    Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece of a game, everything about it is amazing. The movement, the music, the level design it all oozes pure magic. It is one of if not the best Mario games made. The only single complaint I can have is the motion controls. If you have not played this game then you are doing something wrong it is pure joy.

    Yes this is a must play game. Metacritic are not exaggerating in the slightest. The mechanics and level design are great and Rosalina's backstory is probably the most fleshed out in Mario history. Yeah, this is probably one of my favourite game of all time.

    This game has, in my opinion, easily earned the title of best Mario game. It manages to do everything at once and do them all spectacularly. The levels are well-designed and most are incredibly memorable. These levels are accompanied by a Mario that, save for the underwater controls, controls very well, and an absolutely phenomenal soundtrack, which is one of the best ever composed. WhileThis game has, in my opinion, easily earned the title of best Mario game. It manages to do everything at once and do them all spectacularly. The levels are well-designed and most are incredibly memorable. These levels are accompanied by a Mario that, save for the underwater controls, controls very well, and an absolutely phenomenal soundtrack, which is one of the best ever composed. While there are a lot of bosses in this game, because of the sound design, character design and the mechanics of the boss fights, you feel a sense of accomplishment after every boss. I could go on for hours, but you get the idea. It’s a shame that the recently released Mario 3d All Stars, which included this game, is no longer available. Every Mario fan, regardless of whether they own a Wii or not, should be able to enjoy this masterpiece… Expand

    I remember being a kid and playing as the little star character at my friends house for this game. Even playing as a "second player" the game was super fun. It has great level design, awesome music, and really fun gameplay. One of the best Mario games you can find out there.

    All I really need to say is that the soundtrack DEFINITELY overdid itself; in a good way. Even thought I didn’t play this game growing up, I did play Galaxy 2 which does reuse or remix the old songs. My favorites are Buoy Base Galaxy and Purple Coins, if you haven’t you should really give them a listen.     Awesome! Played this on my Wii, when I was about 4-6 years old. Now I've got it again and beat it. Nice story, graphic, gameplay and atmosphere.

    A perfect game, I think everything is excellent in this game, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is great, the story is spectacular, and the soundtrack is the best that nintendo has ever done, this game is very worthwhile.

    It still stands up to this day in my opinion. The game is phenomenal. This game is enjoyable for anyone of any age and still stands up today against modern Mario titles like Super Mario Odyssey. And a lot of new people have played the game recently from the release of Super Mario 3D All Stars last year making the game accessible on modern hardware being the Switch.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Best game I've ever played. Period. The story is your typical Mario "oh no! the princess was captured by evil turtle man, now italian plumber must save her (but it's in space this time)" story, but everything else is just glorious. The gameplay, the music (Jesus the music is so good, not a single track is bad imo) and the levels, design concepts and enemies are incredibly creative. Also, once you've collected all 120 power stars, you get to play as Luigi! However, once you get 120 power stars, you get to play as Luigi, and you have to play the whole game over again, with no differences except for Luigi's higher jump and less stable movement (the no new missions thing was fixed in the sequel). But the game was so good I didn't really mind. There are Prankster Comets that come by and change the gameplay of a level, for example, if a Prankster Comet lands on a level, you could have to collect a bunch of purple coins in that level, or have a race with a clone of yourself (I loved these). The ending is heartwarming, and a little sad, too. Just the best game ever, If God had a favorite game, it might be Super Mario Galaxy, It's that good, man, just play it. 10/10, such a damn good game.… Expand

    For me this is the perfect 3d mario game. The idea of planets as maps is executed perfectly in this game. Not a single galaxy ever felt boring to play through. I dont really have to go in debth regarding how good it is.

    One of the goats. This game is legendary. The platforming is perfect, the creativity unmatched, the fun unrivaled, the universe is beautiful. Mario’s power ups are ridiculous and addicting to play around with. This game is a master piece. If I had to give a flaw it’s the Wii controls but that’s the consoles fault. If you can play it on switch I’d recommend that!

    I consider this game to be Mario's Magnum Opus. Phenomenal soundtrack, the gameplay is the most fun I ever had fun in a Mario game. It's a damn near flawless game.

    This game is peak Nintendo. There really isn't anything bad to say about this game. It's fun, soundtrack is amazing, graphics are good (especially for the Wii). There are a couple levels in the game that can be pretty annoying, but that's just a minor flaw. My childhood right here.

    Do I even need to say why this game is fantastic? The level design is phenomenal the power ups are executed like a dream! The music is the best I've ever heard in a video game! Mario controls beautifully, if this isn't the best game of all time I don't know what is. If you haven't played it yet I am lost for words just go play it it is SO goddamn good.

    This is the best Mario game and one of my top 10 games of all time. I used to play it as a child and recently i found my dirty wii so i said “why not?”. This game is magic, even after playing it a couple of times. And the soundtrack, man the spundthack is amazing. This game is gorgeous, even after almost 15 years. 10/10 had a lot of fun playing it

    This is my favorite game of all time, the graphics are beautiful, the music makes you feel like you're in the same planet as Mario and the camera, although sometimes works a little bit weird, is great. But even with that makes the game a high score, the level design and the story are amazing, an the fact that you can play with Luigi, please check it out if you haven't play it before.

    My First Wii Game of all Time, and for me the Best Mario Adventure of all Time. All the Galaxies are absolutely Awesome in every Aspect and the fun factor is very big at the same Time. And that's not all that makes the game great, it also tells a story that is extremely sad and made me shed a tear. I still hope that FINALLY the third Game will come, which will blow me and all of us away.

Los mundos son muy vivos, creativos, distintos el uno del otro, con una canción de fondo que sea el mapa que sea te va a gustar. Tiene bosses creativos y épicos, recuerdo un Boss de bowser en un planeta pequeño y unSin dudarlo, el mejor juego de Mario de la historia. No importa cuantos juegos nuevos de Mario salgan, siempre voy a opinar que este juego me ha sorprendido como ningún otro. Los mundos son muy vivos, creativos, distintos el uno del otro, con una canción de fondo que sea el mapa que sea te va a gustar.     Ce jeu est un excellent jeu pour tout type de joueurs. Ce jeu a marqué mon enfance avec son univers à la fois jovial et mélancolique.
    Tout d'abord le point qui m'a le plus marqué à l'époque l'univers et les boss. Quand tu arrives pour la première fois dans l'observatoire j'étais, et je le suis toujours, émerveillé. Et en rentrant dans la première galaxie planète œuf le jeu révèle toute sa    Ce jeu est un excellent jeu pour tout type de joueurs. Ce jeu a marqué mon enfance avec son univers à la fois jovial et mélancolique.
    Tout d'abord le point qui m'a le plus marqué à l'époque l'univers et les boss. Quand tu arrives pour la première fois dans l'observatoire j'étais, et je le suis toujours, émerveillé. Et en rentrant dans la première galaxie planète œuf le jeu révèle toute sa force, son univers. Le sentiment d'espace est très plaisant et bluffant, jusqu'à arriver au premier boss qui est originale. Pour moi le jeu atteint son paroxysme dans la galaxie poussière d'étoile qui est pour moi la meilleure galaxie du jeu avec son sentiment d'immensité et d'infini qui apporte une forme de mélancolie appuyé par la musique magistrale de ce niveau ce qui va m'emmener sur la deuxième force du jeu ses musiques.
    Les musiques dans ce jeu sont pour moi les meilleures musiques des jeux Mario. J'ai parlé précédemment de la musique de poussière d'étoile mais il y en a tant d'autre comme la musique de l'écran d'accueil, ou la musique de planètes oeufs. Ces musiques renforcent les sentiments de grandeur et d'immensité de ce jeu.
    Je voudrais m'attarder vite fait sur un autre plan crucial du jeu les boss. Pour moi ces boss sont les meilleures de tous les jeu Mario confondu (excepté les Browser), j'ai une préférence pour Poulpoboss et les Bowser junior.
    Pour conclure, Mario Galaxie est pour moi un des meilleurs jeu de tous les temps par son univers incroyable. J'ai une préférence pour le premier opus car il est pour moi plus magistrale que le deuxième. Bref Nintendo faite une suite s'il vous plait.    … Expand

    I watched my dad play this as a kid and played it as a kid, played it again when I was a teen and played it just earlier this year. One of the most charming and memorable video games I have ever played with it's phenomenal music, satisfying objectives, and universal enjoyability.

    This is me coming back to this game as an adult now and it still holds up as the best game of all time in my book. The mechanics, gameplay, and story are still mind blowing to me. If you have not played this yet please go buy it you will not regret it

    My favorite game of all time. This really feels like a grand and epic adventure and the level design is near perfect and I can play this game and never get bored.

    This game is beautiful in every conceivable way. From the gorgeous art style and set design, to the beautiful and evocative soundtrack, to the masterful level design, to the story that has ACTUAL CHARACTERS (!!), this is a game that seems to pull emotion right out of you. It keeps the joyful feeling that the series is known for, but it doesn't shove it in your face like some other 3D gamesThis game is beautiful in every conceivable way. From the gorgeous art style and set design, to the beautiful and evocative soundtrack, to the masterful level design, to the story that has ACTUAL CHARACTERS (!!), this is a game that seems to pull emotion right out of you. It keeps the joyful feeling that the series is known for, but it doesn't shove it in your face like some other 3D games in the series (3D World, looking at you); the joy simply comes naturally, almost primally. But, that entire argument probably sounds very weird, so let's just gloss over that, shall we? Anyway, the game is very bombastic and dramatic, but it knows when to have its quiet moments. Super Mario Galaxy is truly a masterful experience in every way, and it is my favorite video game of all time.

This game does take a more linear approach to level design compared to its predecessors: Super Mario 64 & Super Mario Sunshine, which had more sandbox level design; but it's all forNot only is it the best Mario game ever made, it's also one of the greatest games of all-time. This is platforming perfection; the anti-gravity mechanic allows for so much creativity in design and spectacle. This game does take a more linear approach to level design compared to its predecessors: Super Mario 64 & Super Mario Sunshine, which had more sandbox level design; but it's all for the better. Super Mario Galaxy takes advantage of its linearity and makes gorgeous, creatively designed galaxies to explore.
    The soundtrack has some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game, or any media for that matter, this orchestra poured they're heart and soul into this game and it shows, even the non-orchestrated tracks are still great to listen to and fit their respective areas beautifully.
    The controls and physics are stiffer and tighter to fit the anti-gravity level design and feel really good to control! The controls were clearly designed around the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and feel fantastic! The amount of motion controls feel just right unlike some Wii games, you really feel aggravated by them, and they never really impact gameplay negatively except maybe for certain stages that require it.
    The story is also quite deep for a Mario game. It can be intense and action packed, but also somber and quiet. A certain storybook in the game is a real tearjerker and I recommend reading it when you play the game.
    Overall, Super Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece at platforming and atmosphere. It captures the vastness, loneliness, quietness, and vastness of space beautifully and I couldn't recommend it more. If you haven't played it already go do it. You won't regret it.    … Expand

In this game you play as Mario, Trying to save peach from the middle of the universe. (I know weird) The gameplay of this game is unimaginable and flawless, from the way Mario spins to the long jumps is perfection. Nintendo absolutely perfected the gravity and physics, which is important because the game was based on that, which was amazing at the time, even coming from Super Mario Sunshine. The gameplay and graphics still hold up to this day, competing with games like Red Dead Redemption and GTA V. There is also a plethora of content, as you don't need every star and complete every level to beat it, giving it a good post-game gameplay. On top of all of that, as soon as you 100% the game, it gives you the option to play Super Luigi Galaxy, where you play through the game again but modified with a different character and a different move set, with the levels being slightly modified. This game is a masterpiece and will always be, If you haven't played this, I recommend buying a Wii just for this.… Expand
