    Would you like your time-traveling Cyborg Monk to ride into battle on the back of a panda, releasing relentless rage-combos with your Gatling gun against thousands of anonymous soldier drones? If so, this game is for you. Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires is outdated, repetitive, weird, and buggy... but there is nothing else like it available for Xbox One. It can actually be pretty fun.

    The PS4 and PS Vita have gotten the lion's share of obscure / hardcore Japanese games and XONE owners have been left in the dust. With the customization options, RISK-like strategy, the layers of weapons, items, and stratagems... you can make DW8:Empires into something more than the sum of its parts. I have not been able to play online / co-op, but I imagine that might further increase the value of this game.    … Expand

    This game does what it and it does well. It's a solid Musou combat well and it adds a fun Empire mode, and I can make my own Captain again! Its been awhile since i could do that and there so much going on. Is it for everyone, no, but for those who it was made for, it's a solid and fun title. Worth at least a try.

    Alright: This game is OK. If you've played ANY of the previous Dynasty Warriors games, the gameplay is almost identical. Unfortunately for XOne users, there isn't a game of this nature that is better on XOne at the moment. This game has decent enough mechanics for those who love the Dynasty Warriors series, but the since the game can be glitchy (Dynasty Warrior games notoriously are) theAlright: This game is OK. If you've played ANY of the previous Dynasty Warriors games, the gameplay is almost identical. Unfortunately for XOne users, there isn't a game of this nature that is better on XOne at the moment. This game has decent enough mechanics for those who love the Dynasty Warriors series, but the since the game can be glitchy (Dynasty Warrior games notoriously are) the one major GLARING issue with the title is the bizarre lack of autosave, a concept that has been around since 1994, when Sonic 3 for Sega Genesis unveiled it to the world.
    The glitches are rare, but if you are a power-gamer, these glitches can ultimately ruin your gameplay. This is a STRATEGY game. As such, there is typically enough going on that remembering to save every couple of years SHOULD NOT be one of the most important things to the gamer. IF they manage to fix this with the next title (and going as high as 8 shows us there is no stopping the franchise) then it will be worth playing.     Best of the empire series.

    Tip. Dont slack training or youll get overwhemed in empire mode.

    I was slaughteered even though i had 86% of all the land before they attacked me.

    While the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires is classic, the graphics are very outdated. The fast hack n´slay action combined with strategic moments and the cool character building system are satisfying. But in the end the game is very repetitive and the series seems a bit stuck. But Dynasty Warriors fans will have their fun.

    Fans may enjoy the fast-paced action and emphasis on character building, but everybody else will be left scratching their heads at the outdated graphics and repetitive gameplay.
