    Spyro: Reignited Trilogy lives on contrasts. We can be Spyro whenever we want with the portability and a lot of content to experience with a great control system. But also we cannot deny that the portability was payed with lot of technical compromises, that weren’t even enough to give the game a constant fluidity. Perhaps it’s only to those who have only Switch as a current-gen console.

    Spyro Reignited Trilogy might be noticeably worse on Nintendo Switch compared to the other versions of the game, but the port is still mighty impressive overall. If you value portable gaming, there is nothing to consider; this is the version to get. But if you mainly plan to play on the TV and have a Playstation 4 or Xbox One, you will get a better experience on those consoles.

    Rather disappointing on the Switch. Visually it’s a pretty game, but detail does feel sharper whilst in handheld. It’s still lovely to look at whilst you’re playing docked, but it’s not as crisp. If it wasn’t for the problems with the control’s response time, I could easily play through the games again, however, if you’re only interested in playing for the portability factor, it’s still decent enough to take with you on your travels.
