This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all I thank the team behind this game for bringing an actual art style to this game instead of pushing that horrible realistic style that bayonetta 3 was pushing, it's quite unfortunate that this game still is supposed to be a support for bayonetta's third installment cause' there is no way to save or justify the roller-coaster of nothing that was.
Overall this is a puzzle solving walking simulator with some interesting environments and spectacular scenarios; I really don't have anything to say about the combat, It's just like bayonetta but for babies and there's some gimmicks thrown at it for variety.
there is some fan service to keep those passionate of this series still hopeful that this game might recover of all this mess while also pushing that same direction everyone is expecting pg not to take with this series.

It´s so weird that the "premise" of this game (the one present in the trailers) is never met even mentioned later in the game, (it gets replaced by that dreaded senseless love story nobody cares about) I'd recommend anyone that is interested in this title for that specific reason not to buy it because they might come out more upset than relieved (like me)

Also I find it weird that the growht and maturity the "Cereza" in this game experiences is never seen in the game that is supposeddly it's sequel; makes this game kinda missable and irrelevant since the main character and her variants were always even/losing against the antagonist, which we still don't know the origin of or even where he got it's powers to begin with (and makes an appearence in ths game because "reasons")

I'd like to recommend the bayonetta creator to start taking lessons in writing and scripting, and stop self-inserting into the story in some heroic/mysterious manner like we care about him.

not to much to conclude this but I noticed I typo on the extra costume that could be quite severe and I hope it gets fixed.
quite dissapointed with this product overall but I´m glad it's over I can now 100 percent this game and re-sell it along with bayo 3 in a package to forget this arch was even brought into existence.
hopefull to see the new Cereza that´s actually strong and does not hesitate save it's kind, and by hesitate I mean standing still doing nothing.

If you like long drawn out uninteresting exposition, combat so basic and dull it would entertain a child and ugly AF art direction, then you might like Cereza and the Lost demon. The game seriously sux and is the tombstone of a once great franchise as its sales numbers were pathetic, even worse than B3, which was also a let down. Don't know why platinum is so attached to this shi7y 2If you like long drawn out uninteresting exposition, combat so basic and dull it would entertain a child and ugly AF art direction, then you might like Cereza and the Lost demon. I tried the demo and it sucked. Graphics, doo doo. Controls, bulky as heck. 0/10 would not recommend

Continuing the terrible story of Bayonetta 3 with none of the fun gameplay from the main series, cannot recommend this.

    Difficult to control
    The action is not exhilarating
The mini-game of injecting magic power is boring

This game is a steaming pile of garbage. The greedy developers are charging a ridiculous price of $60 for a mobile game. When I pay $60, I expect top-notch AAA quality. That is exactly what this game lacks. Not even EA would be that greedy to sell me an indie-quality game for $60. Jesus Christ are Nintendo so greedy.

The gameplay is boring and repetitive. The story is bad. The graphics are pathetic. The level design is horrible. The enviornments load in late. The developers were too lazy and greedy to give me actual cutscenes, so they use a virtual book for cutscenes with very little animations. This whole art style stuff is just an excuse for developers to be cheap and lazy. Let me remind you that this game costs $60. The giant purple monster always does a cringeworthy roar when winning a boss battle. Speaking of which, the boss battles are trash. The physics are pathetic.

There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. For goodness sake, why are developers so obsessed with the word Origins? Enough already. It's already bad enough that these lazy developers sold me shovelware for $60, now they're lazy to come up with names for games? I don't recommend this game at all.

The art style, graphics, the way things are presented, and aesthetics are top notch. On that alone, it gets 4 stars. But it is not as fun as the mainline Bayonettas.

If you get over the initial shock, it's not a bad game. Two characters working together, improving abilities, the ability to sneak around, spatial puzzles and problem solving to get further, and above all, gorgeous graphics. [Issue#327]

In the end, what seemed like a fairly average, slow-paced indie metroidvania ends up charming you by combining a creepy fairy tale with some unique ideas, all under a beautiful visual finish. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon may not be the most user-friendly for a 100% playthrough, but it definitely is a tale worth playing on its own merits.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a big departure from the mainline Bayonetta games usual formula. Instead of leaning on fast paced combat, scantily clad lead, a loud soundtrack and a story with a lot of killing and revenge. Instead, this is a family-friendly story, one that is told like a grand storybook and even has themes of love and friendship throughout. Quite the change of pace for our Umbra witch but quite the welcome one if you have your eyes open as to the type of game this really is; Cereza and the Lost Demon is a delightful adventure that thoroughly surprised me.
