    Arc System Works has created the most approachable Dragon Ball game ever, and one of the most accessible fighting games. Fans of either should be overjoyed to welcome newcomers to their ranks, and those newcomers get to experience two of the most accepting and supportive communities in fandom. Everybody wins.

I have to admit that I’m quite a fan of the series and I’ve played many Dragon Ball game’s and in my opinion Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best if not the best game in the series so far. The story which is very important in a game like this is absolutely fantastic and for me it’s the best the series has had to offer so far. Nothing much was needed to change regarding the combat and thankfully once again the combat is a real treat. The moves when pulled off look and feel fantastic and everything feels fluid and responsive throughout. Whilst the roster isn’t massive they’ve done a great job of the characters that are on offer and each different character feels unique in its own way, which is great. In terms of content the game has a huge amount to offer you and without a doubt you will be playing this game for month’s to come. The thing that impressed me about the content that’s present in the game is the amount of variety each mode has. Each mode plays very differently and it’s a pleasure to try each mode out. I was especially impressed with the online side of the game and not once did I suffer with any problems, and the best thing is that each skill level has been catered for. The story mode is also very good, but I did have some problems when the difficulty spiked out of nowhere in certain areas. The presentation side of the game is absolutely awesome. Visually the games looks gorgeous and it really makes you become more immersed with the gameplay. The sound design has also been done to perfection and it really makes every battle feel important, which is great. At the end of the day fans of the Dragon Ball series will absolutely fall in love with Dragon Ball FighterZ. This game has taken everything that’s good in the series and amazingly its managed to make it even better, which is no small feat. If you’ve never played a Dragon Ball game before then this is the perfect place to start because it caters to newcomers as well as veterans of the series. To say I enjoyed this game would be a massive understatement and I can see it providing me with many more enjoyable hours and without a doubt it gets a huge thumbs up from me.… Full Review »

The animation, combined with artistic graphics really set it apart from other games and it also beautifully complements the gameplay. It's so brisk, and is one of the greatest technical achievements in the genre and can't be avoided… Full Review »
