    This is by far the greatest game I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Most of the people rating it 0 played for 5 minutes and decided to hate it because it doesn’t run like games designed for supercomputers. This is definitely a must for anyone who enjoys good video games

    Understandable that the game is a copy and paste to BOTW. However, TOTK has many hours of enjoyment and challenge. Soaring the skies above Hyrule or exploring the under dark depths, you will definitely put long hours into this game. I'm 80 + hours in the game with most main quest finished; I just can't put the game down.

    Of course, this game has flaws, but from my experience the state that the game is in was better compared to most triple A video games. Some framerate issues rarely occur but they are not game breaking. As TOTK, builds upon its predecessor in gameplay the storytelling is about the same but has different elements to continue the lore from BOTW. It will be interesting to see where future Zelda games go from here.

    TOTK for me is 10 out of 10. For being a magnificent game in terms of gameplay and building upon the storyline. Not to mention the building mechanic of fanplanes, hovercrafts or even a tank to eliminate Bokoblins or Hinox. Definitely a game I would recommend playing.    … Expand

    ci sono tantissime cose da fare con altrettanti modi per farle o risolvere gli enigmi presenti, mappa veramente enorme rispetto allo scorso zalda (botw). 10/10

    The slightly cell shaded style of breath of the wild shines through in this game as well as new designs for enemies to make them not look as samey. Music wise there are a lot of standout tracks and not a single track where I was like meh.

    The performance of the game is really what holds it back from being scored anywhere above an 8.5 the game does a great job of managing the performance issues however there are certain parts of the game where it's not ignorable and begins to chug a bit. But a majority of the game is stable enough to land it at least 1 star.

    The challenge within the game feels like it's much more balanced then botw where in that game after like a handful of shrines pretty much most enemies other than guardians are kinda just cannon fodder as most higher tier enemies are locked behind divine beasts and they don't show up in divine beasts so you could almost never see those harder enemies. In totk it is definitely a challenging game if you don't prepare properly for an engagement, however with some many tools to deal with the many problems you will face within the kingdom of Hyrule it is a very good strength of this game in my opinion.    … Expand

Any complaint I've seen can pretty much be said about any other Zelda game to one another, because its a gameplay loop that defines the series. going to the three/four regions to collect the power things or whatever to defeat ganon/ganondorf/whoever. a lot of people will say "as a Zelda fan..." and then talk about theirPeople need to look up what a sequel is before playing this game. While I'm not denying that you can be a Zelda fan just by playing that one game, it sure does make it hard for some people to be retrospective on a series they've literally played a single entry to (and the most recent one at that). if you're going to play this game i have a couple things you shouyld do beforehand: 1) stop playing breath of the wild - TOTK is a massively expanded upon version of BOTW, and what I've seen is most people playing TOTK with the same gameplay style as BOTW and then complain how its just like BOTW. 2) play literally any other Zelda game first - you'll get a hang of the typical set up this series has and loops it throws you into (you may still complain that they're all too similar, but if so, maybe you actually just don't like Zelda?) and 3) just play the game. games are a lot harder to get into and to have fun with when you're constantly trying to compare the game to something else.

    I think there is not much to say to this masterpiece. It’s just perfect. I‘ve never been moved by a game this much in my life and for that reason and it’s spectacular world, design and story, i can only give it the highest Rating there is.

This game really redifines what a sequel is without making Breath of the Wild obsolete. It has so much personality, interesting game mechanics and a huge world to explore. You can decide how and when to attack enemies, come up with interesting strategies that allow for player expression like never before in a video game. it would have been a 10/10 if not for the common technical issues like frame drops and resolution dropping significantly but it doesn't interfere with the gameplay too much. However as good as this game is, I have to warn players that disliked Breath of the Wild. This game is pretty similar in terms of gameplay and if you hated BOTW you're going to hate TOTK too.… Expand

    This game is Botw, but ten times better. The map is more than twice as large as the one in Botw, and the new mechanics never get old. Definitely worth the 70 dollars.

    Altough some of the Bosses could be better all the new abilities make this game a completly new Zelda game. Many people say that Totk is just an DLC and i understand that but with the addition of the dephts and the sky it's a new and fresh experience. The best thing in the game in my opinion is... The controls take some getting used to but if you are familiar with the previous game then after the first 10 hours or so you should be fine.     This game takes a world that was beautiful to explore and an awesome gameplay despite graphics, and made it better. This new story almost made me cry and i haven't finished it yet, the new gameplay give us even more options to deal with every situation and you can get lost easily with secondary missions or not doing any mission at all. Although I’ve poured 90+ hours into this game, I am joyous and amazed to say that I keep finding newer things every day and it is such a relieving experience! This game is definitely a masterpiece of the masterpieces, a game that would never be topped. This game, although it costs $60 on Amazon, is totally worth every cent. When I first started the game, I was amazed by the complexity and beauty of everything. The new Constructs were beautifully designed, the new horns of the enemies fit them so well! (My personal favorites are the silver Lizalfos and silver Lynel horns.) The new abilities are, what me and my friends call ‘Runes on Steroids’ because of their usages and similarities. Then there are the Depths. Whoo! How did Nintendo hide this much of a secret without it getting leaked? All in all, I could rant about this game for hours on end, but I’m much too tired right now, but this game, of course is a 10/10 must-play for me and you should buy it!… Expand

    An absolute essential. This game, for lack of a better term, is a game changer. I have already doubled the amount of hours played compared to BotW. I was concerned about how well it would run on a basically 10 year old system, but Holy cow, this blew my expectations out of the water.
    $70 is more than fair. 10/10 masterpiece, essential.

    As soon as you start the game, you are placed into an extremely well designed tutorial section. In my opinion it tops the tutorial from breath of the wild (which is quite the challenge). As you progress through the game you are constantly shown things to do, whether it’s finding a new chasm, or a fallen boulder to recall and many more.     The best game I've ever played, even it uses some mechanics of Breath of the Wild and base map for the world, it has been completely built from the ground up as completely different, but also awesome game. If you want to go for a great adventure this is your best choice in 2023!

I am 180 hours into the game and I havent even came close to seeing all there is to see. Ultrahand, and fuse change everything. Ultrahand allows you to build virtually anything that you can think of.IGNORE BAD REVIEWS. Fuse completely changes the combat system and fixes the flaw from breath of the wild where killing enemies doesn’t feel rewarding and actually just hurts you because you wasted your weapons on them without getting much out of it. But now you get TONS of materials from killing enemies and more weapons because you can fuse the monster parts they dropped to make a new great weapon! Or, you dont even have to use your weapons on them and you can just build a death machine with ultrahand. This game is truly amazing. It is worth the 70$.… Expand

    Tudo bem não gostar de Zelda, é do gosto de cada um. Eu mesmo não gosto de jogos souls-like e to ok com isso, mas não saio por aí dando hate em algo que pra muita gente significa muito.
    No entanto não faz sentido desmerecer ou superestimar uma franquia nos seus já 37 anos de existência só pq ela desbancou seu joguinho favorito. Nota 0?     Objectively the peak of Nintendo. TotK shows up a lot of open world games, and even makes BotW look like a Demo. TotK is 3 times the size, and 100s of times more complex than it's near perfect predecessor.

    Nintendo caught lightning in a bottle twice.

    Si bien Zelda BOTW siendo todo un juegazo a pesar de alguna que otra carencia por su mundo abierto, con Zelda TOTK no sólo cambiaron un par de cosas sino que mejoraron la experiencia, con nuevas rutas, crafteo, enemigos y demás. Juego imprescindible de disfrutar.

    If you care about gameplay over everything else this is an excellent pick. The open world is better with more actually interesting things in it and fast travel/air travel adds a much needed QOL feature. The new fuse and physis mechanics are unique, varied and consistently fun. Temple puzzles    A vastly improved BOTW only slightly held back by the lack of music and switch graphics.

    If you care about gameplay over everything else this is an excellent pick.

    Nach 240 Stunden habe ich Tears of the Kingdom durchgespielt und bin einfach hin und weg.
    BotW war bereits ein Meisterwerk, Totk legt nochmal überall einen drauf während es die Schwächen des Vorgängers ausmerzt.

    It plays very similar to botw but it feels like they took the creative freedom you wish you had and gave it to you. I don't care for how almost 1-1 it is in little things. For example, the cooking visuals and sounds are the exact same as in botw. But the new things so far make up for it enough

The "old" map of Hyrule has so many changes and additions that it cannot be considered "the same map as BotW". The weapon system is meh if you only use default weapons but it offers A LOT of possibilities with the fuse ability and the durability system makes you try new combinations veryBotW but 3 times bigger. The new abilities are fun to use but not as useful as the old ones in BotW. The "old" map of Hyrule has so many changes and additions that it cannot be considered "the same map as BotW".     There is A lot to say about this game, its game-play, music and exploration. The building mechanics make your brain turn in to a 8 year old again with a new toy . Honestly, I have not experienced anything like this in recent years, not even Breath of the Wild made me feel this. Its obvious this game is going to take a long time to finish. I’m also not a giant fan of the abilities, seems a bit lazy and all the stuff in botw is gone. There’s no mention of what happened to the sheikah tech, like the big divine beasts are gone and that’s why this to me isn’t a sequel. Its a new game that’s been stapled with too many ideas, and to think they wanted this as a botw dlc?

    Because I knew this game was gonna take me ages to see the story, I saw the cutscenes online as that is the strength of these games since oot.
    Speaking of which this game they were really trying to make this like oot, but open world and on botw engine. So hardcore oot fans can calm down but it makes botw fans feel a bit lost. The mechanics from botw have got a tweak but I cannot stand the fuse ability. I miss the elemental arrows, and the prices of everything from botw have greatly increased here. Like I swear games are escapism from real world but the inflation jesus christ. Which brings me into this, because there’s so much to do in this game I am doing it at my own pace. I have a feeling dlc isn’t coming until next year and the next game is not going to be out on the switch.

    This game yes is fun but its very overwhelming whereas botw was pretty calm and felt like you were out taking a walk. Totk feels like I’m in the military and have to kill lots of enemies and get troops along the way. Seriously I’m going out irl to calm my head as its essentially pandoras box.    … Expand

    Well done Nintendo,you just can't beat Japanese originality,how they managed to build on beyond Breath of the Wild baffles me but they did.Try not to use youtube and guides if you can for extra wonder.Just an amazing game.Highly recommend

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In my 20 hours of playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, I have been taken aback. What I expected was a game that felt almost if not the exact same way as its predecessor Breath of the Wild. But no, I was wrong. When you first launch the game, it takes a whole different route than previous Zelda titles. It throws you into the game with Zelda exploring underneath the castle. That right there was a sign of what is to come. It showed that Nintendo was not afraid to try new things especially with a sequel. Now for the tutorial. There is only one word that I can describe the great sky islands. Linear. Compared to the great plateau, this starting area does not feel open. The reason why the great plateau was so loved was because of how many things you can already do on it. You can choose which shrine to go to first while on the great sky island, you can literally walk along a path that will lead you too all the shrines. Now for the enemies, same but new. Kind of hard to explain but everything feels more...challenging. Keeps you on your toes. The new boss enemies are amazing too. Time to wrap up. Tears of the Kingdom is an amazing game and I truly believe that this game will easily win Game of the Year.… Expand

    Hay 3 mapas grandes, aquí vuelven los santuarios lo único malo de estos es que, debido a la gran variedad de poderes puedes pasártelo por "trampas" por así decirlo y se pierde la esencia de resolver asertijos.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Breath of the Wild was my favorite game of all time, and this game just improved on it in every way. Better story, better options to move around the map, more stuff to do, this game has it all. The Fuse and Ultrahand abilities keep the game fresh, so every adventure or quest I go on feels unique. Plus the sheer amount of content in this game is insane. In BOTW there was quite a bit of empty space where there was just nothing going on. However, in TOTK, it feels like there’s always something going on wherever you go. The ground level itself feels so much more involved than in BOTW. There’s npcs all over the place to talk to and help out. The shrines seem a bit more sparing on the surface than in BOTW since they are split between the sky and the surface, but that’s made up for by everything else that there is on the surface. Ultrahand allows for some great quests and shrines that BOTW can’t even compare to. Your time will be well spent pretty much anywhere you go on the surface. And if you find yourself lost about what to do next, there’s always the sky islands and the depths. There’s literally always something to do in this game, and I don’t foresee myself 100%ing this game for months.… Expand

    I am a fan of The Legend of Zelda saga! This game continues what was seen in Breath of The Wild and takes it to a new level. As a fan, I picked up the Collector's Edition, which while not as good as Breath of The Wild Collector's Eiditon, is a beautiful collector's item.

    Regarding the game, everything improved! If you recently played the previous one, this one will make you feel like    I am a fan of The Legend of Zelda saga! This game continues what was seen in Breath of The Wild and takes it to a new level. I really hated the small weapon inventory and the way the weapons break. I could get on board with them breaking if they lasted a good deal longer before breaking, and had a way to refresh broken weapons. The building system makes this game absolutely fantastic and I could play for hours just running around and building contraptions. Nintendo has outdone themselves with this one, especially considering they made it using such a crappy console.… Expand

    An incredible new entry to the Zelda series. If you thought BoTW was a masterpiece (and you would be right), ToTK puts it at another level, for sure. The amount of things you can do is overwhelming, and even saying that is underwhelming compared to what you'll experience.

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
