Dec 8, 2014I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The concept, the controls, environment and puzzles. Ultimately its let down by its length as my geeky smile of gaming orgasm appeared it ended a real shame but it definitely has me excited for there next game steam world heist, which hopefully with a bigger budget can be a slightly longer gem. If you enjoy 2-d titles this is a must have to any collection.

Jan 26, 2015I enjoyed this game, but it is very short and fairly typical.
Pros:
+ Art style is awesome
+ digging
+ upgrading
Cons:
- digging and digging and digging
- very short
- gameplay seen before many times
- once through is enough -
Sep 8, 2014Nice game with nice mechanics BUT waaay too short. Can't recomend it if you have to pay more than 5 bucks for this. When it starts to get interesting it just ends...pity..

Official Nintendo Magazine UKOct 11, 2014This gem is worth picking up again, even if it's just to gawk at the HD revamp. [Issue#116, p.90]

Oct 2, 2014The core of Steamworld Dig is a simple one, yet with the charm & wit it possesses really hooks you in.

Oct 1, 2014If you already own it, I wouldn’t recommend picking this up even if you are fancying a second playthrough and own it elsewhere (why waste the money on a game you already have?) but for first timers, go for it. It’s fun, well made, and hopefully if it does well, we’ll see some sequels set in their weird post-human no-electricity world.
