I’ve played this game a bunch doing 100% of content and even being 76 on the leaderboard one season and I have to say it’s amazing not too much grinding for a casual play through but it allows you to get a lot better stuff on a competitive standpoint 10/10

For casual gamers the console port can be overwhelming. I honestly wish I just found this as years later and making the console switch I still go back every season to gear out a Monk, just for the feel of the loot. I said for years what kept people playing was that there was no end. The random roles on gear had to be perfect. Years ago you would finally after weeks and weeks of farming post AH close find a Thunderfury only to realize the rolls stunk so off you went again. Now years later with Primal Ancients it is possible to finally have a perfect set, although, uh, good luck with that. No ifs ands or buts about it. If Borderlands peaked your likes because of the gear drops then this monster is for you. Like a class but it’s getting boring, make another. But I don’t want to spend all that time leveling up again. Not a problem. With a leveled up Gem of Ease, you can max another character in minutes I say. MINUTES!

For new people, this will consume you until Immortal drops on mobile which is obviously Blizzard’s way of avoiding a BETA for Diablo 4. Roll out a mobile game with limited abilities based off 3’s characters but introduce new game designs and mechanics and if they bite, keep feeding that new fish. Funny way to go about being secret but it’s a win win. Release a mobile game with paywalls to a degree to make extra money and also gauge a fan base for Diablo 4.

Back to 3. Just getting into this game? There is enough content on board to keep you busy for weeeeeeeeeks. Yes, the vets can steam roll to 70 in a day and gear out in 3 and by weeks end in a season they are farming 80+ Grifts, but that’ll take you forever to do. Every piece of gear has stats you will have to study to see if it’s better than what you have. Some gear has bonus effects while using. Some get grouped together to create Godlike capabilities to unleash carnage like never before seen.

Don’t mind the negative reviews saying it’s not as good as 1 or 2. Those guys are just wanting everyone else to know they’ve been playing the series a really long time and Blizzard owes them. I say, you wouldn’t still want to use AOL to get on the net would you? So why do you back a game that looks like it could be played on a T85 calculator. Just embrace the new. If you’ve never played the others relics then no worries! You won’t know anything different.

Say goodbye to the sunrise, sunset and dinner for a few days. When you see Diablo, tell him I said lol.....

Console version of this game is best thing that happened to it. It's completely different experience - the game is more dynamic, and most of annoying issues were fixed thanks to Reaper of Souls. As i said - it's other game than these few years ago. Oh, and there is a splitscreen too! In 60 fps! On consoles!

Best RPG ever made. Loved this game on PC, XBOX and MACBOOK. Have nothing bad to say about it! Blizzard nailed!
It's very repetitive, but just can't get tired of it.

This game has sucked up hours and hours of my life... but I'm not complaining. The amount of stuff you can do and gear you can collect in this game is ridiculous. Also, having played this game a bit on PC, I was wondering how the controls would work on a console - I'm happy to report the controls actually work better on consoles than on PC. (is this a 1st? lol.)

Really nice game in it's type/style. I was a bit sad because it was short but I really enjoyed this game and I'm still not tired with it after I start it over with another class. :)

The only game that has kept me interest for more than 10-20 hours. If you tried it when it first came out for PC, you should give it another chance. It's hardly the same game. And it's actually even better on console than on PC — better controls anyway, but you don't have the seasons or leaderboards that the PC gets.

The only downside is the online play. Finding a random match of players who are not cheating is nearly impossible. I recommend solo online, or searching the web for legit folks to play with.

The game's actual story and voice acting seem to have jumped off a cliff. Compared to previous titles. But for me it's biggest draw is it's a solid 4 player co-op. So yes if you have 4 controllers. You and 3 of your friends can play in your living room. Or you can play online. And the characters are more than powerful enough to solo. So it's great if your looking for some mindless Diablo fun. The only really disappointing thing with choosing a character is that you can't change their appearance at. When I play an RPG, I want to have control of what my character looks like. The story for this game is actually a little intriguing. Usually for past Blizzard games, I never paid attention to the story because it was week and Blizzard games are more for the gameplay and combat. But I like the story because it's essentially a battle between Heaven and Hell. Another reason I got into the story is because at the beginning of each act is a well done cinematic cut-scene that's very fun and interesting to watch. Now to the gameplay; this is where the game shines. In just one character class, there are many ways to play. You have a bunch of different abilities and attacks to choose from, within each ability and attack you can choose a perk so the possibilities are endless. I love the combat because tons of enemies swarm you at once, and you can basically mow them all down with moves. Another great thing about gameplay is the looting and equipment system. You come across tons of different loot through out the campaign, each item usually has its own unique appearance. Dressing your character with the equipment is simplistic because the game automatically shows you the the comparisons between each piece of equipment. You can also upgrade your equipment to make is better, and you can dye your equipment to have a matching set and make your character look better. When I play this game, I usually play a half an Act or a full Act at a time (there are five Acts). After that, I need to to break for a couple weeks or so from this game because playing a session that long can leave you bored. After taking a break for an extended period of time, I get right back on the game, and it's as good as before. This game is pretty great that will have you playing for a long time. Expand

The sound was ok and the way Blizzard ported the controller scheme was great. But I have no idea how people can play past the story and just grind.

Playing with friends online is an enjoyable experience and I love the option to play multi-player locally! The only fault I have with this game is in the story. It can be a bit cliche' at times with some predictable dialogue. This isn't to say that the story isn't neat, but I wouldn't say it's worthy of a 10. I finished the game without strong connection to many characters throughout the story. The story though doesn't take away from it's incredibly addicting game play and character development. I would recommend this game to anyone. I would definitely get the expansion though as it adds a lot of value to the game. Expand

8.0 max. One of the better titles released 2014. Polished seamless play in 3rd person with a good display. AI in creature design is lacking and this becomes more of a bash and smash affair also with magic. Still has some good map tricks and traps that will make you think before you act. Entertaining as a game that can be played over and over with different character designs.

This game is like a Hollywood version of a party game. it's impossible to comprehend just how addictive it can be without giving it a go. I'll be honest, I get a little bored playing solo but add 1-3 more adventurers and this game takes off. It's an absolute riot punctuated by cries of "I've levelled up!" and "I've found some legendary pants!"
The story is fantastic, the gameplay is brilliant and the game's longevity is boosted by the addition of Adventure Mode.
I don't know how this game compares to its PC counterpart as I've never played it, but I do know it plays fantastically on the XboxOne.
I can't give the game a 9 or a 10 because it's just not up there with my favourite games, but it certainly deserves a solid 8 and has probably been my most played game since I entered the next generation of consoles.

Very good port of the pc version. I played first on PC and actually preferred the console version with the direct movement controls. Adventure mode (on both versions) helps extend the life of the game further. About the only negative point for me is that the menus on the console version are a bit clunkier than on PC.

The original game on PC only kept me going for a few days. When I hit 60, I got bored and never touched it again for 2 years. Then the RoS expansion got release and that's when I started to love this game. For me the game starts at level 70 and will be fun forever. With the addition of Rifts, Bounties and soon Greater Rifts there's loads of variety and the endgame content is endlessly fun. So far my experience with Diablo in general.

When I played this game for about a month full time I can say this game is meant to play on the console. The controls are perfect and I mean perfect for a controller. When you play on pc you have to click where you walk and you stand still. When playing on console you're movement is under your leftstick and you're constantly manoeuvring around. The 2 mouse buttons are RT and RB for me, the skillsbar (1-4) are your ABXY buttons. This works like a charm. The skills menu is a bit getting used to, but they designed it in a way that when you get used to it, you can do it blind. They added a few nice things on consoles like the gift system and Nemesis kills as well.

This game would receive a 10/10 if they banned all players with hacked items and if they created the 'clans and communities' from PC to make it easier to play together. It is a little too dependant on your friendslist now (which is no problem for me, but it still would be a great addition to make it even easier on us to find equally experienced players). Love this game on the console!

The structure of the new adventure mode, overly easy leveling and accessibility of overpowered weapons have removed some of the sense of wonder and exploration from the game, but the Ultimate Evil edition is undoubtedly an improvement on Diablo III and earns a well deserved bump in score.
