, this game is for you. Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires is outdated, repetitive, weird, and buggy... but there is nothing else like it available for Xbox One. It can actually be pretty fun.

    The PS4 and PS Vita have gotten the lion's share of obscure / hardcore Japanese games and XONE owners have been left in the dust. With the customization options, RISK-like strategy, the layers of weapons, items, and stratagems... you can make DW8:Empires into something more than the sum of its parts. I have not been able to play online / co-op, but I imagine that might further increase the value of this game.    … Full Review »

The fast hack n´slay action combined with strategic moments and the cool character building system are satisfying. But in the end the game is very repetitive and the series seems a bit stuck.
