    Virtuous Western is a (very) cheap and cheerful puzzle game dressed up as a retro Wild West shooter. It has its moments but you're looking at a thirty minute game here with a pretty trivial level of difficulty and as such you'll be done with this before you know it.

    It’s a wisp of an idea that’s not even interesting enough to sustain the minimal game that’s here, and you’re couple of dollars and 20 minutes would be better spent on pretty much anything else.

    Virtuous Western is a small indie pixel art puzzle cowboy game set in the old western. Your character has had his steed stolen by a bunch of yellow belly no good varmints. Your job is to get your horse back by taking out everyone.

    Each level consists of a number of bad guys. Once you have taken all of them out, you will then progress to the next level. Levels have different way to tackle this from shooting, blowing up TNT, having the bad guys shoot each other and so on. There is an element of Puzzle to this one so think before you start each stage as you only have a total of 3 bullets that you can hold at once but sometimes the level will only give you 1 to 2 bullets to take out 3 to 4 bad guys. Its quite a easy game and the bad guys only face and shoot in one direction so shooting in the back is not a cowards way out in this game.

    The old western style soundtrack is great, the pixel art visuals are great and overall this is a great game!
    I loved this game and would have given it a 10/10 but it fell short in one area and that its the length of the game. It only contains 30 levels in total with a Boss fight at the end. Once you have completed it, there is a Stop watch speed run challenged you can take part in.
