    This is the distilled essence of the FPS genre made into a game. It's everything i could ever hope it to be (let alone actually expect), and more. I don't usually agree with perfect scores, but i think if any game on this generation deserves it, it's this one.

    It improves on its already very good predecessor in pretty much every way. It's action packed from start to finish, with the only breaks being the also pretty good platforming sections. In fact, this is the first time in my life I've seen platforming in first person games actually work. It's nothing too complex, and that's exactly why it works. There are zero issues with missed jumps due to deceiving physics or difficulty in judging distance, it was all very well thought out.

    Combat is perfection. The weapon sandbox is expansive, giving you many, many ways to deal with all the different threats the game tosses your way. Monsters have weaknesses that are made in a way to nudge you towards using all kinds of different weapons, but you're in no way forced to exploit them. You can just as well force your way through anything by just sticking to your favorite guns. That's excellent design. It doesn't punish those who don't play the way they intended, just rewards those who do. Personally, i love quick switching between the super shotgun and the balista. That combo melts just about anything that dares to step on your way, gives you super mobility AND keeps you charged up on armor. You basically become a god.

    The only really bad thing about this whole game is the purple goo. I hope that doesn't make a come back for the next game. Or at least let me boost and jump out of it. Because of that, my actual score for this game is 9.8

    There are some other minor complaints, such as balance issues, for instance i think the ray mod for the plasma gun is too weak and uses too much ammo to be of ANY use, but that's basically a nitpick and for most part most weapons and mods are viable.

    The game is challenging without being punishing (at least on normal and hard difficulties), and is a hell of a power trip when you get the hang of it. So much that i haven't wanted to switch difficulties even though i breeze through anything on the on i picked to play. I'd rather keep feeling like i'm this unstoppable force. But I'll eventually get through the game at least on nightmare difficulty, like i did doom 2016.

    I've already finished it on pc and xbox and i can't stop playing. I lost count of how many times I've gone through the arc complex master level. More of those already, please! This is the best part of the game since i don't have to worry about missing secret pickups or anything. It's just relaxing ripping and tearing all the way.

    Anyway, if you like gameplay-focused fps games, this is a must-have. It's... well it's certainly up there with the best, which to me were the classics (doom, doom2 and hexen). It might, dare i say, even surpass them. Not sure, nostalgia is a **** it won't allow me to just flat out state that. But it's a possibility.

    In short, this is the Ninja Gaiden Black of FPS games. It's the same kind of skill-based, challenging yet rewarding and addicting experience.    … Expand

    ok so doom eternal is a very very fun and fast paste game with alot of different weapon mods and it gives us a very good challenge to overcome also all the people who are saying"Oh ThE AmMo Is NoT PLenTiFuL AnD ItS gArBaGe" well sorry to say this but your just trash at the game and want it to hold your hand but id software and bethesda grab you by the neck and throw you into danger

This game, is absolutely EVERY SINGLE THING a metal head, fast paced lover, intense gamer loves. From the idea that you are a one man army vaporizing an entire species of demons as a consequence of their Earth invasion, to the game ENCOURAGING you to glory kill (a brief, but intense first person kill scene triggered by pressing the melee button near a grazed demon, causing it to be gored, either with the Slayers bare hands, or his melee blade, or shotgun) as it rewards you with health, or as I like to perceive it, a adrenaline rush provided to the Slayer. I never thought, a game like this could provide me with such energy from being a couch potato. How can you not feel ready to ready to carry an entire truck after fiercely gripping your controller from the super intense djent metal music playing in the background as you are on a quest to basically kill the khan maykr, the crooked, selfish traitor responsible for the demon invasion of earth?!??.… Expand

    ID Software has revolutionized the world of gaming and FPS. Doom Eternal is a new proof of that and the best optimization team. It is incredible that the Xbox One S runs stable at 60fps and with incredible detail and drawing distance. The best doom I have ever played.

Теперь основное место событий это Земля, которую заполонили сатанинские отродия с целью уничтожения под корень человеческой рассы для получения их душ, из которых производится аргент-энергия, ибо так повелел древний орден Ночных Стражей и Кан Созидательница. Земля конечно основное место сражения, но далеко не единственное куда нас закинет сюжет. Мы с вами побываем на Фобосе, заглянем в марсианский город Гебет, заскочим в ад и посетим мир Творцов, также время от времени мы конечно же будем посещать наш опорный пункт мрачную обитель и космическую крепость Думгая - как понимаете, география весьма обширная и визуально разнообразная, чего явно не доставало 2016 году. История Doom Eternal увлекательная и мобильная под стать самим сражениям в игре. За ней действительно интересно следить и она не сбивает темп происходящего, всё прекрасно впитывается на одном дыхании в бешеном ритме практически без остановок. А какое тут визуальное сопровождение!!! Все эти бесчисленные руины, поверженные титаны, а некоторые ещё и очень даже живые медленной поступью, сотрясая землю, проходят мимо. Весьма впечатляет, я вам скажу!!! И это только Земля, остальные миры под стать главному полю боя, они по своему великолепны. Бои с полчищами демонов по прежнему потрясающие, ни секунды покоя - только трэш и расчлененка в самом лучшем виде. Головокружительный драйв противостояний по накалу примерно сопоставим с предыдущей частью. Я не очень понимаю тех людей, которые говорят, что Eternal прямо-таки в разы интенсивнее и сложнее предыдущей части. Как по мне в 2016 были арены значительно сложнее нежели в новом, где ты уже просто из последних сил с одним процентом здоровья трясущимися руками и шатаясь на полусогнутых кровавым плевком с горстью своих зубов убивал последнего Властелина Тьмы. Да конечно в Eternal игрока неподготовленного к думовым разборкам будут размазывать тонким слоем по поверхности в считанные секунды, под остальных же игра вполне приспосабливается и даёт все возможности быстро не погибнуть, а в критическом случае подкинуть слабенького монстряку на оздоровляющий распил. Огнестрельный арсенал Палача Рока претерпел незначительные изменения - убрали никому ненужный пистолет и добавили баллисту, ну и конечно косметически подрихтовали уже классический набор, вести огонь из которого ни с чем несравнимое удовольствие...… Expand

    The gameplay of Doom Eternal fits perfectly with the game, everything has a place in the big picture. even the mauraders have a place in the game along with the chainsaw and yes even the monkey bars. The story of Doom Eternal I would give a 6/10 but the gameplay and music make up got it exponentially

I bought this from game pass about 8-10 months ago, and it’s damn near flawless, I could play this for hours, and if I was able to play ancient gods 1 and 2 without spending about 15€, I would, the only problem I have, is with the story, now I know Doom games are meant to be gameplay and fun value focused, but even DOOM 2016 still had pretty good storytelling, but this, I just felt confused, I just didn’t know what the hell was happening, all I knew is that I had to kill, and the way you can play this game, is just shoot the everloving **** out of everything that looks like it’ll hurt you, but you also have to chainsaw, and the strategy of this game, people call it **** but I call it big brained, because they literally made the game harder not just because: **** the customer!” But because they want you to use your brain which is a bit of a first for Doom, because before it was just: “SUPER SHOTGUN AND PUNCH PEOPLE, ****ING KILL THEM, THE WALLS ARE MELTING, MY LUNGS A-WHEEZIN’ MY HEARTS A-SEIZIN, I CAN HEAR SATAN SHOUTING NO, WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING?!” But now it’s: “chaingun, super shotgun, ballista, then super shotgun again on the people with a lot of health” I’m glad they did this.     I play DOOM before workouts for Adrenaline boost,and listen to its Soundtrack during the workout.

    Kickass game. Each special demon has a certain weakness, You gather different BADASS weapons as you move on with the missions. You can pick different runes/skills according to your playstyle which is just great.

    You can discover secrets in the stages and some collectibles help you improve your suit and stuff.I honestly don't want this game to end.The game introduces you new boss demons in certain missions,then those demons can spawn normally in demon stages mid-game.(If you are new to shooters don't choose normal difficulty.

    666/10 A must-have game for shooter fans.

The demons are powerful and there's a good balance of fodder and heavy/super heavy demons in every arena and until the encounter is done so you always have easy ammo and health. killing big demons isDOOM Eternal is one of if not the best game I've ever played (Now sadly I haven't played DOOM 2016) however though the gameplay is so blood pumping and you'll never have a boring experience. The demons are powerful and there's a good balance of fodder and heavy/super heavy demons in every arena and until the encounter is done so you always have easy ammo and health. killing big demons is so amazing in this game. And don't even get me started on the level design. it's so fun to move from one arena to the next with swinging and climbing walls. there are also some easy jump puzzles which are so fun to figure out the amount of detail put into this game is INSANE!!!!!… Expand

    Probably one of the best single player, FPS of all times. Only would have been happier if there weren't quite so many maneuverability tests that were Mandatory (for us non-speed runners) throughout the levels.

    When DOOM came out in 2016, I was shocked of how good it was. When DOOM Eternal came out in 2020, I was shocked of how better is than DOOM (2016). This should say something.

    Badass game. The amount of gore in this game is also quite amazing, as glory kills are very grotesque in the best way possible. You can easily see which demons you have attacked beforehand, as GIB mechanics make it possible to see the chunks of demon you have blown to bits.

The final boss didn't feel threatening at all and I had no issues beating it. The soundtrack fits the ambiance and pace of the game so incredibly well. Time flies when I play this game and the immersion is complete, I highlySame as Doom 2016 but without the flaws the previous 2016 installment had. The campaign is simply perfect yet a bit disappointing when it comes to boss fights. The final boss didn't feel threatening at all and I had no issues beating it.     When you actually finish the game and feeling like a better player afterward will surely make you feel something inside. Accomplishment? maybe. Shame? partly. But mostly just sad that its over. Anyways gotta go melt my face with adrenaline, brain works twice as fast now and real life is way too slow.

    This game did it man. The beginning is a bit rough but once you get past that bit it's so enjoyable beginning to the end. I love this game so much and I can't recommend not enough to anybody who loves these high adrenaline games. 10/10

    DOOM Eternal has became my favorite shooter of all time. For a game I expected to suck it completely surprised me at how true it was to the original with a mix of quake and painkiller. It was fast paced, intense, had great enemy and weapons variety and a kick-ass soundtrack.

O rotire bine executată a genului shooter, care își propune să învețe atât noilor veniți, cât și veteranilor, un mod diferit și unic de abordare a întâlnirilor, nu numai în acest joc, ci și în toate FPS-urile. Excelează la tot ce a introdus Doom din 2016 și împinge asta la o viteză de combustibil mult mai adrenalină decât orice ați experimentat înainte.

It isn't some modern military shooter. It's a puzzle game - nay, a rhythm game disguised as an FPS. That rhythm being a quite literal chainsaw metal soundtrack carried by the game's immaculate level design.

    The enemy design is the strongest I've ever seen in a game. Each one offering something completely different and unique opportunities to destroy them. Every arena is a glorified flowchart where you're assessing your ammo, health, and armor reserves at every given moment. Not to mention the dozens of demons that are always in your face, ready to be shot at.

    The sophistication and fluidity of the combat in this game is amazing. Doom 2016 is crap compare to this and any here claiming otherwise is blinded by nostalgia for that game lol.

    Downloaded and played the Doom previous to this one and its worth playing both, fun game where you can jam out and destroy and kill everything and if you want to make it difficult for yourself you can do that too.

    Doom Eternal is an outstanding entry in the series marredby a few setbacks. There is a ton of content including one of the best shooter campaigns I have played this generation. The push and pull method of the combat is addictive to master and a blast to play. Everything looks and sounds fantastic and this is a game that makes me smile as a fan since the beginning. While the generation may be coming to an end, Doom Eternal is one of the games that will send it off with a bang.
