Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is perfectly at home on Nintendo Switch, its gameplay fun and engaging for players both new and old. Although it has one or two minor issues, the overall experience is one highly recommended to anyone looking for a new game (or three) to sink their teeth into.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy brings three excellent classics from Capcom to the Switch and the games are highly recommended to those that have yet to play the series. The port itself could bring some improvements, therefore, long time fans might only be interested in this due to the convenience of replaying those classics in a modern platform.

Overall, the Switch port is almost everything I wanted in a new port. It runs and looks great almost all throughout and makes good use of the Switch hardware. I would’ve loved to see Capcom include some extras like trailers or galleries like the Mega Man ports. If you’ve never played these games before, you need to get them on Switch.

Ace Attorney remains one of my favorite franchises of all time, and I have loved the opportunity to play through the trilogy again on Switch. Though it lags a little in the middle with some less-than-stellar cases in the second game, the Ace Attorney Trilogy is still an incredible story with wonderful characters, memorable plots, and satisfying mysteries to solve. With little more than a new coat of paint, the Trilogy collection manages to be the perfect way to experience the story of Phoenix Wright whether you’re a rookie lawyer or a great ace attorney.

Despite feeling that this was a bit of a missed opportunity, the Phoenix Wright Trilogy on the Switch has now become my recommended way to experience this classic story thanks to its various quality of life updates and solid price point.

The title incorporates very ingenious mechanics on how to be a lawyer / detective in a video game, it has written unforgettable plots and characters and it is extremely intelligent in the use of the soundtrack and its silences. Your Honor, this game is excellent.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a satisfying collection of mysteries, many of which are still as sharp as when they were first published. Sure, certain aspects of these games feel a touch dated compared to some of the newer, edgier visual novels out there, but few can top Phoenix and friends when it comes to charm. This HD update is a bit barebones, but, overall, these classics are well-represented.

The Trilogy is as good as we remember it to be. there is nothing new in this collection, but newcomers will discover a true gaming gem and one of the industry's finest storytelling experiences.

Ultimately, despite its flaws as a remaster, Ace Attorney Trilogy is still the same set of phenomenal games it has ever been. Even after all this time, it’s easy to see how these games have influenced so many people so deeply. Newcomers will definitely feel frustration at some of the ways these titles have aged, but will surely exit with just as much of a full and rich experience as those who played them over a decade ago.

Three games that are as fresh and clever as the first time they released on the GBA. There's barely any improvement, and we lament the absence of a Spanish translation, but it is difficult to make an "objection" given the three games are finally releasing on every platform.

20 years after its first release, the Ace Attorney series reminds us how strong and unpredictable Shu Takumi's writing feels. With those linked three episodes, there is no reason not to enter the courtroom once again, even though Capcom could frankly have worked on some tiny options and bonuses to please the fans of old Nick.

Ace Attorney Trilogy is a modestly priced collection of thrilling adventures that highlight the best narrative arc in the series thus far. The writing is smart, the narrative is enthralling, and the characters are charming if not kooky. There’s a personal concern that the newer and cleaner art direction will put off some series purists and the cases can feel a bit slow in some parts, but otherwise, this is the best the series has ever looked and played and easily worth your attention.

The original Ace Attorney is – dare we say it – almost 20 years old, which is remarkable when you consider just how well it holds up 2019. Sure, it’s been ported plenty of times and the jump to Nintendo DS certainly helped shake off the retro cobwebs, but as a piece of interactive history, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is as utterly addictive and truly rewarding as it was back at the turn of the millennium. Whether you’re brand new to the world of virtual defence law or a veteran attorney, Phoenix Wright’s first adventures are still a fine set of cases to undertake.

This remaster is the most appealing version of the original trilogy as its entirely readapted to HD. Even though Capcom have done a vague adaptation — as it lacks of new functions such as dialogue history, it’s still a worthwhile entry though. Nintendo Switch turns out to be the best version overall.

It is a shame Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy doesn’t do anything special for today’s age of gaming, but everything that is done, is flawless. The graphics aren’t anything special, but they are crisp and get the job done. While I wish more were added, such as rotational storytelling, the franchise itself might need a possible reboot to better fit in with modern-day elements. Perhaps an open world-based game with visual storytelling elements like text at the bottom?

It's not the most adventurous of remasters, but there's a real charm to these games that's great for newcomers as well as fans revisiting the series.
