Nov 1, 2021Super Mario Odyssey is breathtaking. I truly had no words while playing it. Everything about it is remarkable. This is peak level design and gameplay. Everything flows in a way that is hard to describe unless it is played. Do yourself a favor and play it.

Aug 30, 2019It's been over 2 years since Switch came out and this is still the best Nintendo game for Switch for me. Mario is really funny, boss fights are fair and sense of exploration is awesome. Riding J in the desert has been so much fun.

Jun 18, 2023even though galaxy is better odyssey build the foundation and made it bigger even though it has slight misteps it isn't as creative as super mario galaxy 2 but still the game has big worlds and alot of fun gameplay sections and designs

Jan 22, 2018The tight controls and open world game play makes Super Mario Odyssey a blast to play. On top of that, the graphics make this game gorgeous to look at. It's not as good as Galaxy 2, but it still a fun game from beginning to end.

Dec 3, 2024While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

CD-ActionJan 10, 2018The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]

Nintendo Force MagazineJan 7, 2018Perhaps no past Mario game has ever elicited so many smiles as this, and even if every other winning aspect of its design were set aside, that reality alone would make it a masterpiece. [Issue #31 – January/February 2018, p. 39E]
