The Way Remastered introduces us a man who does not accept the death of the person he loves, and thanks to his experience working as an explorer and researcher, he believes he has found a way to resurrect his wife. The game does not arrive with an impeccable translation into Spanish, and there are small bugs that can complicate the experience of this adventure. However, the game is still an incredible experience that fans of puzzle games will love.

I found The Way Remastered’s presentation to be the most enjoyable aspect of the whole experience. The artwork, music, sound effects, and environments are fantastic. I was shocked at how immersive the experience was, from the beginning’s intense stealth mission to exploring the dark ruins of an alien planet.

The Way Remastered is a fun and challenging puzzle platformer. The world is wonderfully crafted and is a sight to behold. The game closing errors and game breaking bug are annoying and ruin the fun. Relying only on autosave can cause problems, as I learned the hard way. Hopefully the planned patch can fix these issues.

A charming game with an astonishing atmosphere, The Way Remastered will surely be a splendid Flashback-like adventure in the near future. Sadly, Sonka's porting is "today" quite unstable tot the point that we had not been able to see the ending because of a sudden crash and a corrupted autosave: beware, if you want to buy the game before a fixing patch.

The Way Remastered isn't an experience you're going to forget in a while, but it would be markedly improved with more accurate controls. As such, it's more irritating than it is inspiring in its current form.

The story was interesting with captivating settings and gorgeous areas to explore. The game also featured a great audio design, with some voice acting accenting the strong background music. The puzzles were difficult but fair, and the sense of accomplishment created true highs. But between glitches and faulty control schemes, I found the game impossible to complete, and that makes it hard to recommend.

As I progressed, I began to care less and less about Tom, his old crew and his plight. Which is a crying shame considering the opening of the game felt like the writer and developers reaching out and grabbing me by the throat. Discovering alien artefacts and cave systems initially perked me up, but the rinse and repeat nature of obtaining these upgrades wore me down.

It’s a poignant story with beautiful visuals and intricate puzzles, but your enjoyment will depend very much on your temperament. The Switch version is the pick for newcomers, though it’s hard to recommend if you’ve already played on another platform. Provided you’re comfortable with its slow, cerebral pace and can overlook the stiff remnants of its influences, there is much to enjoy here.

The Way Remastered is another janky indie game with faux-retro pixel art that misses the point of pixel art. It looks and plays like it was made by amateurs or possibly by some cynical designers who ticked all their checkboxes on what generic indie games are. This is not the worst indie game made - far from it - but it is so bland and plain... so middle of the road and inoffensive, that it is devoid of soul.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. I just created a metacritic profile for the first time explicitly so I could leave a 10 out of 10 review for this game. It's more of an 8, or maybe 8.5. But it's definitely not a 6.

I realize- reading the previous reviews- that the version of the game that I played is perhaps a patched edition? I did not experience game breaking bugs in my playthrough.

I bought this game on sale in the Nintendo Store for about a buck fifty. It was a delight, and a steal. I have strong nostalgic memories of Another World that resonated in this game. Despite some, at times, odd audio-and-text dialogue, the story was compelling and immersive. And the puzzles were intermittently a breeze and challenging. I wouldn't call it a very difficult game, but there were a couple solid challenges. The world building, character design, music score, and overall style were each excellent. And I felt that from reading the other reviews, that the difficulty of Major Tom's controls/movements is greatly exaggerated. I found the game smooth. Plentiful save points balanced out easy and often accidental deaths, which were also often comical.

I would recommend this game to anyone. And I hope we learn more about the two characters at the end of the story that appear briefly in future games released by these developers.

This game is a roller coaster of emotions. First of all the game looks stunning, it's detailed 16 bit art style will have you just staring and taking in the levels because of how georgous it is. It's clearly inspired by games like Another World which I personally don't have a problem with. The games story will have you interested and gripped from the start as it's so interesting. The characters also have great development and make you really feel for them. Puzzle wise, it's mainly fairly simple puzzles but sometimes it can be frustrating but a simple YouTube search will solve that. The only bad thing about this game is that sometimes the controls can be a little frustrating in some puzzles like the mirror shield (I think it's called that).
This is easily one of my favourite games and I highly recommend you check this out. The best £1 I've ever spent.
