A lot of good ideas -- horribly executed. For all the cool things about it, the stupid plot and the unfun battles make it a pointless play. I'll give it maybe one or two more chances, then to ebay with it.

I had very high hopes for this game given all the hype plus this being a S-E & Tri-Ace project. However, I can't give this game more than a mediocre rating because that's exactly what it was, a very mediocre RPG. The game feels unpolished and probably could've used a few more months in development for refinement. The story is lackluster and poorly execute, with the main quest being way too short and the cast of characters way too large for a 20-hour game. The visuals are nice but not really up to the usual S-E standards. All in all the game was a disappointment given the lofty reputations that both the developer and publisher have. Expand

Graphics and combat and open world are awesome but story is boring.

This RPG reminds me a lot of Tales of Vesperia; which isn't a bad thing at all. My biggest gripe with this game is how childish it is. Now, I don't mind child silliness, I mean, I love Blue Dragon after all, but it goes too far for my taste. Especially when it's trying to have somewhat serious elements. Especially when it's trying to have somewhat serious elements. The game is good, and it provides many hours of gameplay, but I know too many people who stopped playing this game because it was really childish. The flaw doesn't come from the game itself, but the voice actors who make it sound so childish. If they would've done better with the voice actors, this game would've been ten times better, but I can't hate it solely because I thought it was childish. If you can look past its silliness and enjoy the game for what it is, then it's worth your time. Expand

This isn't a game marred with horrendous bugs or unplayable combat. And it's not boring. It's just misguided.

Despite the badly botched opening segments and frustrating menu and navigational issues, it really won me over with its rewarding combat, kooky charm, and goofy humor.

Then there's the slowdown: yes, in this age of high-powered processors and graphics hardware, Infinite Undiscovery suffers from slowdown. The game itself is gorgeous, with detailed character models to neat-o combat animations, but the action tends to slow to a crawl when too many enemies clutter the screen.
