Think of this as an homage to audacious action cinema – from the likes of Hong Kong director John Woo – but remember you are no passive observer. You will need to practise, practise, practise. Kill or be killed. Repeat to fade. Yet forever irresistible.

Vendetta Forever ends up having a highly replayable gameplay loop with slick combat and incredible variety. This is one of the best titles to hit PSVR2 this year without question.

Vendetta Forever is a new contender for my favourite VR game. Its high speed, intense, but relatively short levels are always somewhere between very cool, very over the top, and quite funny. It's a game that's in love with old school action movies and did it darnedest to let you shoot your way through countless classic set pieces.

Who's quibbling about the originality of any given bone when there are so many of them just waiting to be broken, and in so many stylish ways? [Issue#404, p.121]

Vendetta Forever is a puzzle game disguised as a shooter, and you'll get a kick out of spinning around yourself to clear a room of enemies while ducking to avoid their projects. It has that 'I've-gotta-try-it-again' feeling and it's definitely a game worth checking out if you're looking for a good and accessible action game to knock the dust off that PSVR2 headset.

Don't be fooled by the Superhot/Pistil Whip esthetics, Vendetta Forever strikes the VR player with a different kind of attack and does so with great vengeance and furious anger. During the course of sixty well-designed - and sometimes brutally challenging - levels, Meatspace Interactive puts players to the test to get the answer to the question burning on the lips of every action movie connoisseur: Do I have what it takes to be Tom Cruise? The short answer (no pun intended) is yes, although it might request a lot of trial and error or the occasional use of a cheat to accomplish some of the seemingly impossible missions.

Vendetta Forever reeks of missed opportunities. Beneath the stylishness and adrenaline-fueled action, it's actually a shallow experience that you'd like to see more of, and something more varied. The 4 or so mission types and relatively schematic gameplay quickly become tiresome.
