I think part of the problem for me is that I already know the story. I wouldn't watch the movies again, so I should have known I wouldn't want to walk through them in lego form. The writing in the game is actually better than the movies though, so that's a plus. But it's not exciting and the stories aren't riveting or anything like that. I find it kind of boring.

Fun game. The visual quality is alright, BUT the game has crashed on me multiple times in a few hours of play, twice in the first level (Episode 1, Trade Federation battleship) while trying to cut open a door in coop mode, and twice more when trying to change character!!! seriously. It also costs >20% more than on Steam which makes no sense to me

This game doesn't offer enough challenge:
It always shows clearly where to go next. The combats are way too easy. If anyhow death occurs, the consequent punishment is unnoticeable. The improvements one can buy for collectibles are completely useless because of the game's staggering low difficulty level.

Boredom installs itself rather quickly in this game despite its beautiful graphics, music from the films, quality voice acting and the funny jokes which don't exist in the movies.
Finally I recommend this game to little children to make them learn the usage of a controller and to Star Wars fans who might chuckle at a few of the jokes.

Had multiple crashes while playing in handheld mode on the switch. Played through and beat every episode averaging around 40-60% completion for them. Finished at around 400 kyber bricks in roughly 25 hours of gameplay. This game is undeniably bloated, but the bloat is full of wonderful references and enjoyable diaogue and characters. The love for star wars shines through in this game. ForHad multiple crashes while playing in handheld mode on the switch. For the actual game though it i trivially easy and simplistic, 1300+ kyber bricks was maybe a few too many. Leveling up is seemingly worthless I only leveled up my stud collection rate, character speed, and stud magnet levels. Expand

I anticipated this game very much, but it did not meet my expectations. The combat, graphics and the vastness of the game are great, but I didn't feel the "pull" towards it to progress after the first few episodes, since it just got boring after a while. There's a lot of unlockables, so much one can do, but I think that that takes away from the game because it provides the player with less direction. For example, there's a LOT of Kyber Bricks hidden across the galaxy, but there's not much point in getting them, since you just use them to upgrade characters or unlock more content. The content is cool to try out sometimes, but it just feels like there's too much in the game. Unlike the Gold Bricks in Complete Saga, there's not as much puzzle in trying to get Kyber Bricks-- you just need to have the right characters or a bit of speed and skill. You also don't need to find out what happens in the story since it's based on the movies. Overall, they definitely put a lot of work into this game, but there was nothing particularly special about it. Expand

    An overall enjoyable gameplay experience.

    Cons:
    - Huge amount of star wars movie adventure.
    - Funny Lego-style of story adaption
    - Impressive Boss fight.
    - Huge amount of playable content.

    Pros:
    - Horrible shooting and driving control on NS.
    - Some serious bugs during gameplay on 7-9.
    - Non-interesting collection system.

Horrible , overloaded menues , basic content like the Clone Wars characters as downloadable content for money, no character creation like in all other lego stae wars games before and performance problems downgrade this game so much it is not even fun to think about. Traveller's Tales has outdone themselves with this new LEGO Star Wars. Their attention to detail and wide variety of activities, coupled with the expansive environments, makes for a fun-filled return to that galaxy far, far away. [Issue #59 – May/June 2022, p. 75]

Overall though there’s actually very little to criticise about The Skywalker Saga. It’s a perfectly constructed love letter to a series of films that will appeal to young and old alike. The force is strong in this one.

LEGO Star Wars on Nintendo Switch is the final compilation of the Skywalker story with all its nine episodes, humorously and faithfully depicted. An entertaining action adventure all around.
