Jul 10, 2025Celebrating its huge success since its original release over 20 years ago, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition delivers the addictive original experience with improved visuals. Players also have access to interesting gifts such as a collection of classic games and, most notably, a museum full of videos and images about the history of the game and its franchise. Even though the party could have had newer elements, it is still perfect for fans and newcomers alike, who will find plenty of fun between sheep, bazookas and Molotov cocktails.

Jul 6, 2025The best version of Worms has been given new life on consoles. Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition features the gameplay you know and love, an arsenal of outrageous weapons, and a bucketload of customisation options. Throw in some museum-like extras and you have a genuine treat for fans of the comedic warfare series. It's not perfect, though, with its menus in particular being a bit of a pain to navigate at times.

Sep 26, 2024When you're in the thick of a match, using a baseball bat to smack a worm into the water, blowing up a cluster of enemies with a well-placed sheep, or expertly crossing the map with a ninja rope, only to botch the landing and start a chain reaction of mines and exploding barrels, all the rough edges erode away. Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition is a warts-and-all revival of a game that, 25 years later, still has it where it counts, and there aren't too many titles that can make that claim.

Oct 14, 2024While I’m sure that’s not going to be enough for those who have already played hours of Worms Armageddon or who already own it on PC (which remains the best way to play), for everyone else it’s a nice way to experience the series at its best. Hopefully, above all else, it’s a reminder to Team17 what makes Worms works so well - and it isn't when it's trying to be a battle royale.
