I hate these who votes without playing the game. They are stupid trolls, haters and BF3 fanboys. MW3 is such a great game. Great solo and great multiplayer. I enjoyed more 20 minuts of the solo of MW3 than the 6 hours of the solo of battlefield.

Very cool game. Great single player. Story makes you feel like you are in an action movie. Multiplayer with the new killstreaks is also loads of fun. This is going to be one of those games that gets played for a whole year, until the next COD comes out.

Best CoD thus-far. Stop **** and asking for a **** laser beam rifle. IT'S COD. Wtf did you expect? You all rating it so low obviously did not even like Call of Duty from the start so i don't understand why you even bought it. This is how cod has been. This is how cod will be. They are not going to be douches and give us anti-gravity suits or some **** Use your brains for once. *facepalm*

Great storyline and best multiplayer ever! I won't say it's better than battlefield, both games are cool, but I like mw3 more. It's true that campaign is short and easy (of course on veteran) but it's very effective

I play both the BF and CoD series and with the latest release if CoD MW3 I will say I am very pleased with the multiplayer so far. I am mainly a multiplayer player not single player. I have read complaints about how spec ops is not 4 player coop, so what thats part of the challenge, plenty of people played 4 player coop in Nazi Zombies and just destroyed it, so whats the problem with a little challenge in having fewer people. Now the competetive multiplayer. Kill confirmed is a new breath of fresh air in the series, it eliminates those who camp for every kill and promotes more teamwork that the usual game modes and requires every member to be more active to create the outcome of the match. As well Team defender is a nice new take on combining two of the series popular game modes (Team D and Capture the Flag) My time spent playing this so far has been the most fun as well as the most frustrating as this is undoubtedly one for those who have friends to accompany them in the fight. But to settle everyones complaints, yes some of the guns are the same and some of the same perks but their balancing has now almost been perfected. For every perk or gun you use there is a different one to contrast it making the firefights more balanced, even for unexperienced players. Infinity Ward has also taken note of players who may not set high killstreaks but play to the game feel more involved and brought to them the ability to earn killstreaks without the need to camp or play with a party to obtain those by implementing the support killstreak class. With a few gun balancing tweaks (mainly the shotguns) the game will be a near perfection in the first person shooter market. Expand

I don't understand these reviews some people are writing...there isn't a better mutliplayer system out there. There is a reason this is the highest grossing war game out there. Stop hating, enjoy the game....and if you don't enjoy it don't buy it in the first place. The game doesn't deserve a 10/10 but it is a great game and deserves nothing under a 7.5. It has addicting multiplayer and the survival and spec ops modes are addicting. I have to agree though that the campaign is horrible. It is 5 hours of the same duck in cover and shoot mechanic with a few vehicle levels mixed in. One memorable level is close to the beginning of the game where you have to stop a nuclear meltdown in a Russian sub. Overall the campaign is boring and short with a hard to follow story, but the multiplayer really saves the game. Sure the graphics look the same, but in order to keep it at 60 fps, they can't improve on them too much more for consoles. They have re-done gun sounds, kill streaks, perks, made 16 new great maps. Call of Duty developed a very good formula for a first person shooter, and they would be fools to deviate from it. What kind of new innovations should they have made? Maybe they should made MW3 a racing game, or an RPG... Its really easy to say make MW3 different than the rest, but something you never see are good suggestions from people criticizing of what exactly they should have done. The game looks, feels, and plays great. That is the criteria of a good game, and MW3 has it in spades. Expand

Wow. I assume the people who would grade this highly are all just online enjoying the game. It's tons of fun - nice new wrinkles to MP, new game modes, etc. It's lots of fun for COD fans, and seems accessible to new casual gamers. I don't understand the hate at all. This game is just as much fun as I thought it would be.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't understand why everyone is slapping down this game? It's a great way to end the story. I tried playing battlefield 3 and it was lacking. We picked up in MW3 right after Soap got stabbed. You then play as Yuri, one of Makarovs men turned to Price and Soaps team after he was shot by Makarov at the Airport mission before you go mow down half of Moscow. You discover this after (Spoiler) the death of Soap. The story is well thought out, the play is typical, however well known, and if you don't give this game an honest look and play, you are missing out. And please, do not judge this game on my words or of the other people who have given a bad review (though I suspect another developer is behind that). Play it and enjoy, have a cigar ready to smoke at the end of story mode so you can take in the full experience. Expand

First, the 0-5 star reviews are ludicrous. Actual 0-5 star games don't even last on the shelf. MW3 is easily a 9/10 game; for me it is 10/10. Again, the graphics are wonderful, and set pieces are really majestic; the story is interesting and winding (make sure you pay attention). Finally, unheard of in this class of games, there is another play mode called Spec Ops that included 2 horde-style and mission-style gameplay. These are fun and innovative, and some might enjoy it more than multiplayer. I'm not sure if the BF3 or Halo fanboys are just upset that MW3 is performing so well, or if they are just this immature, but it doesn't make sense that they would waste their time lying on these reviews. This is a great game, and it will last much longer than the ones they are standing behind. Should you be torn between games, MW3 is absolutely the way to go. Expand

If they would have changed MW3 anymore it would have been a different game. When I bought it i knew it would 'feel the same'- but that's what I want! Everyone complaining, don't tell me you didn't watch gameplay footage and trailers before buying the game, you all knew what to expect. Your bad internet connection in relation to servers is not a reason to give the game a low score. Furthermore if you do not like FPS games to begin with, don't tarnish the titles name since you have a hard time with the point and shoot mechanic- not for this game, but for all future FPS games. I play Final Fantasy to save the world, I play Halo to jump around, Gears to blow people up, and CoD because its CoD! Lastly, remember that its always gameplay over graphics. Expand

Easily the best game of the series. And probably the best game of the year. Rather than add some extra graphics or bs like other games might, they instead choose to focus on the story, multiplayer and special ops. The story is thrilling and fun much like the predecessors. The special ops though, wow, just wow. Some of the most fun I've ever had playing split screen.

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
