Tanuki Sunset is a third-person longboarding game where players follow Tanuki, a rad raccoon with a longboard and a dream to land on the cover of the #1 magazine in Sunset Island: FISH!

Players must master longboard drifting to make their way from mountains ranges, through the city and down to the beach of Sunset Island. Throughout the journey players will guide Tanuki to perform rad tricks, jump-off ramps, all while avoiding cars and multiple obstacles. Collecting Tanuki Bits along the way is important to redeem for items and gear at Bob's Skate Shop, where players can customize Tanuki's outfit and longboard to better suit their personal style.

Tanuki Sunset is a relaxing game about skateboarding down a hill as a racoon, and it makes that premise work reasonably well. You'll have fun customising your outfit and board, but probably won't be blown away by the obstacles and gameplay. It's worth playing, but you can play a mini-version free in your browser. Look it up!

Tanuki Sunset is the racoon-based skating game you never knew you wanted. It's fast, fun and pretty cool but maybe a little thin when it comes to gameplay and longevity. We liked it a lot though.

Tanuki Sunset is fun to play if you take it as seriously as a Raccoon on a Longboard. The visuals and colour palette pop and there’s a nostalgic but limited soundtrack to shred into the sunset. Those looking for a mechanically sound Arcade game won’t find it here however, with a little too much randomness bouncing off rigidly set challenges.
