This game is extremely intriguing. It actively involves both teammates and requires equal participation from both. The simple controls make it fun for hardcore and casual gamers alike.

This game blows balls. Nice to look at but painful to play.

Amazingly innovative game - super simple premise but clever level design. Must-play with a friend in the same room or if you're hard-core in uberschizoid mode. A few of the enemies take a little getting used to, but the ability to go into single level mode and 'gold' a level means you can skip it when trying to clear the checkpoint. Cool. Nice achievement design, lots of accessible ones as opposed to many XLA games and their impossible achievements. Destined to be a classic like robotron or geo wars. Expand

A fun and creative twist on the "dual-joystick-shooter". Tons of fun with lots of intense action when playing with a friend. Also, the Uberschizoid is mind-breaking and awesome. Totally worth the 800msp.

A very rewarding co-op game experience. Easy for anyone to pickup and play, but very difficult to master. It's not as frustratingly unforgiving as other games like Geometry Wars. A beefed-up version on DVD with a more intuitive and deep interface, better wingman AI, and customizable ships would have made for a perfect game in my book. A 4-player co-op mode would have been nice, but would have required a set of custom stages. With that said, it's worth the price of admission and has me looking forward to a sequel. Expand

Very fun to play with a friend. Too bad there's nobody on XBL, though.

An unfairly overlooked ‘action puzzle game’ that is both fun and challenging particularly when played with a co-op partner either locally or via Live.

  1. Schizoid proudly bills itself as "the most co-op game ever," and it ain't lying. [May 2008, p.74]

Innovative co-op...shame about the rest. [Sept 2008, p.92]

A clever, captivating and fun Arcade game with great production values and some innovative ideas. The co-op mode is lengthy and challenging, but wears on after a bit, while the mind-bending Uberschizoid mode is cruelly clever with a sharp learning curve that may be a turn-off for some.
