It's Undertale on the Playstation Vita. What more could you possibly ask for? Well there is something. I can't give it a 10 because two things irritate me. Once you boot up the game, you lose access to all other feature in the Vita, Browser, looking at trophies etc. Sure other games such as X-Com and Resident Evil 2 Revelations were the same, but with Undertale.... There is no way the game can be hogging so much memory, and in my opinion no excuse for it either. Bad programming, or purposely restrictive. Expand

Just like how it was when I played on the PC, except it's better since I can play it anywhere I want to
I gotta say it's a great title to have on the vita. Everything was ported nicely, it runs smooth, and it plays well, no bugs at all.
Buy it on the vita, you get the game on the PS4 too. A nice bonus! Would've gave it a 10 if all the creepy game crashes was carried over to the

Absolutely stunning! Playstation Vita might just be the very best way to experience Toby Fox’s gloriously different JRPG. Unmissable for RPG, indie and Vita fans.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a fantastic game no matter where you play it. It made me care about it's characters which few games make me do. Importantly the game is designed for a second play through, as more dialogues, locations and '"true" endings open up with the second time going through the game. I say importantly as I believe many players don't go through that second play through. if you are engaged in the story and enjoy/don't mind the mechanics then doing it again is fun. I also personally appreciate symbolism and philosophy the developer attempted to fit into the game. They work well but it's one of those where you only get/appreciate some of them after watching some deep dive Undertale You-Tube videos.

For me the main issue was not the game itself, the medium. The Vita's poor speakers meant I didn't get the best experience of the excellent soundtrack. Also I do think the screen is to small to, especially with the 4:3 aspect ratio. Another medium, like a PC or even the Switch would definitely have been better to play it on.

That word, pleasant, may just be the best way to describe all of Undertale. I know that’s nowhere near as strong a term as many of its devotees have used, but it feels entirely appropriate to me. The characters, the charmingly retro graphics, the interactions: they’re generally quite pleasant. I wouldn’t say they make this a must-play game, but I would say that it means that if you play Undertale, you’ll likely have a grin on your face the whole time.
