Super Mario Odyssey is an incredible video game that is sure to delight players of all ages. From the moment you begin playing, you will be swept away by the game's vibrant and colorful graphics, whimsical characters, and captivating storyline. This game is a true masterpiece, and it is easy to see why it has received such high critical acclaim.

One of the standout features of Super Mario Odyssey is the game's open world design. Unlike many other platformers, Super Mario Odyssey offers players a massive world to explore, filled with secrets and surprises around every corner. The game's environments are beautifully designed, and the levels are crafted with care, ensuring that every area feels unique and exciting.

Another major highlight of Super Mario Odyssey is the game's inventive and diverse gameplay mechanics. Mario has a variety of new abilities at his disposal, such as the ability to throw his hat and capture enemies, which adds a whole new level of strategy and complexity to the gameplay. The game also features a wide variety of challenges, from classic platforming sections to puzzle-solving sequences that require players to think creatively and use all of Mario's abilities.

In addition to its fantastic gameplay, Super Mario Odyssey also features an unforgettable soundtrack. From the game's upbeat main theme to its more somber, reflective moments, the music perfectly captures the mood of each level and adds an extra layer of immersion to the overall experience.

Overall, Super Mario Odyssey is a fantastic video game that should not be missed. It is a true testament to the creativity and innovation of the Mario franchise, and it is a shining example of how great game design can elevate a simple platformer into a work of art. Whether you are a longtime Mario fan or a newcomer to the series, Super Mario Odyssey is an absolute must-play game that will keep you entertained for hours on end.

Great fun. Definitely one of the best games and probably my favourite mario platformer. Music's great. Bosses are a bit easy sometimes but it's hard to not love everything about this game. The new donk city level could be expanded into a whole game with the amount of ideas it introduces. Just go play it.

Boring and overrated sandbox game, one of the worst Mario game I ever played. Some solutions are really fun, but only for while. If you want great 3D Mario game check 3D All Stars or Bowser's Fury addition to 3D World (and 3D World is much much better than this crap).

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wasn't sure how a 3D mario game could get any better. The bar was already set so high but every new kingdom I explored just made the game even better. The core story is paced very tightly while still leaving plenty of room for side exploration and new discoveries to be made. Mechanics are finely tuned and superior to all other 3D Mario games I've played and the worlds to explore are simply unmatched.

Just when I thought of something they could do to improve the game, I discover something so much better than what I thought of and I'm having fun collecting hidden moons long after I've completed the core game. What really is the icing on the cake however is the overall celebration he game delivers for Mario as a franchise. Returning to N64-inspired Peach's castle and completing quests really completes the experience makes this game the ultimate Mario celebration game in my book.

If you're a long-standing Nintendo/Mario fan, you'll eat this up. If not, you'll probably enjoy the pure fun the game brings to the table anyway.

It felt boring, and bland. How could something so epic be something so boring and bland? After many years after trying to replay the game, I tried out something different. As after my first time beating Odyssey, I attempted to find as many stars as possible, making all the fun and interest in the world go to waste. I learned that in order to enjoy Odyssey again, I should explore at my own pace. I started to move on to different worlds once I wondered around. And you know what, it worked. I never had as much fun in Odyssey, until I started to learn to enjoy the game. And once I finished it, it really did make me glad I finished it. Odyssey is such a unique game. The amount of style is unmatched. While Odyssey is not my favorite Mario game, it sure is one of the best. You just need to learn to enjoy the game. Only three things I can complain about are simply the game being easy, that there should be more to do after the game ends, and that the story does not grab me as other games such as Super Mario Galaxy did. Mario Odyssey is just another example of how unique the 3d Mario games are. The only thing to note is that in order to enjoy the game, you need to enjoy the game! Not overwhelmingly focused on getting the moons and beating the game as fast as possible. Playing Odyssey reminded me that you need to see games like you were a kid again, not focused on all of the challenges, but by letting your curiosity go on. Expand

While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]
