The original game on PC only kept me going for a few days. When I hit 60, I got bored and never touched it again for 2 years. Then the RoS expansion got release and that's when I started to love this game. For me the game starts at level 70 and will be fun forever. With the addition of Rifts, Bounties and soon Greater Rifts there's loads of variety and the endgame content is endlessly fun. So far my experience with Diablo in general.

When I played this game for about a month full time I can say this game is meant to play on the console. The controls are perfect and I mean perfect for a controller. When you play on pc you have to click where you walk and you stand still. When playing on console you're movement is under your leftstick and you're constantly manoeuvring around. The 2 mouse buttons are RT and RB for me, the skillsbar (1-4) are your ABXY buttons. This works like a charm. The skills menu is a bit getting used to, but they designed it in a way that when you get used to it, you can do it blind. They added a few nice things on consoles like the gift system and Nemesis kills as well.

This game would receive a 10/10 if they banned all players with hacked items and if they created the 'clans and communities' from PC to make it easier to play together. It is a little too dependant on your friendslist now (which is no problem for me, but it still would be a great addition to make it even easier on us to find equally experienced players). Love this game on the console!

This game provides hours upon hours of playability. The cut scenes are from the gaming future, the loot is worth hacking and slashing for, and for those of us that like "the grind", it's a perfect match. As far as the Diablo series goes, the Ultimate Evil Edition rises to the top.

8.0 max. One of the better titles released 2014. Polished seamless play in 3rd person with a good display. AI in creature design is lacking and this becomes more of a bash and smash affair also with magic. Still has some good map tricks and traps that will make you think before you act. Entertaining as a game that can be played over and over with different character designs.

This game has sucked up hours and hours of my life... but I'm not complaining. The amount of stuff you can do and gear you can collect in this game is ridiculous. Also, having played this game a bit on PC, I was wondering how the controls would work on a console - I'm happy to report the controls actually work better on consoles than on PC. Very good port of the pc version. I played first on PC and actually preferred the console version with the direct movement controls. Adventure mode (on both versions) helps extend the life of the game further. About the only negative point for me is that the menus on the console version are a bit clunkier than on PC.

I'll be honest, I get a little bored playing solo but add 1-3 more adventurers and this game takes off. It's an absolute riot punctuated by cries of "I've levelled up!" and "I've found some legendary pants!"
The story is fantastic, the gameplay is brilliant and the game's longevity is boosted by the addition of Adventure Mode.
I don't know how this game compares to its PC counterpart as I've never played it, but I do know it plays fantastically on the XboxOne.
I can't give the game a 9 or a 10 because it's just not up there with my favourite games, but it certainly deserves a solid 8 and has probably been my most played game since I entered the next generation of consoles.

The only really disappointing thing with choosing a character is that you can't change their appearance at. When I play an RPG, I want to have control of what my character looks like. The story for this game is actually a little intriguing. Usually for past Blizzard games, I never paid attention to the story because it was week and Blizzard games are more for the gameplay and combat. But I like the story because it's essentially a battle between Heaven and Hell. Another reason I got into the story is because at the beginning of each act is a well done cinematic cut-scene that's very fun and interesting to watch. Now to the gameplay; this is where the game shines. In just one character class, there are many ways to play. You have a bunch of different abilities and attacks to choose from, within each ability and attack you can choose a perk so the possibilities are endless. I love the combat because tons of enemies swarm you at once, and you can basically mow them all down with moves. Another great thing about gameplay is the looting and equipment system. You come across tons of different loot through out the campaign, each item usually has its own unique appearance. Dressing your character with the equipment is simplistic because the game automatically shows you the the comparisons between each piece of equipment. You can also upgrade your equipment to make is better, and you can dye your equipment to have a matching set and make your character look better. When I play this game, I usually play a half an Act or a full Act at a time (there are five Acts). After that, I need to to break for a couple weeks or so from this game because playing a session that long can leave you bored. After taking a break for an extended period of time, I get right back on the game, and it's as good as before. This game is pretty great that will have you playing for a long time. Expand
