Hexic 2’s addition of other pieces will make it a bit more playable, though Black Pearls are still going to be a challenge if you don’t already know how to get them. As well, the inclusion of Battle Mode adds a great platform for competitive gamers.
-
After playing Hexic 2, it’s really hard to go back and play Hexic HD. Hexic 2 is worth checking out especially if you have friends that are also competitive puzzle fanatics.

800 feels like a lot to pay for the sequel to a game that was free with your system, but hey, you can't complain that you aren't getting a lot of content for the cost. Just as long as you already loved the original game.
-
If you liked the original, and poured endless hours into it, then you should definitely get this one: there are just about enough tweaks and changes to make it feel different enough to justify a purchase - especially the chance to play a mate online.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKIt's certainly not seven quid more entertaining than what came before. [Issue#25, p.119]
