Quite possibly one of the greatest games of all time. The multiplayer is streets ahead of BF3's and 60 fps = silky smooth gameplay. It is very similar to MW2 (which just so happens to be one of the best COD's out there) which explains why its just so darn addicting.

Exact same **** as last year. Should have been released as DLC not another game.
Activision are driving this franchise into the ground the same way they did with guitar hero.
You can't just keep repackaging the same game and expect gamers to be non-the-wiser.
Your days of fooling people are up Activision, even hardcore fans are beginning to see through you.

I would never normally do this but MW3 is more of the same. Single player is repetitive and not worth wasting time to finish. Multiplayer is the same run and gun around like an idiot. It does something like run, run, die, shoot, run, die, die, die, shoot. I feel like I have no control of what's happening around me. Same look, same feel, same game. Waste of $60.00.

Im sure there are some differences or so called improvements from mw and mw2 but since i havnt played either in a long time I couldnt tell ya what they were, seems the same to me. I really wanted something to stand out and blow me away but it didnt happen. I liked the singleplayer as short as it was. Nothing memorable but short and painless to say the least. Multiplayer, same crap peer to peer, host with the most networking as before. Same gameplay from what i feel just tighter maps and a refined perk system. I'm not into shooters, but I do enjoy the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty MW3 got me hook from the very start to the final moments. The campaign mode is very addicting, almost watching a movie. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a hard game to score. If you have played any of the Call Of Duty games in the last four years then you pretty much know what to expect. Each year COD becomes more and more polished and it really shows in MW3. I really hope that the future DLC is more than map packs. I don't feel like paying for a map I have already paid for in the past (again) and in some ways that's how it feels with MW3, like I,m paying for a major update or yes... a large expansion. It is no better or worse than Battlefield 3 and it is NOT a bad game but if I was strapped for cash or only had a choice of one game this holiday season, it wouldn't be MW3. I really hope that Activision takes these user scores as a hint and starts to show fans of the franchise more thanks for their support and less of they same. Honestly unlike BF3, I think the COD franchise is holding their big guns for the next generation of consoles. Expand

The Multiplayer on the other hand was exactly what I feared. If you enjoyed the MP for MW2 then you'll love this, because honestly, it's pretty much the same. Sure they added in some new perks and you can level your gun up now (neat?)

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
