    The Dragon Ball series has a huge following and that’s mainly because their game’s manage to improve each year, and Dragon Ball FighterZ is no exception. I have to admit that I’m quite a fan of the series and I’ve played many Dragon Ball game’s and in my opinion Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best if not the best game in the series so far. I have to admit that I’m quite a fan of the series and I’ve played many Dragon Ball game’s and in my opinion Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best if not the best game in the series so far. The story which is very important in a game like this is absolutely fantastic and for me it’s the best the series has had to offer so far. Nothing much was needed to change regarding the combat and thankfully once again the combat is a real treat. The moves when pulled off look and feel fantastic and everything feels fluid and responsive throughout. Whilst the roster isn’t massive they’ve done a great job of the characters that are on offer and each different character feels unique in its own way, which is great. In terms of content the game has a huge amount to offer you and without a doubt you will be playing this game for month’s to come. The thing that impressed me about the content that’s present in the game is the amount of variety each mode has. Each mode plays very differently and it’s a pleasure to try each mode out. I was especially impressed with the online side of the game and not once did I suffer with any problems, and the best thing is that each skill level has been catered for. The story mode is also very good, but I did have some problems when the difficulty spiked out of nowhere in certain areas. The presentation side of the game is absolutely awesome. Visually the games looks gorgeous and it really makes you become more immersed with the gameplay. The sound design has also been done to perfection and it really makes every battle feel important, which is great. At the end of the day fans of the Dragon Ball series will absolutely fall in love with Dragon Ball FighterZ. This game has taken everything that’s good in the series and amazingly its managed to make it even better, which is no small feat. If you’ve never played a Dragon Ball game before then this is the perfect place to start because it caters to newcomers as well as veterans of the series. To say I enjoyed this game would be a massive understatement and I can see it providing me with many more enjoyable hours and without a doubt it gets a huge thumbs up from me.… Expand

    Excelente juego de peleas frenético adictivo nose por que los de Xbox lo calificaron tan bajo para ps4 tiene mejor nota yo tengo ps4 también pero entre la Xbox no hay diferencias es un juego entretenido con historia luchas en líneas cómpralo que esperas

    Animation is great and the game is really simple to pick up and play, even for newcomers to the Dragon Ball franchise.

    otimos graficos variedade de personagens e boa campanha de fato e como se jogassemos 1 anime .espero que o proximo nos possibilite voar pelo mapa e ter 1 liberdade maior do combate os combows com 1 botao tirao 1 pouco a questao de estrategia e apertar tudo contuer botao e ainda dar 1 baita combo soa meio sem sentido,porem ainda e 1 otimo game.

    Este game me surpreendeu, isso pq nao sou fâ do universo Dragon Ball, mas este game tem mecanicas fluidas de combos e golpes (parecidos com UMC 3) e isso é muito bom e divertido de se jogar.

    Ok I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. This game is simply the best Fighting Game that I have ever played. It is the first fighting game that I spent 14 hours of one day, yes 14 hours in one day, playing it. It has consumed my life since I first bought and I know I am late to get this review done, but I had to. This is one the best games of the year, not including God of War and SpiderOk I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. This game is simply the best Fighting Game that I have ever played. It has consumed my life since I first bought and I know I am late to get this review done, but I had to. This is one the best games of the year, not including God of War and Spider man as I have not played them but I bet they are simply amazing, and I think that you should buy this game if you are a competitive Fighting Game fan. I'd recommend Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for more casual players though, as this game's story mode isn't the best, and casual fans may not enjoy it.… Expand

    Looks amazing on xbox one x and plays consistently at 60 fps. If you are a fan of the series this is a must buy. It is the best fighting game I have ever played.

    Quite possibly the best 2D fighter ever made. This is why we play games in the first place. There have been decent DB games before this, but nothing close to FighterZ. The animation, combined with artistic graphics really set it apart from other games and it also beautifully complements the gameplay. It's so brisk, and is one of the greatest technical achievements in the genre and can't be avoided

    Ok, so I never wrote a review for any game, but I felt I had to for this one. I love DBZ...but this game has some serious flaws. First is the overworld lobby. It takes forever to get into and you have to even to play the story mode or fight locally. If you can't get in enough times they offer the option to play in the offline lobby, but that means a good 3-5 min wait before you can fightOk, so I never wrote a review for any game, but I felt I had to for this one. I love DBZ...but this game has some serious flaws. First is the overworld lobby. It takes forever to get into and you have to even to play the story mode or fight locally. This brings me to another issue. The game constantly crashes back to the Xbox dashboard! It's random but frequent. lose a match? Crash. Win a match? Crash. walk around the lobby for 2 1/2 min? Crash. If the game were stable it would easily be a 9 out of 10. They gameplay is beautiful. The characters feel powerful and the animation is breathtaking. But good luck playing it. Full disclosure.     The same guys that brought you Extreme Butoden bring you this solid fighter. By no means is this game perfect it needs work.

    First thing that set me off is the size of the game off the bat. 4.5GB with a day one update of 3.5GB. This game is on a fricken Bluyray disk why can they not fit the 9 GB data on disk without a day one update. 2) The loading times are horrible, 35- 45 seconds    The same guys that brought you Extreme Butoden bring you this solid fighter.     3) Story is boring a fuk! Worst is the story cut-scenes lag and are not smooth. Very choppy cut-scenes take you out of watching the anime experience.

    The fighting is solid and on point . Fast, frantic, fun but the longevity is something to take into question as most fighting games loose attention after a few months.

    The game does justice to the anime and also the fighting genre to such an extent that this game could possibly be argued as one of the best fighting game of the year. However, despite having such a great control mechanic, fighting style, attention to details, and fantastic visual. They still failed to satisfy me in every aspect of the game. However, it seemed like not much has improved since the beta days. I have spent hours trying to create a ring match so I can have one round of a match with a friend eventually, we end up giving up. The game constantly kicks me out of the lobby and takes time to reconnect over and over. This ruins my desire to wanting to play as I am most of the time waiting on a loading screen. I barely got to play any ranked match as I cannot find anyone or it kicks me out while I am middle of a match. It frustrates me and forces me to play story mode since I would like to get something out of a $60 game. But, the story is lackluster and seems repetitive to such extent that it feels more of a chore than entertainment. I would want to give this game the score it deserves but failure to fix the server issue in a timely manner has made me not want to play this game but rather made me start thinking about a refund.… Expand

Clearly, at least some of the staff who worked on this game are big fans, as every character has some sort of finishing move that is a lovingly crafted reproduction of a clip from the show. Some might fault the game for ripping off the show, but I saw this as an homage to the legacy of the series.

    Where this game falters is in the fact that it is simply a standard fighting game. Nothing more, nothing less. The mechanics do seem quite engaging, but my ability to grasp them was nil (and perhaps that is more about my lack of patience than any fault of the game's). More off-putting, however, were the rather lengthy load times and a complete lack of deviance from the standard style of your average fighting game. The arcade mode is simply a series of fights, and the game has so little to offer as a single-player exprience.

    Overall, I felt that there have been other DBZ games in the past that have been more interesting and engaging than this one was. And while it is a decent fighting game, it seems to pale in comparison to the game it borrows its three-fighter aspect from - Marvel Vs. Capcom. For what it's worth, however, I feel that my rating of this game is fairly subjective - if you enjoy DBZ and you enjoy fighting games, you may want to have a look at this one. However, if you are not a fan of either of those things, don't bother with this game. Far better fighting games exist, in my opinion.    … Expand

    Boring. It's pretty much boring. Not sure why they chose boring to be the distinguishing feature. This game has immense potential but it's just a button-smashing wannabe.

I chose offline mode, IMMEDIATELY got greeted by a Gacha mechanic, then had trouble finding the training mode (why not just have a straight-forward menu a la Smash instead of this dumb 3D lobby sh**?), only to then see that half the roster, including such basic characters as regular Goku and Vegeta,Tried this out because it's on Game Pass now and I used to be a big DB fan as a teenager.     The Best Dragon Ball Game I Have ever Played. Has a Small Character Roster compared to Ninja Storm and Xenoverse. But, All The Characters Remain Well and Truly Balanced. Arc System Works really went all-out in this game.

    o jogo é excelente, porem a sistematização de dlcs é altamente prejudicial ao jogo com 3 temporadas até o momento e não sai promoção para quem quer comprar os passes, o jogo é mais barato do que os passes de temporada

    Dragon Ball FighterZ is an amazing fighting game. that certainly manages to attract even those who are not fans of the genre, either for its theme or its differentiated gameplay and faster than other games similar to this. the graphics are spectacular, the mixture of 3D with the traits of creator Akira Toriyama are wonderful, the specials of each character are very worth using.

    not only because they are very strong, but because of the beauty, the details, the enormous quality placed in this game. Each character has his set of blows very different from each other, with an immense creativity. whether it's a character with attacks closer to the opponent, such as Gogeta (SSJ4), or more distance attacks like Vegetto. the soundtrack is great, and the remasteringof the original anime songs are beautiful, and they easily creep.

    the few flaws I can cite are the campaign mode, so there is not much to criticize.
    recommended for many, especially if you are a fan of dragon ball.    … Expand

    Probably one of the best fighting games I've played so far. Though it is sad that most characters are locked between paywalls, the games an absolute blast even without them. Though I'd definitely recommend looking up gameplay before you buy the game, as this game is wildly different compared to the Budokai Tankaichi and Xenoverse series games.

    Good animations, good combat systems and good fidelity to the original manga. Banal Story. After a while it gets too repetitive.

    Dedicated fans and newcomers alike, Dragon Ball FighterZ is able to win people over with its charming and authentic art style. The faithful representation of the anime, coupled with the chaotic satisfaction of stringing together long combos with ease, should entice any fighting game fan. Dragon Ball FighterZ is probably one of the most accessible 2D fighters in a long time and should not be missed.

    Dragon Ball FighterZ is simply a marvel. For Dragon Ball fans it is a no-brainer, for fighting game fans it is a must-have, even for those like me who know next to nothing about the series. It is extremely easy to get into, a blast to play, and it looks outstanding. This is a sleeper of 2018 for me, and I cannot recommend it enough.
