    Very different from other Bayonetta games. The art direction is very nice. The story is told like a fairy tale but is very well written. The gameplay is original but not always easy to master (especially with the Joycon Drift). The game only becomes really fun when you start unlocking the elements. The ost correspond well to the artistic direction.

    Amazing game, even though I was skeptical after Bayonetta 3, it did not disappoint in the slightest. It's gorgeous and emotional, the boss fights are really fun.

    This game is very good, and very unique… while there are some inspirations like Okami and especially Korok Forest from BotW Cereza and the Lost Demon is pretty much its very own thing.

    Great combat where you control two characters at once (works great with the Joycons AND with the Pro Controller), great Zelda- like mini puzzle shrines, great exploration. Nothing feels too easy or too    This game is very good, and very unique… while there are some inspirations like Okami and especially Korok Forest from BotW Cereza and the Lost Demon is pretty much its very own thing.

    Great combat where you control two characters at once (works great with the Joycons AND with the Pro Controller), great Zelda- like mini puzzle shrines, great exploration. Nothing feels too easy or too hard or too long and the game constantly keeps throwing new stuff at you which can be very surprising.

    The graphics are beautiful, fantastic storybook art style with one of the best color palettes I have ever seen in a video game. Great story. Great voice acting. Great music. Also this game is still in 1.00 version and doesnt have a single technical issue, which is worth mentioning in 2023.

    Cereza and the Lost Demon is a gem. The only problem is that it is 60 full price which is a bit too much considering its essentially an indie game and doesnt push any technical boundaries. I bought this together with Zelda Tears of the Kingdom via an NSO voucher which might be the best way to get this game right now.

    So buy it now or wait for sale and then buy it. Its really that good! 9/10    … Expand

The interesting gameplay mechanics around Cereza and demon Cheshire are fun to play and are an exciting approach, especially in co-op mode. The storyline could also show its appeal so far and the technology is also good. The graphics andNintendo and Platinum Games created an interesting and playfully very diverse title for the Switch with "Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon". The interesting gameplay mechanics around Cereza and demon Cheshire are fun to play and are an exciting approach, especially in co-op mode.     Absolutely gorgeous game, it's hard to even put into words how beautiful the artstyle and level/character design is. The story is also very cute and heart warming. The voice acting is top notch, especially Cereza's. Sadly this game is connected into the terrible writing universe they did with Bayonetta 3, but ignoring that the self contained story in this game is wonderful.

    The gameplay is very fun and innovative too: you control Cereza with one half of the controller and Cheshire with the other, this leads to a very diferent experience that's very enjoyable. I do think Cereza does not have enough things to do during combat compared to Cheshire, but it's the only big complaint about the controls.
    The biggest complain I have is how bad the map is. Not only it is weird on how it navigates vertically, it also lacks the names of which areas the edges of one area connect to, so you're kinda navigating blind sometimes.

    The game maybe start slow due to the narrative but later turns very cool, the music and the action are powerful, and the endgame is very awasome.
    Now the gameplay is more like a TLOZ y the level design like a TLOZ fused with Metroidvania elementes, like exploration, boss fights, etc.
    Not much to say but play it!

I truely loved the game (it gives me the "surprise" effect of Kirby and the Forgotten World last year). Special mention for the soundtrack, especially on the final boss, and for the post-game extra which makes the link with Bayonetta 3 in addition toCereza and the Lost Demon is a pure tale of gameplay that give us an origin story for our beloved witch Bayonetta and artistic masterpiece. This mini metroidvania / zelda is very pleasant and we always get lost in the forest even after 20 hours. I have now 100% completion, very nice to have some time trial to attack for platinum ranks. Yeah the main story is longer than the whole bayonettas (if you only do the basic verses) so well deserved prize also.… Expand

    The Bayonetta franchise is known for their storytelling, and this game does a phenomenal job with providing context for long-time Bayonetta fans. I am so excited to see the Origins series continue the story of this amazing franchise.

    I've only played the demo so far. The art is stunning, and the story is told like a fairytale. Excellent art direction and soundtrack. The gameplay is easy, the puzzles are very intuitive. Overall, the game is a very wholesome experience that I'm looking forward to playing when I get the full version.

    Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and Lost Demon foi uma grande surpresa, além do jogo ser muito bonito, sua jogabilidade é bem gostosa, os combates são muito bons, as “dungeons” são bem legais e com puzzles variados, o jogo simplesmente me surpreendeu muito de forma positiva, recomendo quem puder ter oportunidade de jogar, jogue sem medo

    I really fell in love with this game. The graphics are breathtaking and the amazing amount of details makes you realized how much love the designers and developers poured into this game. A good starting point if you've never play a Bayonetta game before even if the gameplay between the two games is extremely different.     The game is actually way better and high quality then I expected that I was actually captivated by the essence of artstyle the narrative and the puzzles are really creative too. If you are worried about playtime hours, if you explore everything its around 15 hours. And there are stuff to do after you finish the game that i don't want to reveal but they are very worth it!!

    Excellent spin off game. You can tell a lot of love went into this one. Although it plays practically nothing like it's predecessors, it still has that Platinum Games feel and you can tell there are other influences such as Okami. Overall a great experience, I hope Platinum experiments more with games like these.

    The demo doesn't do it justice. Bought with Switch voucher with Zelda. Once you unlock elements and abilities it really picks up and there is nothing else like it out there.

    The Art Style is Gorgeous, gameplay maybe simple at some moments but the narrative is engaging with lots of secret to discover and exploration is fun, a very sneaky co-op game if you use the joycons with 1 person as cereza and other as Cheshire, overall it was a great game that pretty much exceeded expectations.

    Me gustó mucho. Un giro inesperado pero muy bien recibido en la forma de jugar a Bayonetta. El arte es hermoso, los puzzles me gustaron mucho. Tiene un poco de dificultad al controlar a 2 personajes simultáneos, pero eso le de gracia y desafío al juego. La forma en que se presenta la historia es muy buena. La música es muy cautivadora. Feliz de haberlo comprado.

    This is Bayonetta's franchise most well written game. The developing of the young Cereza is not only believable but relatable as she's a young innocent kid trying to do her best to impress others, herself and fight for the ones she loves. Chesire is an amazing    Don't let Bayonetta purists and people who haven't played the game tell you otherwise, this game is incredible and here is why:

    This is Bayonetta's franchise most well written game. The developing of the young Cereza is not only believable but relatable as she's a young innocent kid trying to do her best to impress others, herself and fight for the ones she loves. Chesire is an amazing companion as grumpy as strong who helps Cereza to become a strong kid, as the demon learns what a friend is.

    The artistic side, both visually and musically speaking, are outstanding, and both are key to this game to be an oniric, magic and fantastic tale. Even gameplay mechanics bringing this franchise a fresh twist we didn't know we needed. Although my main, but not really a big issue, with this game is the combat system which might get a bit repetitive. But I am grateful for this game to be puzzle focused and for that the boss fights are as flamboyant and stylish as main Bayo series with energetic finishers that make this game an unforgettable experience.

    The main style is magical but mysterious, never so dark but it's not a happy fairy tale, even when I was not playing the game I couldn't help to remember the game, some moments, some lines (s/o to Cereza's VA, she nailed it), the music, the lore. This is a must-play not only for Bayonetta fans but for any Nintendo Switch user who loves adventure/puzzle/platform games with great storytelling.

    Bayonetta Origins! yes this is a great game, certainly one of the most creative and artistic games i've recently played, with a beautiful art style, incredible soundtrack and intense combat. Anyone who enjoys action adventure games should definitely give it a try - I'm sure they won't be disappointed!

But if you played Platinum's games in the past, including the under-rated Okami, than you know for a fact that this is still within their wheel house. Kudos also for introducing unique play mechanics, in this case controlling 2 characters at once.     This game is just down right gorgeous. Loving to switch up in the amazing gameplay that this brings to the series. The addition of the two players controlled at the same time with one controller is masterful. Truly an innovative switch up in the series. ICan’t wait to see what platinum games comes up with next Well done.

    Amazing visuals combined with story narration really captures the feeling of a storybook. It's an odd entry for a series like Bayonetta but it works well and the gameplay is much more fun and in-depth than expected. Cereza is also extremely adorable, with a basic skill tree system and costumes. Game is longer on first playthrough than the main games.

The game also has a lot of references to the new Zelda’s (Botw & Totk). Just get it, you wont be disappointed ! The soundtrack continues the greatness.     If you get over the initial shock, it's not a bad game. Two characters working together, improving abilities, the ability to sneak around, spatial puzzles and problem solving to get further, and above all, gorgeous graphics. [Issue#327]

    In the end, what seemed like a fairly average, slow-paced indie metroidvania ends up charming you by combining a creepy fairy tale with some unique ideas, all under a beautiful visual finish. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon may not be the most user-friendly for a 100% playthrough, but it definitely is a tale worth playing on its own merits.

    Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a big departure from the mainline Bayonetta games usual formula. Instead of leaning on fast paced combat, scantily clad lead, a loud soundtrack and a story with a lot of killing and revenge. Instead, this is a family-friendly story, one that is told like a grand storybook and even has themes of love and friendship throughout. Quite the change of pace for our Umbra witch but quite the welcome one if you have your eyes open as to the type of game this really is; Cereza and the Lost Demon is a delightful adventure that thoroughly surprised me.
