    Anyone who ever gave this game anything less than a 7 is lying to themselves. It may not be a 10 but you know its pretty damn good. The multiplayer alone should warrant an automatic 9 and when you pile on the deep (and yes, at times convoluted) story it has to be at least a 9.5. If you own an XBOX 360 and have somehow not experienced the excellence that is the Halo series, do yourself aAnyone who ever gave this game anything less than a 7 is lying to themselves.     As some of you may give this a 0, how can you guive it that. The balance is soo well done online, for wxample the player skill balance. Also each game everyone has the same weapon. You can get shot a few times and still have a chance. Isn't that great? I'm not a big fan of the older campaigns( Halo and Halo 2) I loved this one.     Halo 3 is a true successor to both of its predecessors, being everything that fans hoped it would be. The campaign is painfully short and the story is only really concerned with tying up loose ends, but these are only minor gripes considering how well designed the campaign is. Unfortunately, my xbox broke and i no longer have my XBL password, so goodbye all my goodness...

    The campaign was great, both in storyline and in ways to get out of each map... Multiplayer    Honestly one of the most memorable games I've ever played. Martin O'Donnell's soundtrack is as brilliant, exciting and suiting as ever (surely there is no other composer in the gaming industry who can match O'Donnell's brilliance), the game is highly polished, visually, audibly and physically, and it left me feeling very satisfied. For those who say that Halo 3 was over-hyped, in my opinion that is why it is such an important game. 2007 was a fantastic year for games, with titles such as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 being released, but above all of these, Halo 3 was the first game to become a really competitive art form. The fact that it made more money in 48 hours than any film or music album is a really impressive feat, and in my opinion it was the first game to really prove that gaming was more than just the preserve of overweight, nerdy teenagers in their bedrooms. This is not the best game ever made by any means, but it is certainly up there, and will be for many years to come.… Expand

    THE BEST Halo game i have played so far. Campaign AWESOME. Multiplayer AMAZING. Forge INCREDIBLE. Theater BRILLIANT. Easy 10 in my mind and a lot of others. HALO FTW!

    Halo 3 is the only game in the series that I have owned, and i'm glad I got it at the midnight release. The shooter gameplay is perfect, the feel alone in this game is the best.

    I loved this game and I miss the good old days back when everyone used to play it. I miss messing around in the campaign, spending hours in forge and custom games trying to come out with the next fun formula for messing around with friends. It was a good time that I have no regrets about and honestly wish I could go back to.

    is the epic conclusion for a epic story definitely the best sci-fi game story so far (2007) a great campaign and simply the best multiplayer on xbox 360.

    Halo 3 rocks in every way, the graphics are great, the playability, and the voicework are all stellar too. The plot is very interesting as you follow Master Chief in his attempt to stop the Covenant once and for all. The multiplayer rocks the house as it is very fun to play in and the forge morge allows you to edit your own maps, providing tons of fun. Overall Halo 3 is a great game thatHalo 3 rocks in every way, the graphics are great, the playability, and the voicework are all stellar too.     In my opinion one of the best franchises of all time, you don't see a lot of video games that start a generation like halo, this is what you get when you take time preparation, a masterpiece.

    Best halo ever it has the most guns in the series the best levels and the easiest controls it's storyline could have been better but all around this is the best halo has to offer I'd play this over halo reach anyway it's a must buy

The most competitive Halo to date. Is not for "casuals" in my opinion but that's how gaming should be. FPS games are not about the storyline, they're about the multiplayer.     This is the first game that I really strived to get all of the achievements for and this review is more on the fun of gathering the specific achievements that this game has than the actual game itself. (It is a great game).     Call me a Fanboy but I love Halo (Sure it kinda rips of Aliens in a few too many places) but I love the supporting cast, the multiplayer (No not Halo 4's!) and the whole idea of a race of Aliens united by their religious ideals which they accepted or were forced to.
    This is by far a truly epic conclusion (Yes conclusion) to Master Chief's story and the whole Human Covenant war. What am I missing... oh yeah theatre mode also makes an interesting addition (Although I didn't spend a lot of time using it) and it really does FINISH THE FIGHT!

    Amazing envolving gameplay. I wasn't the biggest fan of Halo or Halo 2, but Halo 3 blows my mind. The way you can use your brain to get yourself out of sticky situations by using your surroundings and the tools that the game provides (e.g. gravity grenade) adds the extra spice to this already awesome FPS. The sceneries are gorgeous and the vehicles tons of fun. The story, music, and Amazing envolving gameplay. I wasn't the biggest fan of Halo or Halo 2, but Halo 3 blows my mind.     Halo is truly amazing. **** u CoD players cuz Halo has a good storyline, multiplayer, soundtrack, and its sorta emotional. All CoD has is a good multiplayer and nazi zombies. CoD also barely has a storyline. All CoD players and Halo haters don't know what a good FPS is.

    This game is hands down the best game I have played in my entire life, nothing can beat it. The campaign was absolutely bad ass and awesome, it gives me this awesome feeling. The multiplayer, I can't explain how awesome it is, BTB on Sandtrap, Infection on Custom Sandbox maps. I can never get over how good this game was, and still is. I will never forget this game (Maybe that is because IThis game is hands down the best game I have played in my entire life, nothing can beat it.     On a campaign note, it was very good. There were awesome moments which really attached you to the characters and had them feeling their pain and suffering or joy. The campaign is always fun to play and the hundreds of easter eggs hidden throughout the campaign along with terminals create almost a second game within itself which has been seen in the community.
    There is no comparison to this game, apart from its previous multiplayer title of Halo 2.

    How the **** did this game get a 7.6? This is arguably the best halo ever made. The weapons are well balanced, new creative ideas, great maps, forge is sick and the bubble shield is sweet.

    This was THE game back in the days playing with friends. Bungie with this new game introduced the Forge in which you can create ANYTHING you want and build and play on it. I never got bored with it nor the map packs that came out. Really changed the gaming world.

Aside from that, the gameplay is perfectly balanced, it never emphasises competition or victory, but encourages you to have fun. The maps are well designed, and compliment the gameplay perfectly. There are a variety of interesting weapons to use, and there are tons of vehicles that all handle in their own unique way, and have their own features. Not to mention, Halo 3 introduced Forge, one of the best map editors in video games, as well as theater, which let you relive the best moments of your experience either in campaign or multiplayer. In addition, playing custom games is truly special, coming up with all sorts of crazy game modes, and playing them with friends, was so much fun, and will stick with many people as some of the best memories they have had in a video game. Halo 3 was a true masterpiece, it will always be the game I hold the closest to my heart. Thanks to Bungie, the creators of the game, for leaving their mark on the gaming community, with a great trilogy of games, and in particular, Halo 3. If you haven't played Halo 3, please get it if you have an Xbox 360, and somehow don't have this game yet. Perhaps they'll be able to be downloaded from XboxLive. Brilliant game, excellent. Awesome how now basically everything is destructable including phantoms and scarabs.… Expand

    Easily my favorite game in the series, Halo 3 improves on everything that made the first 2 great, and cranking them up to 11. With a fun and interesting Singleplayer campaign, and excellent Multiplayer.

    The best Halo game without a doubt. In Halo 2 people hated the sniper jackals, they added lights to them and made there snipers a two shot kill. in Halo 2 people found the arbiter sections boring (I personally disagree) removed. The best halo game for multiplayer, and campaign with a satisfying ending and an addictive multiplayer. Graphics have aged surprisingly well.

For one, the story finishes the original trilogy of the Halo franchise and ends it off on a note that was really good, and while I didn’t like it as much as Halo 2, I still love it.     The hype leading up to the release for this game was real. Hell even I was getting excited and I wasn't really into Halo back then. Fast forward couple of years later and I finally played this game and man did this not disappoint. Before Halo 4 and 5 this was the way to end this series. The conclusion was fantastic with the story being more gripping than ever. Maybe not better than Halo 2The hype leading up to the release for this game was real.     No matter what others say, the brand Halo stands for perfectly balanced FPS action with beautiful graphics, breathtaking soundtrack and a highly exciting storyline. And this third installment is no exception, even if the hype was too big. The only thing I miss about Halo 3 is innovation. But hey, never change a running system. Top game!

    The Game is worth it alone for the campaign. The story is just so compelling (obviously play the first two games before this) the gameplay is phenomenal and man its just a blast playing through it sniping down brutes, elites and sticking a plasma to a grunt.     Good finale to the original trilogy even if it is the weakest one. It felt like the arbiter was side-lined a bit and it's quite jarring that Truth and Miranda's voice actors were changed. Though despite my criticisms the game was still a really good finale to the trilogy.

    The final installment in the Halo Saga was quite a big game when it was released, i'm not joking but even my mom was excited for this game after i graduated from college i introduced her to the halo franchise.
    But how does halo 3 end the trilogy? The multiplayer was the best when halo 3 got released and today is a classic multiplayer experience but i'm here for the campaign. I have a very little problem with halo 3 before i get into the REAL stuff and that's the voice acting, characters Truth and Miranda voice actors were changed between Halo 2 and 3 and that is a bit annoying while playing through the campaign. But Halo 3 was a near perfect end for the trilogy, mh only problem with the campaign is that it could have used more build up and challenge, thr game felt a bit short compared to the first two games but Halo 3 is the true masterpiece that everyone hoped for and deserved the "finish the fight" slogan.    … Expand

    When halo 3 came, i had just finished the college so i went out and work for 2 months to buy a 360 and a copy of Halo 3 when it launches, but when halo 3 launched, the game outsold all the previous entries! And after playing it, i had one thing to say :WOW", this game was just perfect, the Gameplay was the best Gameplay in any shooter and the story was epic as hell.

    Halo 3 was the most hyped game for me back then. I remember finishing college and getting a XBOX 360 right after. Well, when i played halo 3 it didn't blew my mind but i had the best time in the world with it, the story felt epic but a little bit cliché but the Gameplay was flawless. The online multiplayer was the finest out of the trilogy, but still halo 3 kicked ass pretty well.

    Well, Halo 3 may not be the best exclusive XBOX 360 gave us but it's such an amazing ending to the first two games... The lack of arbiter was my big problem and some other changes that happened but overall this game STILL Kicks ass.

    There were a lot of controversy surrounding Halo 3 when it launched, Critics loved the campaign but the short length of the campaign compared to Halo CE or Halo 2 was the problem, Halo 3 broke records and rewrote history, it was still the perfect end that everyone wanted for this trilogy but i can understand where some criticisms come from.

    This is honestly one of the best games in my opinion. The gameplay is awsome and the story is absolutely amazing! Bungie really set the bar high and I cannot wait to see future Halo games. Large maps, large vehicle combat, the innovative weapons. These are one of the many things what makes Halo 3 one of the greatest games of ALL time. Long live Halo!

    Halo 3 is the best Xbox 360 game to date. The single-player campaign and storyline are both very strong, but it's Forge and the Saved Films features that will likely go down in history as Bungie's crowning achievements. They've basically taken everything great about the series and improved upon it in every way, then added some amazing new features that we'll be using for years to come.
