The most impressive RPG and game on the Wii U right now that you can put hundreds of hours into. Beautiful graphics, a very fun combat system, great soundtrack. This is one game you want to have if you own a Wii U.

This game is the new platinum standard in RPG. This game puts all other futuristic RPGs to absolute shame. It is hands down the best JRPG I have ever played, and quite possibly the best RPG of any subtype.

I have yet to encounter a single glitch. The open world is seamless and beautiful. The artwork is is probably the best I have seen in any game since Final Fantasy X over a decade ago. The game demands from the start that you immerse yourself in the world. What Avatar and Star Wars are to the silver screen, this game is to video gaming.

I honestly can't remember playing a game that was this good.

It's one of the best games for WiiU and one of the best RPGs in any new generation console, with a gigantic overworld full of exploration, wild animal life and one of the most gorgeous scenarios in the next gen.

There's really something huge about this game. And it's not only the game itself but the amount of work put on it. It sure feels different than the first Xenoblade game, but when you're playing it taking your time you realise why this is one of the best games ever made.

First of all, the content is almost endless. The main story is interesting and there are A LOT of secondary missions.

First of all, the content is almost endless. The main story is interesting and there are A LOT of secondary missions. This was something that I think everyone already knew.

What I try to say is that we have to look further. Xenoblade X provides a giant world to explore. And I mean GIANT. Even the city (New Los Angeles) is enormous. We have no loading screens while we're in open world, where there are SO MANY THINGS on screen. And the framerate keeps stable. Yes. The framerate is freaking damn stable. And that's one of the best things in this game, as the Wii U is not as powerful as other systems, and Monolith have Managed to take all this stuff into a 25GB disc and make it run on the Wii U perfectly. Genius.

On the other hand, you're not just going to kill stuff and leveling up. You will need to help the mankind in order to survive in planet Mira, and that means you can choose what you do in every moment. And there are many ways of helping people, as defending the city from the creatures outside, or being a mediator between some people's relationships, for example.

I can only say this game is, no doubt, one of the best games I've ever play. Totally worth it.

I don't really play RPGs let alone JRPGs but this game is excellent. The scale, the amount of content and quests is just staggering. If you don't own a Wii U, this is a game that warrants a purchase. This and Smash bros of course :) 10/10

Xenoblade Chronicles X is not so much “deep” as it is complex – a rich spider’s web of interconnected activities that will take hours to fully comprehend. Work is involved in fully grasping this whole show, but once you’ve finally sorted things out and taken advantage of the game’s ginormous virtual manual, there’s a wonderfully absorbing adventure lying in wait.

It’s a game that understands the importance of rewarding players for their personal investment, and it makes sure that, no matter how convoluted its design, no matter how lengthy its tangential content, the payoff is always worth the time and effort.

There are moments that make me scratch my head, infuriate me, and even make me cringe, but when I consider the layered mass that is Xenoblade Chronicles X, all I can think of how damn arresting it is. How much of it is there. How much of it is thoroughly enchanting.

Oh, and did I mention the music? Hiroyuki Sawano maker of many Anime related music (like Attack on Titan!) has made truly on hell of a soundtrack YEAH! OH! NLA! Easy GOTY 2015 for me and anybody how loves big JRPGs with 300+ hours of gameplay should buy it ASAP!

This is without a doubt in my book a technical masterpiece and an impressive game. Therefore is my 2015 GOTY. Everyone who loves ARpgs, JRpgs or RPGs in general should not miss this game. Even people who hate Nintendo, Monolith Soft and RPGs should play this game. Yeah that good the game is.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is epic and a really great game, but one that requires the player to approach it in a specific way. Every user of WiiU need to buy this. If you don't have a Wiiu, buy it ASAP.

The fun in Xenoblade is seemingly never-ending, thanks to an amazing combat system and lots of things to do.

We got used to developers promising huge worlds to explore, but there’s no other game where the world is so overwhelmingly vast. I honestly don’t know how much time you have to invest in Xenoblade Chronicles X to see everything this game has to offer. [02/2016, p.60]

Xenoblade Chronicles is otherwise great, but the thin main plot and sheer repetition drop the score. [Jan 2016]
