Oct 17, 2012Dragon Ball Z for Kinect proved to be surprisingly impressive. Graphically it really pulls off the anime to video game jump, and the gameplay matches well by allowing you to play through the original storyline.
-
Oct 22, 2012DBZ for Kinect is far more likely to appeal to a young and enthusiastic audience as opposed to an average gamer, or one who is used to the depth of a typical DBZ game.
-
Dec 7, 2012The bottom line is that if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan, this is probably going to be a good value for you to play through all the characters, watch the movie, and try to get the additional QR codes for added fun. If you're looking for a good fighting game on Kinect, this one might leaving you feeling a little defeated.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKDec 6, 2012The control system completely alters the game. This might disappoint fans, but we prefer it. [Issue#92, p.86]

Oct 19, 2012There's no doubt hat the intentions behind Dragon Ball Z for Kinect were good, but once again it feels as if the Kinect camera's lack of precision has been an obstacle for the developers.
-
Oct 14, 2012A double sided game: while the combat system is immediate and easily approachable by every kind of gamer, other elements like the lack of local multiplayer and bad storytelling in the story mode steer it away from the casual players, the natural target for a Kinect game.

Oct 11, 2012There is one thing this game can be proud of: it works! Your movements are almost always correctly registered. And lets be honest, shouting Kamehameha at your TV and seeing it happening in game is awesome. This game lacks content however. A few fights in the single player is all you have to look forward to. After a couple of hours you are done with it.
-
Oct 4, 2012The only great thing for DBZ fans is the brand new anime episode, but that's not enough to satisfy the players.
-
Oct 11, 2012This Kinect offering works well enough, but Teen rating aside, it's best suited for younger fans looking to live out their anime daydreams.
-
Oct 5, 2012Imitate Kakarot and friends in a game has no price. But Kinect gets to ruin the experience in a simple game that also lacks in content. Good for children. Bad for anyone else.
-
Nov 4, 2012The game has a fantastic look and a ton of content for those who love Dragon Ball Z. In the end I think fans of the series may overlook the game's deficiencies, but casual fans that have a Kinect may want to walk right on by this one.

Official Xbox Magazine UKFeb 27, 2013Far from being a knockout. [March 2013, p.87]
-
Nov 1, 2012Yet another unsatisfying Dragon Ball Z iteration which on paper looks extremely promising, but in action falls surprisingly short.
-
Oct 22, 2012A fighting game without multiplayer or storytelling that makes sense without reading 42 mangas can't be seen as an finished product and should definitely not be sold for full price. This game is only for fans.
-
Oct 12, 2012With Dragon Ball Z Kinect, Bandai Namco Games could have revolutionized the fighting games as we know them, especially by offering the opportunity to play, for real, Son Goku and his friends. However, despite a great roster and a lot of animations visually impressive, Dragon Ball Z Kinect suffers from inaccurate motion controls and a Story Mode that won't please our absolute passion for the famous cartoon created by Akira Toriyama.
-
Oct 9, 2012Dragon Ball: Kinect has major flaws in every section. Badly designed and dull to play, it fails to entertain even really young players.
-
Oct 3, 2012Spike ChunSoft's effort to create an hardcore, Kinect based Dragon Ball experience is not that good. The basic gameplay mechanics are ok, but they have failed in being entertaining due to the lack of variety. The reaction time of the hardware is quite a problem too, slowing down the pace of the fights. Younger Dragon Ball fans will be ok with the game anyway, just cause it's too cool to throw a Kamehameha in real-life.
