    Mowing over bodies with a lawnmower, decapitating them with hedge clippers, and knocking them over with bowling balls is immensely entertaining and worth the price of admission...But be warned! While Dead Rising isn't a difficult game to complete, its boring escort missions/fetch quests (as well as the single player game's strict adherence to the schedule) make it less than stellar.

    Except for the mentioned flaws it is spot on design-wise and and the enjoyable zombie theme and a tasteful art direction accompanied by a good soundtrack ranging from creepy keyboard-tunes to spot on wishy-washy mall muzak helps to propel a great atmosphere, which is just satirical enough to avoid taking itself too seriously.

    Like many zombie flicks in history, this is for a cult audience only. It's a genuine shame but it just isn't very good.

    Probably the most frustrating game I have ever played. The game forces you along at its own pace and if you don't go along with it you Probably the most frustrating game I have ever played. The game forces you along at its own pace and if you don't go along with it you will miss out on parts of the storyline. Weapons break quickly and without warning and the game then equips you with the next item in your inventory, very annoying when your beating zombies with a bat and when suddenly your character switches to a magazine and gets torn apart. Friendly AI is as brainless as the zombies and loves to get itself killed. Terrible save system that makes you replay huge segments of the game. And cheating boss fights. In the first battle when your shooting your enemy he will simply ignore the fact he is being shot and fire back at you, But when you get shot you stumble around like a retard unable to do anything. Why doesn't this happen to him too? And when attempting to aim with your gun the game will suddenly snap your view to a completely different place then where you were looking, meaning you have to very slowly turn your crosshair back to where it is you wanted to fire.… Full Review »

Completed it this morning, started right back from the start immediately. The deadlines are tight and the saves infrequent, but that just adds more adrenalin to an already tightly packed game.
