    A masterpiece of a game and a must-buy for any switch owners. The game gives you unlimited freedom, with you being able to go to the final boss straight away if you wanted to. The world never feels dull, small or empty, making the map very fun to explore. The story can feel a little lacking at times, but is sort of bittersweet and has a good plot.
    10/10.

    The world design of the game is amazing, you discover new things wherever you go.a game that doesn't limit you.The story is classic, but you immerse yourself in the atmosphere and the story as you follow the story in the world of the game.

    Le plus bel open world créé du moins pour le moment, le jeu procure tellement d’émotion et est tellement addictif, on y pense toute la journée. Le game play est parfait, le jeu est beau, le scénario est parfait. Un énorme monde ouvert avec tous ces sanctuaires et tours. Beaucoup de quêtes annexe et un dlc superbe.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE this game and deserves the praise it gets if not more. If you haven't played this yet please go buy a switch or even a Wii U to play this. It is an adventure of a lifetime and I have squeezed over 230 hours into this game and plan on many hours to come. The gameplay is fun, the story is so cool and the game gives you what feels like endless options to mess around with. ILOVE LOVE LOVE this game and deserves the praise it gets if not more.     This game is the best game to ever exist. It isn‘t that story based like other games from the franchise, but I don‘t really care. The story of the game is basically you discovering Hyrule. Can‘t wait until Tears of the Kingdom comes out.

    This game is great, I've beaten the final boss and gotten every shrine 4 times, 500-ish hours, I was so entranced with the endgame the 1st time I was playing that I nearly missed the Great American Eclipse after taking a train all the way to Charleston. Who knows, I may do the same seeing the next two eclipses with Tears of the Kingdom.

    Simply Amazing. Nuff said. This is the best game I've played in this entire generation of hardware. The game is beautiful, combat is fun, the shrines have been delightful- I'm very, very impressed.

    Initially I didn't get this game and was struggling to know what to do how to do it, i was completely lost (about 15hrs in). I then read a review that basically said you just need to forget the conventions of a normal video game and just go exploring. I jumped back in with this mindset and my word what a journey I carved out for myself, 200+ hrs later and my greatest game of all time amazing!

    Las 150 horas que lo jugue me parecio un gran conservando lo mejor de la francia.
    Tiene demasiadas misiones secundarias lo cual hace que siempre haya que hacer y ni hablar de su historia principal que para mi ha sido de las mejores el hecho de poder visitar santuarios, derrotar a muchos enemigos y rescatar el reino de hyrule ha sido lo mejor.
    Espero con ansias la secuela!

    Enough has been said about the game! I just came to say +1 to how you need to play it, even if it is not your kind of game. If you have an open mindset you will surely enjoy it! For me it has the best open world experience of any game, it was the first time I would just roam around Hyrule and just enjoyed exploring every part of the map.

    This game is unlike any experience I’ve had up until this point. I played this game a few years ago, dropped it, and picked it up again. I have t even fully beaten the game yet, but I already know that this game is amazing and worthy of a 10/10. The world is so huge, yet looks so good despite being on the switch for its entire life. This game’s aesthetic and graphics looks miles better above other open world games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Sonic Frontiers that came out nearly 6 years after this game came out. The combat system is also so fleshed out! The staffs are so fun, and the runes are the cherry on top of this giant $100,000 MrBeast golden banana sundae. I’m exited for the sequel as it fixing my main issues with the game with the new runes. It fixes the item durability, and scaling giant mountains that take 5 years to climb. Although rain sucks though. I hate the rain. All my homies hate the rain. Also, shrine are great, but I hate some of these like the dueling peaks shrines. I hated them. I also hate the fact that you can’t max out both stamina and hearts without glitches. This just gives people FOMO on whichever stat you don’t max out. Other than those issues, 11/10

    Edit: so now, I’ve finished the game. I’m working on %100ing this game, but it’s kinda hard because of the koroks. Koroks are pretty useful early on when you could trade them in for inventory spaces, and hetsu’s gift is pretty funny, but it’s kinda just a waste of time getting all of the koroks. I also bought the DLC, and yeah, it’s pretty fun and heart warming. I still stand by my rating, even after I completed the game.    … Expand

It was the case for me as well and I tried to play it twice and gave it up after a few hours because I just didn't know what to do. The story is OK if you compare it with other storied-based 3A games. However, after I followed the walkthrough videos for the third time, I started to love the game.     A video game in its absolute purest form. Incredibly immersive with amazing exploration and sheer freedom for the player to have fun however they see fit. Without the perfect music, atmosphere, art style, and combat, this would still be one of the greatest games ever made due to its masterful approach to open-world game design. Nintendo solidifies themselves as the best once again.

    I play on par with the Zelda franchise. Fantastic game play, a very good story and with side quests that do not hinder the story, undoubtedly one of the best games of the Zelda franchise ever made. The DLC is actually pretty good and adds great hours to the game.

In my opinion, it's the first game since Super Mario Galaxy to capture that magical great-game feeling where it's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is, but you can tell when it's there. The open world is brilliant and profound. The writing is amazing, with great characters and a narrative that you can look deeper into if you want, reading everyone's journals and unlocking Link's memories, or almost entirely skip over, and just have a blast in the amazing world Nintendo has crafted with this game. The art style is gorgeous. (just look at that grass!) The combat is deep and satisfying. Boss fights are engaging. An astounding amount of player creativity is available. Game structure is incredible. I'm not even a huge fan of open-world games, but this game absolutely took me. And it lives up to its name: it truly feels like a breath of the wild.

    10/10. If you were hesitating on buying this game because you aren't a huge open-world or Zelda fan, don't. This game is a masterpiece and you should play it now.    … Expand

The combat is some of the best I have ever seen in a video game before, and it feels very rewarding to fight bigger and better monsters and receive a multitude of different weapons to do it with. The bosses and divine beasts are very creative, and the vast amount of armor and outfits are amazing, not only because of the armor aspect, but they look beautiful and very detailed. Finally, the story, which isn't a huge part of the game, and is sort of light, if you look into it, it is very beautifully put together and fits perfectly with Link losing his memories. I just hope that Nintendo can fit the same experience they gave us with this game into Tears of the Kingdom. Keep it up, Nintendo.… Expand

    Without a doubt the best game I ever played for the last four years. Simply immaculate, the only thing I could see topping this is Tears of the Kingdom, and I will be a very happy man if that comes true.

    The game that brought me back to Nintendo quicker than jumping out of a boat for a scuba excursion. This game, if you haven’t played it, is a must. If you have played and beat it, it’s worth doing again. The playable is huge, and TotK is only going to expand on that. BotW is breathtaking.

    This is the best game that i've ever played, the history is good, but it could be better, but the way the story is told it's good, and the map is very big and there are many incentives to explore it.
    But the best thing is the freedom to explore the map, do the missions, the principal story or any thing that you could think to do in this game

    Where it takes mechanics from others in the industry, it improves upon them; where it introduces new ones, you slap your forehead in amazement that it hasn’t been done before. Breath of the Wild is development done right, and damn near the best game you’ll play all year.
