As of this writing, Ubisoft has created a live blog that promises to address all of the technical issues that is plaguing their high profile game. Considering their misplaced priorities, however, they hardly deserve a pass for releasing Assassin’s Creed Unity in the miserable shape that it’s in, which damages both this decent entry in the series as well as the very AC brand itself.

Assassin's Creed: Unity is at once an object of exquisite beauty and exhausting boredom.

First off, it runs very poorly, if there is ever any more then 10 people on screen, your frames will drop. Second, the character never does what I tell him too, I spent a good 5 minutes running at a chest-high wall to progress through the game. Third, it is filled with micro-transactions that are horribly priced, you buy special currency to unlock weapons/clothes faster, but it costs around $10 in the currency to buy one sword. And finally, the game just crashes on me, if I spend too long on the pause screen, then run around for a few seconds, it crashes. Never before have I hated a game so much within the first 2 hours. It is not that the game is inherently bad, but that Ubisoft made a good game bad in the worst way possible, by pushing micro-transactions and their **** companion app. I feel robbed and cheated, having my Assassin experience in France trifled by chests that "only open from the Fück You© companion app," which is loaded with micro-transaction BS itself, and takes up half a gigabyte in storage. The in-game accessories to upgrade Arno the most either require a ridiculous amount of in-game currency, or can be "hacked" for a fee. What bull ****.
While most of the game plays fairly well, there is constant frame tearing and the new combat and parkour systems just feel sloppy and unpolished. I understand that a blockbuster of a game needs to turn a profit, but for Ubisoft to bend over and **** its fans for every nickle and dime is most certainly not the way it should be done. Rant over. Don't buy this, get Halo Master Chief collection, like I wish I had.

Got the XBOX 1 bundle w/Unity and the game is unbelievable and not in a good way. Screen-tearing is rampant; actually, almost constantly since Arno's introduction in the game. Imprecise controls with lots of wiggle-room. Obviously, I have not completed the game and, normally, I would have completed any game prior to any written op-ed pieces but this, this. . . .

Glad it was free with the console is the "nicest thing" I can write at this point---- smh :(
