El apartado artístico no hay por donde cogerlo, pero lo de que no tenga matchmaking es un auténtico despropósito. Una pena lo que han hecho con esta versión.

It's a decent game it just didn't age well enough to live up to current standards of what makes a fun game in 2023 imo.
It started out decent but it got old/repetitive very quickly, especially after having to sit through some really slow and long battles of attrition. Story barely even exists, you can't do anything with the currency except get collectibles which makes the whole campaign

Story barely even exists, you can't do anything with the currency except get collectibles which makes the whole campaign feel unrewarding. The art style isn't terrible but it lacks personality and it's way too childish.

Would've been fun if there was some sort of upgrades you could buy with the currency and maybe customize your units to your playstyle.
Sure there's character with different abilities but that's just that, a one turn ability.

Les ajouts comme l'avance rapide des affrontements est sympa, mais ces remake n'apporte rien en plus et ont un design affreux par rapport au jeu d'origine

For perspective, I have put in nearly 5000 hours into Dual Strike, and I still play it to this day.

This Re-boot release is really bad, and made the worse by the fact that this game was held for no good reason for one year, and virtually nothing was done to improve all the problems. I played the 1st campaign and it sucks hard. - The maps are visually ugly. - The units are butt

I played the 1st campaign and it sucks hard.
    - The maps are visually ugly.
    - The units are butt ugly, and it’s really hard to tell the difference between similar units which is a huge mistake for readability. That you have to keep pressing R-Trigger to check your own units & the enemies units to see which is which is a massive fail.
    - Units on similar coloured bases, cities…. Makes it hard to tell which unit is on those bases….. I mean come on this is total amateur hour.
    - The campaign is full of Fog of war maps, which is the worst way to play advance wars.
    - encounters are structured in a more linear way, which makes encounters less dynamic and more predetermined, which is a horrible way to play tactics games.
    - AI is grotesquely idiotic like it is in all of Nintendo’s games, and you know that cultists will deliberately never realise that fact or ever admit to that fact.

    - Not a big deal; but the writing, dialogue and story is a complete infantile joke.

Some positives are that you still get some of the classic advance wars gameplay, which on a basic level is still good.
    - Art of Main menu, Character special moves, & some music is improved upon.

That this was held onto for one whole year with nothing important improved is outrageous.

Not impressed with this game. Much like fire emblem engage, another turn based strategy game, advance wars reboot doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a turn based war strategy game or a childish comedy'? I don't like the direction this mashup went in and it's hard to take this game as serious as the game wants me to when they are blending jokes, the art style, and the story, and theyNot impressed with this game. I don't like the direction this mashup went in and it's hard to take this game as serious as the game wants me to when they are blending jokes, the art style, and the story, and they are all on separate pages, in different books. This game is confused on what it wants to be, and as a result, I'm confused on what it is or who it's supposed to cater to. I also don't like the tutorial giving me a bunch of information all at once, then putting me in the game and expecting me to remember everything that was said. Some of the troops look alike and I found myself almost getting wiped out because I was putting them in the wrong spots because I confused one for another. I also don't like how when I'm taking over a city I have to during each turn tell my units to take over that city. Seems like if I put a unit on a city, that should be a given, or at least tell them once and they figure it out every round, but this game wants me to micromanage them but the art style and jokes don't lend itself to that serious of a game. Sorry, advance wars this is a no Expand

The gameplay is extremely varied thanks to the objectives in each battle, the solutions to the battles are always numerous and resemble more of a tactical puzzle. Even if you dislike the anime stylization of the story, the characters, or the general sauce around them, both games are excellent tactical strategies in the style of Battle Isle, and indeed the original Wars series from which Advance Wars sprang. While not quite living up to the “Advance” moniker in its title, Advance Wars provides a satisfying SRPG experience with its solid strategic combat and a wealth of content- making it a worthwhile addition to the library of any die-hard SRPG fan.

The new art style doesn't spark that much joy in us, but the strategic genius at Advance Wars' heart is completely intact here, making for an excellent paired package of gaming greats on the Switch.
