    Easy the best game of the year, is the legend of zelda breath of the wild but renovated, a most interesant history and in my opinin explore the map is more interesant for breath of the wild (in breath of the wild is really interesintg) is a very good game and is the best game of the year veri easy :D.

    One of, if not my favourite game of all time. This game improves upon Breath of the Wild in every way. I only really have two gripes with the game. I dislike the fact that there is a ton of Rauru's blessing shrines, and lack of interesting sky islands to explore, and a low amount of them overall. Overall, this game is phenomenal

    The game is just amazing. It fixes pretty much all the bad points from botw and also improves on all the points that were previously good.
    After 130 hours of pure joy I finished the story today and my god was the ending good! In general, the story was actually much better.
    All in all just pure gold.

    One of the best games I have ever played. The world is full of content, and exploration feels rewarding. The game also has many puzzles, and the combat is also amazing. The only downside that I can think of is the story. It's good, but it's not great. It's the usual good vs evil, and I hoped they would try something different with Ganondorf.

    Es increíble lo que el team Zelda ha logrado con este juego y sobre todo en esta plataforma que es Nintendo Switc y todo lo que eso conlleva, incluyendo obviamente todas las limitaciones técnicas con las que cuenta la consola y su hardware que salió estando desfasadísimo en 2017. El juego es simplemente impresionante y digno del GOTY.

    This game simply took the previous installment, Breath of the Wild, and super sized every aspect while adding plenty of new ones to make this game fell boundless with what you can do.

    This game was the perfect sequel to BOTW. I have 210 hours on BOTW and already have 110 hours on TOTK. There is so much to do other than normal bread-n-butter side quests like Addison, Boss monsters, and well-delving. There are some familiar puzzles (Koroks!) but with completely new abilities. The temples do bring part of the old Zelda back but you have multiple ways of getting throughThis game was the perfect sequel to BOTW. I have 210 hours on BOTW and already have 110 hours on TOTK.     Totk is the closest thing to perfection gaming has ever come.
    The music is amazing and conveys so many emotions and feelings in just the perfect way. The visuals are amazing, considering the switch. The gameplay is amazingly fun and encourages the player to play the game however the player wants to. The story is also far more prevalent than in botw and it's great, and the way it's told is    Totk is the closest thing to perfection gaming has ever come.

    A complete improvement on botw. The game and all of its features are really fun to mess around with. I just feel like nintendo is missing out because the game would be much better if it was ran on a higher frame rate.

    This is a return to form for Nintendo after decades of mediocrity. BotW was great, but not very memorable. TotK was....mind blowing. The ending is amazing and made me feel like a kid again, beating ganon in LttP or OoT again. It captured that same feeling of awe and accomplishment that kid me had. I can’t wait to see we’re the Zelda series go next. At first I thought:nah this game is just botw with a few upgrades.But I was so wrong.It has the same Map as Botw but Totk got so many new content.New bosses, new characters and so much more. The underground and the sky are so good.The underground is underrated. The new creatures are also so cool, you won't be bored.Maybe the new bosses aren't as hard as the curses in botw but they are much more creative and cooler. The titans don't have the cool abilities as the titans in botw but they can fight with you on your side and the bosses and creatures react to them. The endboss is just perfect, Ganondorf is so cool and epic. All the phases are so good especially the third and fourth. He isn't so difficult but it's soooooooo epic. Buy this game!!!… Expand

You'll spend hours trying the zonai technology, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities to exploring the skies, surface and depths using your criativity. You'll have so much fun and feel like a trueA fresh Breath of the Wild version, but better. I definitely loved it. A direct sequel with a deeper story and lovely new characters.     I loved the game but, i see that doesn't have any explanation to search for the same korok seeds and the developers NEED to launch a correction patch about the FPS. On the battle in the Wind Temple and in the SkyIslands the game stays at 25FPS or minus, this is very sad, manly because is a Nintendo game. The Nintendo developers doesn't know how to make their games with 60FPS or in minimumI loved the game but, i see that doesn't have any explanation to search for the same korok seeds and the developers NEED to launch a correction patch about the FPS. Sad, very sad but, the new mechanics are incredible, the graphics are the same thing of the BOTW because its a direct continuation and the guys that are complaining about the graphics, the Majora's Mask game have the same graphics comparing with Ocarina of Time and it is beautiful. The technique of CEL SHADING are very good because is a cartoon game and, it is a fantasy game, the game doesnt need to be a super realistic game, dont have nothing to complain about the graphics. And the guys that are complaining about the Why We Got WEAK, the game explained why we got weak in the start. You guys dont know how to read a text or listen a story? I think that the game copied the formula of "Divine Beasts". Is the same think comparing to the Temple's. I have something to complain, in the final, we return to the last save. The game is much better than Breath of the Wild simply due to the fact that you can make a flying machine and get around the climbing that you had to do in the BoTW. It is also much bigger and direct continuation from that game which is nice if you really liked BoTW. I did not even get the climbing gear this time around because the flying machine that you can make really makes exploration so much easier, I recommend to do the Fire Temple ASAP so you can unlock the rest of your abilities and get the companion that blows up the giant explodable rocks that you encounter alot in the multitude of caves and mines you explore.… Expand

    I started to play the game on the 75“ tv screen and its awful. After the 5 hour tutorial i switched to the handheld mode and i like it a lot more. Controls are sometimes clumsy and you need to walk/ ride a lot and a fable for exploring must be given. For me clearly not so good as the N64 Zeldas but not bad at all.

    I am constantly thinking about different methods to use, and have a level of excitement and enthusiasm for a game that I've only ever had a few times. I've been gaming since Pac-Man in the arcades and Donkey Kong on the Colecovision, and this game is already one of my favorite ways to spend time in front of the TV I've ever found.

    I have played BOTW the last year, and this sequel is one of the best game I have played in my life. I was thinking that RE 4 will be my Goty but now I can see that TOTK have improved a lot of things from the first game. I am totally sure that this is a game that you must play if you like open world with beautiful places and it’s melody is delicious. You have to play at least 1 hour to knowI have played BOTW the last year, and this sequel is one of the best game I have played in my life. I was thinking that RE 4 will be my Goty but now I can see that TOTK have improved a lot of things from the first game. I am totally sure that this is a game that you must play if you like open world with beautiful places and it’s melody is delicious.     O jogo é enorme e aproveita tudo que é entregue no BOTW, melhorou em relação ao anterior, mas convenhamos, estamos em 2023 pagando $70 em um jogo onde o frame rate é muito ruim em algumas partes dele, principalmente quando você está usando algumas habilidades. Na luta contra o chefe do domínio de Zora, cai muito forte. Outra melhoria necessária é que você precisa LER basicamente tudo o tempo todo como sempre fizemos em todos os jogos de Zelda, não há uma evolução considerável nesse sentido, não há vozes, também a dublagem em inglês durante as cenas é algo que poderia ser melhorar.     Wenn du BotW mochtest, wirst du TotK lieben! Eine sehr gute Erweiterung der Welt und der Fähigkeiten. Die Welt ist nicht langweilig geworden, auch wenn es fast die gleiche ist. Die Tempel sind ähnlich aber besser als in BotW und die Bosse dazu viel besser! Bin bei 135 Stunden und es geht weiter

    Most haters really just lack creativity to fulfil the full potential of this game, so many new mechanics have been added that make both traversal and combat that much more complex and entertaining, you can truly play however you want to.

    Another masterpiece from Nintendo. Somehow they were able to progress Breath of the Wild and go above and beyond for Tears of the Kingdom. A masterpiece game that should be played by anyone who enjoys video games.

    그리고 자유도 역시 최고다. 현존하는 AAA급 오픈월드 3D 액션 ARPG들 중에서는 자유도는 가히 젤다 왕눈이 1위다. 전투 타격감도 엄청 뛰어난 편이며 뭣보다 전투 방식이 진짜 재밌다.

    엄청 강력한 최강 보스몹들이 등장해서 나를 공격한다 하더라도 마치 영화 매트릭스를 보는듯이 적의 공격을 느리게 볼수있는 기술을 사용하면 적의 공격을 간파해서 피할수있다.(그대신 그 기술을 쓰면 나 자신의 움직임도 느려진다. 마치 영화 매트릭스처럼 말이다.) 그리고 적의 공격을 뒤로 점프해서 피하는 방식도 진짜 재밌고 그 점프와 동시에 적에게 순식간에 달려들어 연타 공격도 가능하다.

    특히 젤다 왕눈은 자유도가 진짜 뛰어나서 전투의 자유도마저 뛰어나다. 창의적이게 자유롭게 전투가 가능하다. 그냥 단순히 적과 싸우는 개념의 다른 오픈월드 3D 액션 ARPG들과는 차원이 틀리다.

    몇 가지 창의적인 재밌는 전투들을 예를 들자면 싸우다가 무기를 떨어트려서 무기를 다시 줍기위해 고개를 숙이는 몹에게 나뭇잎 파초선 부채로 날려서 지상으로 떨어트려버릴 수도있고,

    불부메랑 무기를 만들어서 적에게 폭탄이 있는 곳으로 유인해서 불부메랑을 이누야샤의 비뢰골처럼 폭탄에 던져서 그 주변에 몹들을 전부 다 폭사시키거나 불태우는 것도 가능하며,

    방패에 로켓을 장착해서 '날아라 슈퍼보드'처럼 방패를 타고 날아다니는 것도 가능하다. (단순히 우주선처럼 하늘 위로 올라가는 것도 가능하지만 옆으로 날아가는 것도 가능하다.)

    또한 전투기나 비행기를 만들어서 날아가다가 하늘섬에 있는 몹들을 발견해서 몹의 화살을 방패로 막거나 피한 후에 전투기의 미사일로 몹들을 공격하는 것도 가능하다.

    그리고 윙건담처럼 로봇을 만들거나 전차를 만들어서 몹들을 깔아뭉개거나 밀어버리거나 공격도 가능하다.

    이처럼 전투 방식이 단순히 칼, 창, 활 등으로만 공격하는게 아니라 그냥 맵에 있는 '모든 것'들을 이용해서 다 자유롭게 공격이 가능한 것이다. 창의적이게 아이디어를 짜내면 전세계에서 나밖에 없는 무기로, 나밖에 쓰지 않는 전술 병법으로 적을 공격할수도있는게 강점이다.

    뭣보다 록 온(Lock-on) 시스템이 기가 막히게 잘돼있다. 근데 이는 당연한 것이 게임계 세계최초로 '록 온'이라는 전투 시스템을 발명한 것이 다름아닌 '젤다의전설 시간의 오카리나' 였기 때문에 록 온의 원조인 젤다의전설이 록 온 시스템의 고수인 것이다.

    그런데 젤다 왕눈은 단순히 전투 타격감, 자유도만으로도 설명이 불가능할 정도로 진짜 게임 자체가 완성도가 뛰어나다. 그냥 해보면 안다. 백문이 불여일견! 해봐라!    … Expand

    After Playing this game for 10 hours I can say, that this ISN'T DLC, a GOOD STORY and A LOT OF NEW MECHANICS make this game better than Zelda BOTK with this said I can say that this game, isn't a normal game, IT'S THE PERFECT SEQUEL FOR THE BEST GAME EVER. If you Like Video games it's a must play.

    I hate nintendo more than any other company, but i love great games more. it really pisses me off when such a scummy company makes great games. Mechanics are great, enemies are super fun to mess around with, pretty decent story. 9/10 because of graphics, don't really mind frames in game personally.

It’s clear to me that many of these people either have not played the game and have no intention of playing it, or they haven’t played enough of it. Now, I understand the legitimate concerns. I also understand that if you didn’t like breath of the wild, this probably won’t be your cup of tea either, as it largely seems to use many of the same design philosophies. What I can’t understand is people calling this game lazy. Nintendo is many things, but one thing they are not—lazy developers, especially when it comes to their big IPs. From what I’ve come to understand, the radical shift to the Zelda formula found in BOTW wasn’t necessarily a result of the fans getting tired of the Zelda formula (though many were at the time), but rather it was the developers at Nintendo who got sick of the Zelda formula. Breath of the wild was a passion project and I could feel their passion as I played it. I feel that same passion again in this game as I explore the sky islands, the depths, the caves, and so much more that the developers have lovingly created for us. I was concerned about this game having a substantial amount of new content above what breath of the wild had. I was afraid that the game would be like “DLC”. But as the game was approaching release I realized that even if the game was just glorified DLC, and even if the biggest thing it accomplished would be to give me a new perspective of this Hyrule that I fell in love with in BOTW, I would be happy. So far, I am happy to report that Tears of the Kingdom has gone above and beyond that mark for me and has created a unique experience that I am really enjoying. Frankly, the amount of new content is a bit overwhelming even!

    It seems hasty to me that there are some giving a game of this scope a 0/10 the day after it comes out. This game might take 50-100 hours to appreciate all that it has to offer. And even after completion, it takes serious reflection to consider the effect of a game like this. I’m all for people having their own opinions, but I’m not as happy when I see people make hasty generalizations and parrot what they have seen or heard from others around them. This game deserves more critical thinking. So far, I’m loving this game. I haven’t had nearly enough time to form a true opinion about it, and I will change my score if my feelings on the game change. But for now 10/10, great game.    … Expand

    I loved Breath of the Wild and when it comes to Tears of the Kingdom it does everything Breath of the Wild did but better! There is so many powers, equipment to be found everywhere. This game is a lot rewarding when it comes to exploration. Also there is so many things to do it kind of overwelmingly fun!

Probably the most impressive thing about this game in my opinion is just that you are trying to solve a problem with the new mechanics of the Game or you just have an idea in your head trying to implement it and you just know that it will work because in this game everything just works.. everything works together so naturally. It's just amazing how smoth the game features blend in together. If you really liked breath of the wild as a game, how it worked and the exploring of the world, then I promise you will love tears of the kingdom just as much, if not more. And if you're worried that the map will feel too similar to breath of the wild, then I can tell you from my experienced, for me it was like playing a whole new game no matter what layer of the map I was on, whether it was Sky Island or on Hyrule itself.
    In conclusion, I can say that I enjoyed the game like no other game before. Everyone has to know for themselves what kind of game they enjoy the most but I can really recommend this game to anyone who really liked breath of the wild. They also added dungeons back which was obviously exciting for many (Myself included). The bosses being more diverse rather than fighting blight ganons.     This game is huge and even better than BotW, I don't even see the point of playing BotW anymore when you have this vastly and improved game with 3 maps. It has story, and the gameplay is just great, not just exploring, but also the mechanics and the ability to create whatever comes to your mind using the resources that they give you. It's fun to see other people creations and using imagination

    My initial review of this game was based on the starting content of Tears of the Kingdom which is a definite improvement on the previous title. That said, my score is 8 because the gameplay mechanics are phenomenal; this is best gameplay I've experienced, but I need to talk about the game's faults because they're really bad.

    1) The worst offense this game makes is that which all media and culture should strive to avoid: numbness of emotions.

    In a story about the impending end of the world because the Demon King had be reborn, his minions mustering their might, and all the peoples of the world fighting for their lives the story chooses revolve around archeology into an ancient people who were so hedonistic that they didn't even create art. The Zonai are not master warriors, nor mystical wizards, they were lazy people who had their every need looked after by robots... In a game when the main villain is not famine, overwork, or disease, but a war. The Zonai were undone because they were lazy and didn't heed the warnings of people far more knowledgeable of the current threat that they needed to prepare for war. It turns out the people of the current time were far more suited to combating the threat than the Zonai were because all the current time people are warriors.

    I stepped into this game thinking the Zonai were mystical god-warriors, but what I found was that the Zonai were boring. Nobody in the current time of the story could use anything to fix their current ailments from the Zonai; because their problems aren't automation related. They don't need to relax; they need to stand and fight, but they're already capable. So why do the game's people take such interest in this lazy forgettable culture? Everything is a dull lime green or white with the Zonai and everything is either a robot or a gadet; they had no culture. Their history was frolicking in the gardens... How are a people staring down the very reincarnation of death supposed to be so enthralled about that they forgo fighting for their lives?

    2) You get followers in this game that have unique abilities, but for some ungodly reason activating it is the same button you use to interact with objects in the world. Yes, I rank this as almost as high as total tone deafness, because in this game items you get from slaying enemies is EVERYTHING. You cannot fight in this game unless you pick up enemy drops. How does this matter, well not to spoil anything, but a few of the followers you get have extremely useful abilities... That so happen to destroy or remove the very items that are the only way to progress in the game. Additionally, these followers decide that they just NEED to walk straight into you every single second of the day. You cannot interact with the world if these followers are following you. You literally have to desummon your followers, which is locked behind a massive menu, in order to be able to pick things up without destroying them. You wouldn't think this would be the most fun destroying thing ever, but in this game, when enemy items are literally your only method of survival, it gets really old really quick.

    Alright, so I've talked about the game's downsides, let me talk about what this game does well:
    -If you see something interesting, go to it. You'll get a reward. Not a unique reward, but a guaranteed reward of some sort.
    -This game is so good at basic exploration, I say basic because oh my god does it fall flat on environmental story telling- the last game was excellent at it by the way, that you can mark an objective and not reach it for several real-world days. Saying this game is full of things to discover doesn't do it justice. There is only discovery in this game, but it's going to be of the same bland things: re-spawning resource nodes, golden poop, and golden orbs. That's it.
    -Combat. Surprisingly, this game's combat is actually really good if you try to exploit it. The whole game's premise is that you should try to cheat... And cheating the combat is REALLY fun. Actual cheats are being patched out, so technically, if you find a nifty work around that makes the game more fun, and the combat more exciting, it's technically intended, but it feels like cheating and it's a great feeling.
    -Puzzles. Again, the whole game is built around cheating around the game's challenges, so feel free to try to cheat through the game. That's what it's made for, and holy cow does it deliver. These puzzles are the best puzzles in gaming... And that's WITH "cheating," because nothing's truly cheating unless it's patched out. They've understood their own systems VERY well, and have balanced things so that you have to learn a new "cheat" to get through the game when it's time to learn.    … Expand

    Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is literally the best game I have ever played. It improves every aspect of Breath of the Wild, and even though I haven't finished the game yet, the 30+ hours I have played are by far the best experience I've had

    I feel like when I started pokemon gold and silver. Same formula as blue and red, same feeling of known environment. but wayyyy better. More content. More land. More enemies. More possibilities, even some sandbox games don't allow that much liberty it's insane. I played botw, but this is in every way something new. 10/10    … Expand

    The best game to come out in recent memory as far as I'm concerned, bar none. They changed the world enough to make it interesting to explore again but not so much that it felt alien coming off of Breath of the Wild. The new mechanics are excellent and allow for crazy amounts of creativity when it comes to solving puzzles.     Es emocionante cuando encuentras un juego y te enganchas. Dan muchas ganas de pasear por todo el mapa y apreciar cada detalle. No es un juego perfecto, pero tiene mucha magia y eso lo hace especial.

    Those complaining about the cost versus having "the same map" have either not really given it a try or have grossly underestimated the gigantic amount of time and content put into this game.

    This game is a beast and I can already tell it would take 200 hours to truly find and do everything. 9/10 only because the frame rate issues are inexcusable.     There is nothing special about this game but it's done really well - game design is solid and polished. It's still interesting to move around the world and just explore areas, craft something etc.
    The story and dialogs are still like from ~2001-2003 ps2 games but it's not that horrible because of the fun gameplay.

    I enjoyed the previous opus but was still frustrated with some of its aspects (endurance, climbing, breakable weapons) and was sceptical about Nintendo being able to do better via a sequel. And well, what a masterpiece there, every single aspect I was frustrated about has been reworked/twisted.     Graphics are what they are due to hardware limitations but I met not one single bug and it globally runs smooth.
    The story I thought at first was less intense than BOTW proves itself to be a least on the same heights at last. The world is coherent, musics are neat and well designed/ timed.
    The only "cons" may be the main story bosses which are way too easy and not much of a challenge compared to BOTW's ones.
    This one of the rare game which left me with somewhat of a feeling of emptiness after the ending and that is a sign of greatness for me.    … Expand

    I wasn't sure how Nintendo would find a way to top their work in Breath of the Wild back when it came out, but I feel they have here – with years of more polish applied and refined exploration. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 71]

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
