Stealth does not exist, it is only icing to make the player feel as if it's happening. Guards will spot you through walls, around corners. When one guard spots you, 100 guards come running to the scene. I have personally watched guards materialize into thin air, Star Trek style, to rush my character. That's complete ****

The parkour is the most improved of the entire series to this date. I bought this game late after all the early complaints had been addressed, so my rating is based on the "fixed" version of Unity. The missions are absolutely stupid. I rated only one of the pointless side quests 5 stars; all the rest, including all of the main missions, got a 1 or 2. Mainly, because stealth does not work. For instance, a mission to assassinate someone inside a building crawling with guards. So I'm on a window ledge waiting to kill a guard inside. He walks up, spots me, 100 more guards show up, shooting at me through the wall (apparently the window is 10 feet wide). I crawl a few feet away, be still for a few minutes, and all goes back to normal. Translation: Suspense of disbelief blown. Here I am, an assassin, infiltrating a royal house, clearly up to no good, and the guards just give up after 2 minutes and walk away. I realize the game can't accommodate them actually searching the grounds, but give me a #*@*%^&# break.

There's no way to attract a guard to come toward your hiding spot. He might just wander by but usually does not. So what can you do? You have to basically complete the missions exactly as the designer intended because there's no way to misdirect a guard to sneak by or kill him silently. It's all just bollocked up and not fun.

While completing sequence 9, I became so agitated my blood pressure went up, and I just began screaming at the game. Not because I screwed up. This late in the game, I know what the #*@# I'm doing. Because the game does something unbelievably stupid that causes me to restart at the last checkpoint. In other words, I didn't do it EXACTLY the one way it must be done. So much for open world. That's **** There is no open world here, it's a big city scape full of useless treasure chests if you want to waste 50 hours opening up fkg chests. Which gets old after about 1 hour.

This is yet another example of an Ubisoft game that had so much extraordinary potential--like Splinter Cell Blacklist--but the stealth is completely broken so it's just NOT FUN. Although I quit Blacklist after the first few missions out of utter frustration, I stuck with it in Unity because the story was interesting. The gameplay is the usual horrible Ubisoft **** but the story is enjoyable so I suffered through stupid **** missions created by incompetent designers and playtested by fans rather than real QA people. A real QA team could not have tested this game.

I will absolutely never touch this game again after having finished it. Never again! Black Flag, though, was enormously fun and replayable. The Ezio series was fun, though it too had enormously frustrating problems with parkour. So there's the rub: Unity fixed most of the serious flaws in parkour, but STILL manages to anger the player into near controller-smashing rage.

I don't have anger issues. This game brings out rage in me in the same way that a bad driver on the freeway does. It's a justified rage because my best effort has no impact on the situation. So, yeah, that's the best analogy I can think of: Playing a typical AC game is like commuting to work with idiots on the road. At least in AC my life isn't in danger every day, but the emotions are the same.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is unfinished, simple as that, which is unfortunate, because the game play is fantastic. Now, before reading keep in mind that this is my first Assassin's Creed game, so all experiences are new, and I must say, the world is amazing, the writing entertaining, the animations brilliant, and the parkour and fighting is great, but the game is plagued with problems.

First and foremost being the FPS, I was lead to believe that Ubisoft had fixed the problems with the game's performance, yet when I was playing, it was running at what I'd guess to be about an average of 25 FPS, sometimes, rarely, going above to about 30, and sometimes dropping as low as 15, this is very annoying, especially because I spent $600 on a gaming console to avoid these issues.

This FPS is also annoying because the game's graphics aren't amazing, they aren't bad, not at all, it's just not as amazing as I'd heard. I've also been playing GTA V on the XBone, and it looks just as good, if not better, then Assassin's Creed Unity, and has a stable frame rate, and a bigger map.

There is also pop-in problems, sometimes as I walk down the street random characters will suddenly change completely, as far as I walking down the street and a dog tuned into a fat guy, that was odd.

That game's voice acting is also very off, it's not that it's bad, it's actually quite good, it just takes away from the immersion of the game immensely, I'm very happily believing that I'm in the French Revolution, when suddenly someone will speak in a very thick English accent and throw me off, it's an odd choice, having a game set in France not have a single French voice actor.

The story is also quite cliche, is the first 5 minutes it shows the main character, Arno, as a child with his father, I immediately said, "his dad's going to die," then, about a minute later, his dad dies, and it wasn't surprising in the least.

And the random NPC's walking around don't seem to be connected with reality, with them constantly glitching, going through walls, and occasionally flying about.

But it's not to say that the game is awful, the writing is humerus, Arno being a very comedic person, and never failing to make me giggle, and because of his light hearted-ness, when something happens and he get emotional about it, it has a larger impact then it would other wise.

The animations (on Arno, at least) are fantastic, some of the best I've even seen in a game, flowing perfectly with the game.

And the game play is great, but that might be an Assassin's Creed overall achievement more then this game's.

But despite this, the game is still not worth purchasing, and I'm going to be returning it back to JB Hi-Fi and buying Black Flag instead.

The story however is entertaining, in parts very predictable but still solid story. I will say this though. Its not a spoiler but in order to fully understand the Unity story line i would highly recommend playing assassins creed rouge. Its unfortunate that Ubisoft did the story in this style by separating console generations and leaving a big part of unity's story behind in old gen, this annoyed me as i find going back to 360 very difficult to enjoy as much as i do my Xbox One. Yes Unity did have some very big problems with frame rates and glitches but actually the attention to detail in the buildings is fantastic. Unfortunately there were to many problems on releases and the length of time it took to fix them made Assassins Creed Unity very difficult to play and made customers very unhappy. I still play Unity to finish up my achievements and it seems most bugs and frame rate problems have been fixed so im glad people new to this game will not have any problem and can enjoy a decent Assassins Creed title.

So I know what im saying when I say that this game in my opinion is probably the worst installment in the series to date. Instead of the assassins evolving and getting better with the times it seems that in this installment your assassin has somehow taken a step backwards it actually feels like your a recruit again. Ubisoft has stripped you of two of your most important combat abilities which is the counter block and the ability to garb another enemy as a human shield to block enemy bullets. The lack of these two vital abilities coupled with the processing power of the xbox one and the playstation 4 which allowed the developers to fit more enemies on screen at one time then ever before is a bad combination. There were times when there were so many enemies on screen that I got killed before I could even get my bearings. The enemies favorite tactic seems to be having half the group come after you with swords while the other half beats you to death with gunshots because there is nothing you can do about it. Because of this design choice you are forced to roll around on the ground like an idiot when you see that someone is trying to shoot at you and while youre making a public spectacle of yourself youre getting torn up by blades. So you can counter a sword strike and take a bunch of bullets in the back or you can roll around and possibly dodge a few bullets but get cut up with swords. Pick your poison. Another odd design choice is in this game is you have to buy different abilities instead of learning them over time. Which I guess will work for some people I mean it kind of gives you a chance to customize your assassins abilities. They have also completely eliminated naval battles which was a major staple in the last few installments. Now I know that this is during the French revolution but I know for a fact that the French had a navy. That brings up another point. Why are you limited to the city of Paris? But the odd design choices are just the tip of the iceberg. Lets talk about the selling point of unity. The multiplayer. Not much can be said nothing good about it anyway. Simply it doesn't work the servers are hit and miss and playing with random people online is a hassle because non one wants to communicate everyone just wants to be Rambo and kill everyone instead of being stealthy and working together. The last thing I want to talk about is of course the terrible game ending glitches. Unity will just randomly stop working. Ive fallen through the world and been stuck running in place on a flat roof top and on more than one occasion ive been unable to climb up the sides of building even though there is clearly a ledge within reach he wont grab it. So overall it was disappointing. Strange design choices and glitches hold this game back and I hope ubisoft dosent repeat this mistake. Expand

Guards can spot you incredibly easily, and 90 percent them have guns, which they are not afraid to fire at you, chew through your health and knock you off of a building, forcing you to climb up it again before being shot again and repeating the process ad nauseam. I also hate the lack of checkpoints in assassination missions. I bought into the Ubisoft hype-train much like everyone else with Unity, and was incredibly disappointed. I'm a huge fan of Assassin's Creed, and yet this game lacked what has made the series stand out for me.

Story- The story, which is normally the best part of the games, was dull, and very unoriginal. The story revolved around Arno being in love with Elise, and nothing more. The main character's purpose was completely overshadowed by the other characters who actually had goals outside of personal relationships. But, the modern day story line was even worse than Arno's. In every game in the series, people have complained that the modern day aspect was a distraction, but I always found that it connected the games in a very interesting way. Unfortunately in Unity, the modern day story was exactly what people have been complaining about for years. You are visited in your Helix by two assassins who tell you to find a sage, and when you find the sage, you are told that it doesn't matter because the body would be too hard to find. Also, the Helix will break at three points in the story, sending you across time into different eras of Paris. Although, the idea was interesting, the gameplay really didn't add anything, and just seemed like tests for future games.

Visuals- Arguably the best part of the game, a very impressive Paris was cool to walk around in.

Animations- Animations such as the fighting ones were very good, although a bit unrealistic. Free-running animations were way too flashy for a "stealth game." The crowd animations were so poor that I was very aware I was playing a video game any time I was at ground level. You can bull rush through a crowd only slowing down a little bit because any large crowd will part like the Red Sea in an incredibly awkward animation where an NPC will just slide a foot to the side.

Gameplay- Most of the gameplay was a very solid foundation for future games running on this engine. Technical glitches did take away from this, but the gameplay was good. The new fighting system was an improvement over previous titles, making it a bit more challenging by not allowing instant kills. The health bars above enemies also allowed you to see how effective that your weapon is, and the differences between the tiers of weapons. But, taking away the human shield feature while significantly increasing gun damage was a huge mistake. When a rifleman takes aim at you, it can be game over really easily. Free-running took one step forward and two steps back. The new free-run down mechanic was excellent, and very useful. Unfortunately, horizontal movement didn't feel as smooth, and upward movement was slower than it was in Black Flag and 3. The controls for the free running were unresponsive at times which could be incredibly frustrating. No matter how much you play the game, Arno never really feels like he is fully under your control. The stealth did make improvements with the introduction of the crouch and cover systems, but outside of mission areas that were clearly designed for stealth, the stealth gameplay felt no different than any other game. Taking out the whistle feature was also a mistake, as the cherry bombs that were supposed to be a replacement for it did not work.

Customization- The weapons and gear customization worked very well, and made a needed addition to the series. Skill customization was a good idea, but some skill trees were much more involved than others. Namely the melee tree which really only had two options, 1 overall fighting skill, and 1 skill for the weapon class of your choice. Some skills also made no sense as unlockables such as: sitting on a bench or shooting a gun or tuck and roll.

Multiplayer- Co-op missions and heists were good, but really weren't replayable. The free-roam was boring like it was in Watch Dogs. They needed to look at GTA V to see how to make multiplayer free-roam its' own experience by adding several gameplay elements to it. Not just singleplayer free roam with 3 people tagging along side you. And, getting rid of the competitive multiplayer was a dumb decision considering it had much more replay value than the multiplayer that was in the game.

Overall, if you are a fan of assassin's creed you won't like this game very much, and if not, this is not the game to try and get into the series with. The technical problems that marred the launch of the game have been dealt with by the time of writing this, and it probably won't get any better. It still doesn't work perfectly, but it is playable. If you are thinking of picking this game up, wait until it is around $20. You'll have some fun on one play through, but not much else.

People praise black flag for the open world, but it was like The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. The worlds were hubs strung together by a random encounter sandbox. It was more of a pirate game instead of an assassin's creed game. Unity is a return to formula, and the combat is challenging again. There's character optimization and the side quests mean something again. Murder mysteries and riddles, plus and world that expands through the side quests. The glitches now are typical of assassins creed, but not game breaking. I enjoy how the game has a difficulty curve now, but it doesn't require ridiculous grinding to pass it. This game is a hidden gem that had an awful launch. Should Ubisoft follow this path again with its launch? No. However, they are compensating the afflicted nicely and fairly. The only reason I actually don't give the game a full score from the time I played (started a week ago) is because of the companion app. It isn't necessary, but its annoying there are bonuses that you can't really get because the app takes more effort than you want to give it. The game is fixed, and it is fun. It is one of those good games you buy later because the awful bugs will be patched, like the Elder Scrolls series. However, once again, I'd like to repeat myself that Assassin's Creed is not Elder Scrolls and should not repeatedly fail its launches. Expand

Assassin's Creed: Unity was another game in 2014 that was way over hyped. But for once I actually understood why, I mean Black Flag did well and that game got so many positive ratings from people and like every year Ubisoft has to rush out another game to keep the love coming , and Unity blows my mind, not be the game graphs or the story and characters, actually it blows my mind how unfinished this game really is.

The main character of the game "Arno", is basically like Conner from Creed 3. I think those two have a lot in common, I mean they both boring, shallow, uninteresting and flat out douche bags. I didn't really give a fuss about his revenge story that's been done before and it's already getting tried by now. Arno's character ark was like watching a old dead tree trying to act for the sake of it.

Now let's talk about the graphs in the game and I got to say the graphs in the background looked really pretty and I can see a lot of time and effort went into that, but I think the time and effort only went to the graphs and nothing else, because character effect's keep getting all buggy and it's the same with everything else around me. People falling through the ground, buildings acting up on me and people teleporting to different places out of nowhere. It's a mess and some of the graphs looked extremely unfinished.

The action is okay, nothing really special just the basic action from the past Creed series.

Overall Unity is a buggy, laughably unfinished mess. It's a real same, this game could have been pretty fantastic revenge story, but the game problems do hold it back and the cracks do show in this one.

After playing the hell out of Assassin's Creed Black Flag I was definitely excited for Unity. What I got was absolute garbage. The sword fighting is slow and unexciting and the story is boring. The graphics are the only good thing in this game. I quickly traded this game in after I bought it.

The plot is weak, no emotional connection with characters. Arno is the worthier assassin than even Cormack. At least Cormack has a goal and knows how to achieve it. The second one is a try to add more variety or if you wish "hitmanity'' to killings. I wish more stealth elements and unusual ways to kill primery target will become in future AC. Such as several ways to kill your target in Hitman 2. But it wont. In Syndicate we will see gang wars such as GTA San Andreas I believe. The franchise is dying. We don`t want to run on the roofs any more even if it is a roof of beautiful Paris or Rome ancient buildings. We want revolution in gameplay, different ways to kill your target (direct kill, poisoning, firering, drawning, accident etc), less poison darts (this thing is just ruining the entire fightin part of the game), and (well, that would be fantastic), we want hard and different choices througthout the game, which could make affect on the ending or plot progression. This should be the last AC for 3-4 years. People badly need a break from it, and they need to spend at least a year or two longer on that one than this one.

The story is bland and forgettable, the characters are uninteresting, and the game just looks visually boring, with grey, black, and brown making up most of the game. But those aren't the biggest complaints I have. Those would be the combat and the stealth, the two most important parts. The combat just feels sluggish and unresponsive; oftentimes the parry feature doesn't work despite the player mashing the parry button as soon as the opponent's health bar lights up. The cover system also ruins the great stealth system found in Black Flag. And last, but certainly not least: MICROTRANSACTIONS? IN MY FULL-PRICE GAME? What a joke. Black Flag gave false hope. Don't buy this game. Actually, don't even rent it, unless you just want achievements. A major disappointment, for sure. Expand

On the heels of finishing AC4: Black Flag and being utterly enthralled by and addicted to it, I eagerly started AC Unity with high expectations. But after playing Unity, those expectations were dashed, and I was left feeling disappointed and ripped off.

On the heels of finishing AC4: Black Flag and being utterly enthralled by and addicted to it, I eagerly started AC Unity with high expectations. But after playing Unity, those expectations were dashed, and I was left feeling disappointed and ripped off.

It's not all bad, though. The biggest praise I can give the game is the superb graphics used to create an incredibly expansive world with endless nooks and crannies to explore. The number of citizens in the world is quite mind-blowing, but it seems that Ubisoft went overboard with it just because they could. Just because you CAN easily create thousands of citizens in the virtual world doesn't mean you should. Trying to simply run from one end of the street to the other becomes cumbersome as you try to dodge citizens (and usually jump on every obstacle and building in your path in the process), or when that fails, being slowed down as you try to shove your way through the crowds. So, a cool concept, but one that should have remained in concept and not actually implemented.

Some of the player controls have been improved. The "controlled descent," which allows you to quickly and easily descend from an elevated location, makes getting back down to ground level MUCH easier, and Ubisoft deserves credit for that. Climbing in general seems much more accessible and controlled, and I found that the quick lift contraptions that vault you to an elevated location when sprinting onto them are much easier to activate.

Bt honestly, those are about the only good things I can say about it so far. The map view is okay, although it's maddening to have to zoom in to your location EVERY TIME the map is displayed. A zoomed in view would definitely be a better default. Weapons and gear upgrades are, again, overly complicated just for the sake of being complicated. There are three different types of currency: francs (regular money), sync points, and creed points. Most upgrades can be purchased with francs, but the best ones (particularly new assassin skills) must be purchased with sync points, which are granted after completing missions. Creed points, which are earned by performing certain assassin maneuvers like special execution strikes, etc., seem completely useless. I haven't found a good use for them yet. I yearn for the simple and predictable single-currency system of previous AC games.

Stealth mode is okay, but it's much more difficult and less fun to use than simply hiding and luring guards to your hiding spot for a stealth kill (by whistling, for example). Side quests and the main storyline are classic AC, and there's just not too much more to say about them beyond that. Eagle vision was made less user friendly, as there is a finite vision range and a short cool down period before it can be activated again. Targets marked with eagle vision also seem to become unmarked once the cool down expires.

But for all the complaints I have about gameplay (and I have many more than I have described here), my number one biggest complaint is that after the first few main storyline missions and several side missions, both my screen and the sound flicker or stutter. This means the frame rate takes a nosedive, and the sound stutters the point of missing important audible information. I've rebooted the system and reloaded the game many times, to no avail. I've searched the internet for a solution and have found none, and it's absolutely maddening. It is to the point that if it doesn't somehow resolve on its own before long, I will lose all interest in playing. I can excuse what I consider to be poor gameplay design because that is so often just a matter of personal preference, but performance issues are inexcusable and unforgivable.

I still have high hopes for Syndicate, but Unity seems to be Ubisoft's attempt at showcasing technical capabilities at the expense of the simple yet captivating game playing experience that was prevalent in previous titles (especially AC4: Black Flag). Hopefully with Syndicate and future titles they will understand that a pretty, technically impressive game doesn't necessarily mean that it's fun to play.

Now for the bad part. The glitches and the bugs in this game are atrocious. At one point I got stuck on a wall of the church and couldn't move either up or down. I had to restart the game just to continue. After it happened again I turned the game off and let it sit for awhile hoping thee publisher would create an update for the report of the bugs occurring.

Wait a few more months and updates occurring for the game I gave it another shot. This time I got stuck trying to climb over a wall. In fact I kept climbing up the wall and stuck in mid air. Not holding onto anything. Another restart and again more bugs and glitches. This turned me off of the franchise and wish I never played this game. Honestly, this game is no Black Flag. The sailing and sea battle elements of that game are not here, and attempts to streamline the free running aspects actually made it a bit more clunky than Black Flag, though they were still as good as or better than nearly every other open world game I have ever played.
I also missed the Assassination Side Missions that have been in every other iteration of this game except the first one. Seriously, whoever spearheaded the idea of getting rid of assassination missions in a game where you play an assassin should be fired. To replace those, however, are tons of other side missions and repeatable missions that can be played single or multi player, so there is never a lack of things to do.

The best part of this game is Paris itself. The world is really, really big, and exploring it is a blast. The thing that I never see this game get credit for is that so many of the buildings in this game can be entered and explored. Previously the best you could hope for was a short cut here and there that would automatically take you through a building. In this game you can enter windows, run up the stairs, and basically go in and out of most of the buildings. This makes the city feel more like a city and less like a series of obstacles to go over and around. It always bugged me that it was perfectly OK to kill guards in the street, but going through a window was a no no.

The other great advancement was that they got rid of the convoluted backstory. No more Desmond or anyone resembling him. Given, there is not nearly as much tying the present to the past as in the previous games, but it had all become too much.

Lastly, the companion app and its interaction with the console game is nothing to write home about, but it is also completely unnecessary. Sure, if you want to get 100% completion you have to use it, but other than that you are not missing out on anything except for a few weapons and outfit items that are functionally obsolete (they are really just useless collectibles) almost from the beginning. Is it great? No. Does it detract from the game? Also no.

This game has a really undeserved bad reputation. As nitpicky as you want to get, this is a fun game with tons to explore, and that is exactly what I am looking for in this series.

I am a big fan of the AC series and have always enjoyed the games and so I was always going to get this game regardless of the negative comments and mediocre reviews. That being said I did go into the game expecting the worst as the technical issues and bugs in the game had been well documented.

I can't comment on what the game was like when released initially, what I can say is that my experience was, for the most part, smooth and bug free. There was a little clipping here and there, but no more than I expect from any game, and I didn't experience anything like the issues people had been reporting upon release. Whether the game has been patched over the past year or I was just lucky I really couldn't say, but I found the game stunning and technically brilliant. The visuals are outstanding and, once again, the game ran perfectly with no technical issues at all.

The game plays like all previous AC games and though the formula has been tweaked slightly with improvements to the combat and stealth mechanic, there is no mistaking this is an AC game. The setting is incredible and suits the gameplay of AC perfectly, with a huge map to explore and countless collectibles, side missions and extras. The biggest change to the game is the addition of the 'optional' co-op missions you can take part in, I have not really explored this side of the game as I personally only take interest in the single player aspect of games like this. (It is worth noting that you can, and I did, complete co-op missions alone if you prefer).

The storyline in Unity is, in my opinion, the strongest since the Ezio trilogy and the main character is also the best lead since Ezio too.

Basically if you are a fan of the AC series then I strongly recommend this game, whilst I enjoyed Black Flag and Rogue, they never felt like true AC games, Unity does.

Characters: Arno is a likable fellow, no Ezio, but.. he has his moments, the second lead Elise she feels like more than Arno's love interest, the other characters are memorable(some more than others), but that is for every one to decide for themselves(more of an opinion thing).
The story/plot: does not revolve around the revolution as much as i hoped, but it rather follows Arno on his personal mission of redemption, it steers clear of the revolution far too often with missions that have no relevance to it or put Arno in the middle of it, making this historical moment take a back seat whereas it should be driving the AcU story wagon. It has good start, middle but a pretty empty ending, although not completely it pulled on my heartstrings rather well.
The City: OH MY GOD!! If there is one thing the cannot screw up its this, its off the chart beautiful, i usually walk to my missions just to take in the incredible scope, size and DETAIL of this digital Paris, if the main story line keeps away from the revolution the City will drown you in it, especially the co op and heist missions(IF THEY WORK) that are nothing but, about the revolution. tons of stuff to do and all optional if you don't want to you don't need to, simple.
Combat, Navigation: With a City as beautiful as AcU's Paris one must navigate it like an Assassin to fully enjoy it, and most of the time you will. The controls are still slow to take affect which decreases the overall enjoyment of the game, the combat is still slow and painfully awkward and clumsy, especially in more densely populated areas, the controlled descent is a godsend and works beautifully if appropriately used(helps to plan you're routes, and the new control schematics take some getting used to).
General stuff: Microtransactions are there, never used them no need, i don't mind their existence as long as they stay useless :), the French Assassins for some reason diched the duble hidden blades for some reason, also no previous gadgets like the hidden gun or the hookblade( just the ''phantom blade'' which is an opportunity lost, if you ask me especially with the different ''skill trees'' which could unlock one off each in their respective tree offering even more variety to our assassins), no ships in this one, makes sense but its sad to see it go nonetheless. The finished version of this Assassins Creed offers a well made story an even better made City and soo soo game paly mechanic. It should've stayed in development a tad longer and some directions should have been different and it would have been my top AC game but alas no, we will still have Brotherhood UBI.

The graphics and lighting are very well done and the amount of detail which has gone into the creating of the map is incredible. As an architecture student, I really appreciate the details which has gone into each landmark and building within the city.

The story is compelling, although there are similarities to Assassin's Creed 2 in the narrative. Character customisation is a nice addition to the game. I would however prefer it if some of the better looking items weren't only available through the online co-op as it is difficult to find a game. Also the incorporation of the companion app and initiates leaves a lot to be desired and can be quite frustrating. The new combat system can take some getting used to but I feel it can be much more rewarding once mastered.

On a final note, I have played all of the games in the series and am a huge Assassin's Creed fan. I feel this is a huge improvement over the games set in the Americas as it goes back to the large urban routes of the series, where the game feels much more at home. I do not feel this game deserves all the negative reviews.

Hope this was helpful, please give the game a chance!

You can custom your outfit there are some good things but most of them looks terrible. Skills are bad I don't like it and lockpicking could be better. I really enjoyed Nostradamus enigmas and Murder mysteries these missions are great maybe because you don't need to actually control him so much. And also good are companion missions because these are often 10 sec missions. Other missions aren't good. Just some Co-op missions are good rest is bad and sometimes bugy, One thing I really dislike is when someone who is AFK join you so you can't finish it and even kick him out. Collecting is terrible because you can't buy maps so you have to find everything by yourself and that is impossible. Overall it is good looking game with some good things but everything other is terrible. What really annoyed me is that controls. In 80% of time he is just trying to annoy you like while running he firstly have to jump on every chair, there is stupid climbing he goes everywhere except where you actually want to go, then he stucks in tree and similar things, terrible combat everyone attack at the same time and they are also shooting at you so you can't attack and you just slowly dying. The game is essentially A.C. so I don't know why so much hate about Unity , I've been playing it for about 2 hours on a XboxOneFat and while I've experienced some frame drops , the game is totally far from unplayable , the narrative pace is great and it looks and plays fine.

To be honest, I don't know why the fan have so much hate to this game I mean, maybe it's because I play this game years after his release and I heard that at the release the game was full of bug but for me I enjoy playing this game. For sure not the best assassin creed , but maybe not as bad as the game rating.

The customization options are also very interesting, plus the rift missions that where, in my opinion, the best missions of the game. Arno and Elise are good characters, but not the Best in the series.
    - Negative Aspects: The controls of the game don't respond very well, which could be very annoying. The story is very fast paced, and the missions are too repetitive. The optional objectives are a pain in the ass, plus the fact that the game has a lot bug's. The map is also very confusing, there are too many icons in it. Ac unity is a good game, but nothing more that that, it tried to return the series to it's rots, but what they achieved was a mixed game.

Action paired with history and stealth. As a huge Assassin`s Creed fan, I was a bit disappointed with the development of this series. Sure you have some cool characters, a decent fighting system and a wonderful animated Paris during the french revolution. But you can feel the lack of inspiration while playing for some hours. Entertaining, exciting but not the revolution I wanted.

What keeps this score from going any lower is a convincing open-world, excellent graphics (for its time, but it still looks good today), and the outfits.

Other than the stupid story, what really kills this game is the co-op missions and the costumes and weapons that are required to purchase with one of two currencies to make your gameplay easier. The weapons were not different enough, and they felt unfair to use depending on the level of what character you engaged in combat with. This was too different from Rogue, and I don't like it.

Did I get my money's worth? I think so, because I bought it off G2A for less than $2.

Expand

Međutim priča i misije su dosta bazične i dosadne, često se ponavljaju. Igra je takođe puna raznih mikrotransakcija, koje srećom ne utiču na main story.

All of them received a polarizing reception, but out of these games, Watch Dogs has been my favorite, and Assassin's Creed Unity disappointed me. It had a weak cast, slow and confusing combat system, and a horrendous story. But I have to appreciate for its soundtrack, Paris setting, and the parkour system, which is the best. I'm not the biggest fan of Arno, but he had an interesting backstory, which can possibly lead to a sequel of him against his father's murderer, Shay Patrick Cormac, with the help of Aveline De Grandpre and Connor Kenway. The combat system looked realistic and stylish, but there is no button to dodge bullets or bombs, and Syndicate has significantly improved it. The parkour system had loads of cool moves. Overall, Assassin's Creed Unity has deeply disappointed me, and I'm going to rate it a 6.1/10.
