    Those who have a reliable gaming comrade on hand will find Schizoid to be a very rewarding cooperative romp, even in the face of some derivative level design. Just don't expect to feel the magic if you're the only one playing.

    Schizoid is a nice game that excels in the cooperative mode. Unfortunately the game feels a bit unpolished in places. The A.I. has its problems and the audio-video combo sometimes fails to deliver. Nonetheless, this game is a nice addition to your arcade games collection.

A few of the enemies take a little getting used to, but the ability to go into single level mode and 'gold' a level means you can skip it when trying to clear the checkpoint. Cool. Nice achievement design, lots of accessible ones as opposed to many XLA games and their impossible achievements. Destined to be a classic like robotron or geo wars.… Expand

    A very rewarding co-op game experience. Easy for anyone to pickup and play, but very difficult to master. It's not as frustratinglyA very rewarding co-op game experience. Easy for anyone to pickup and play, but very difficult to master. It's not as frustratingly unforgiving as other games like Geometry Wars. Lots of medals to earn and stages to explore, and many great little touches (like skipping golded levels, earning more lives every 10 levels, etc). A beefed-up version on DVD with a more intuitive and deep interface, better wingman AI, and customizable ships would have made for a perfect game in my book. A 4-player co-op mode would have been nice, but would have required a set of custom stages. With that said, it's worth the price of admission and has me looking forward to a sequel.… Expand
