    This game has been all fighting game players wanted in one absolute package. It has so much, soooo much! Gamingwise it's the perfect balance between Classic SF2 Balanced play with modern mechanics that go not so far away from the original style. Online combat netcode it's amazingly good, Ranked plays and Casual matches in online go really smooth (and Im from Argentina, which usually it'sThis game has been all fighting game players wanted in one absolute package. It has so much, soooo much! Gamingwise it's the perfect balance between Classic SF2 Balanced play with modern mechanics that go not so far away from the original style. Online combat netcode it's amazingly good, Ranked plays and Casual matches in online go really smooth (and Im from Argentina, which usually it's horrible in lag inputs).
    Story mode with your own character creation it's all I never knew I wanted in a Fighting game. And Avatar duels it's an amazing addition to the series.    … Expand

    As a huge fan [1000 hours played] of sf4 but not a big fan of sf5, this game was made for me.... and also made to be more assessable for the masses with new modern and AI driven control schemes to get into the fight and a fighters hub where people can congregate and an RPG mode to play through and commentators you can choose from and bonus arcade games to play with score rankings and waysAs a huge fan [1000 hours played] of sf4 but not a big fan of sf5, this game was made for me.... and also made to be more assessable for the masses with new modern and AI driven control schemes to get into the fight and a fighters hub where people can congregate and an RPG mode to play through and commentators you can choose from and bonus arcade games to play with score rankings and ways to follow and watch the pros of your favorite character with recommendations.     As a looong time fan, SF6 is the best entry to a new numbered series, ever. Not sure why the user score is low here. Gameplay is best it’s ever been, single player content is richest it’s ever been, excellent tutorials and a great all-round group of fighters. Best SF ever

    Street Fighter 6 is easily one of the best fighting games out there that is a game I think anyone will be able to pick up and enjoy. The combat is probably the most accessible Street Fighter has ever been, but still has so much depth and tech to uncover that I've barely scratched the surface of what some characters can do. Of course, classic is just as SF has always been, but the newStreet Fighter 6 is easily one of the best fighting games out there that is a game I think anyone will be able to pick up and enjoy. Of course, classic is just as SF has always been, but the new modern mode is a great inclusion, as it allows so many new people who are unfamiliar with fighters and aren't in the know of the intricacies of fighters can easily hop in, learn a character and have some fun. This also includes the wealth of modes and single player content that the game offers. World Tour so far is a great teaching tool for newcomers to the series and is just a fun and wacky single player mode where you build your own character (or pet freak) and have them power up, learn moves, and traverse a huge open world. It's quite the amazing single player mode that is a huge awesome breath of fresh air that isn't just the usual MK cinematic single player mode. The modes on offer as well are great as well, as while the typical combat is amazing, having tons of modifiers that you can play around with is great to have as it allows people to simply mess around and have a good time with wacky modes. The online is easily one of the best that can be had with any competitive game out there. The rollback netcode is silky smooth and is hard to find many bad matches, even if connection is low. The battle hub is such a fantastic inclusion as it allows you to simply hang out with friends and meet new people which is such a cool inclusion. The game looks fantastic as well, and runs buttery smooth like you would expect it, even on PS4. The game is simply one of the best games you can spend your money on, as its very approachable for new players, has a wealth of content, and is top quality in mechanics. I can't wait for the future of the game and to see what the upcoming dlc characters have in store!

    Also I normally don't mention stuff like this on a review site, but for normal people, please ignore the constant zeros. They're simply people who are trying to review bomb the game because they don't want new people to enjoy the game, are not knowledgeable in what they are talking about, or are complaining about Cammy not having her classic costume because they're horny. Mainly focus on reviews that try and form a solid foundation for an opinion. That way you can get a better insight into what the game is really about and its qualities.    … Expand

    Keeping it short and simple because the main reviews cover the mechanics.
    What’s missing that id like to see in upcoming updates that’s in SF5 and not in 6:
    - ability to change individual character language
    - change base outfit at character select permanently - set some characters as Moderate or Classic permanently - have stages cycle randomly on versus mode

    I've always been a fan of the Street Fighter franchise, even though V didn't please me so much this new title surprised me in an extremely positive way, I have nothing to complain about, it's fun, it has good mechanics and fantastic character design, a hit from Capcom for new and longtime fans.

    As an avid mortal kombat fan, I am surprised how good this is and absolutely love it. There is lots of single player contents and detailed tutorials for learning combos and character strategies. But the most interesting part for me was I didn't expect it to be this casual friendly.     Gamplay-wise, one of the best fighting games of the last 20+ years. Amazing online, amazing training mode (for beginner and experts alike), great different characters, so much options and so much love was poured into this game from the developers, you can feel it in so many little details. And I'm glad they'll continue to create new characters/stage and not choose a "no DLC" policy and do nothing in the future for the game, as some seem to wish!     I haven't played the world tour mod but the multiplayer and the core gameplay are amazing. Each character is incredibly well thought out and takes a long time to master, yet you can have a lot of fun immediately with them. The loading times are really fast, games pile up and you just continue playing.     Street Fighter’s Greatest Hits all rolled up into one gloriously beautiful package. The best aspects of II, III, IV, and V are on magnificent display. From focus attacks to parries to drive rushes to multiple super arts. Fighting game fanatics eat your heart out. The pinnacle of fighting games is upon us.

    Finally a very good Street Fighter game. Its a straight 10/10 for me. You have a looooooot of modes to play, a looooooot to unlock. Every fighter plays pretty unique even ken vs ryu which both are shotos. I personally love the Soundtrack on this one, graphics are amazing too and the gameplay is pure fun if you understand it. Also it has a lot of accessibility options which is not commonFinally a very good Street Fighter game. Its a straight 10/10 for me. You have a looooooot of modes to play, a looooooot to unlock. Fast loading makes rematches a good time. Single player mode is surprisingly good. Avatar customization and battles are pretty cool.    Hours Played: 173 Hours

    What I Dislike: After a month, tournaments are still not available. Battle pass is weak. The cast is kinda boring.

    How It Stacks Up: Even though it's only been a month, I can easily say this is the best fighting game of all time. And the numbers are there to back it up. Even if you don't really like fighting games, I would give this a try. Modern controls make getting into it very streamlined. Sure the cast is weak, but expect there to be continued support via DLC characters.    … Expand

All the new characters (6 at launch) are interesting and fun. Pros are loving the game for the depth and focus on offense. It's great for beginners too because of all the excellent tutorials and the introduction of the easier-to-use modern controls. GreatGreat game!! Pros are loving the game for the depth and focus on offense. It's great for beginners too because of all the excellent tutorials and the introduction of the easier-to-use modern controls. Great for intermediate players like me too. Lots of combo trials for each character (23-25 per character unlike SF V which only had 10 per character). The training mode has a feature that shows all the frame data etc. for the moves you perform so there's no need to look up frame data online.
    As for the single player, I think it's good but not great. It's true that the story of World Tour is very cheesy and the fights are mostly not interesting (the first third of it is ridiculously easy) but I still enjoyed leveling up my character and making an avatar which can combine moves from different characters to be played in special avatar battles online. That avatar battles are very unbalanced unless you're close to the same level as your opponent but they're still kind of fun.
    As for the really important part: ranked is GREAT! Now you get a different rank for every character you play. So if you want to try out a character that you've never played, it won't bring down an overall rank for all characters (there isn't one). No PP like in SF4 or LP like in SF V. It's similar to BP in SF4 except that you don't start at 0. You play 10 placement matches and then it gives you an appropriate rank. The system really makes me want to play all of the different characters eventually to see what rank I can get with all of them. So far I got to Platinum with Chun Li, Blanka, and JP and Silver with E. Honda and Lily.
    It's true that there are just 18 characters at launch but they are great characters and there's a lot to learn. There's a good variety in my opinion. Rashid is coming out in a couple days and we'll see how many Drive Tickets he costs. I have about 5000 (which I earned pretty easily in the game without paying any money). The 4 characters in season 1 cost a total of $30 if you don't buy them with Drive Tickets. This seems kind of expensive but there is plenty of content without them and fortunately they usually have done a pretty good job of not making the DLC characters overpowered in previous Street Fighter games, so you probably don't have to worry about being at a competitive disadvantage for not getting them (like stupid PlayStation All-Stars).
    As for balance, this seems to have some of the best balance a Street Fighter game has ever had. There isn't one character that is definitely the best. Zangief doesn't seem very good at pro level but he is popular online and still usable. The tier lists have kept changing. Many people think E. Honda is too easy to play but at least he isn't overpowered and I did much better with some other characters I tried out.
    As for the live service stuff in the game, it's mostly just cosmetics that you don't really need and you can spend Drive Tickets (which can be earned in the game) for it. People just love to whine about any extra stuff that you can buy with the game even if there is absolutely no need for it (I'm talking about everything besides the DLC characters which I've already covered).
    Anyways, if you're a fighting game fan, just buy it!!    … Expand

    The World Tour mode is the weakest of the 3 modes, but there's a real potential for growth there. And even now, it is a somewhat fun modes, with the player creating their own avatar and venturing through    Capcom did it! They really did a fantastic job on this game.

    The other 2 modes benefit so much from the new mechanics that are inclusive for new players and also pleases the pros! It is such a delight to play those many battles offline against the CPU or friends or online!

    Forget everything SF5 did wrong, Capcom took all those mistakes and threw them in the trash. This game is now rich in content, visuals and gameplay. Mandatory purchase for fighting game fans

    Après la déception de Street Fighters 5, Capcom a su corriger son erreur pour revenir avec un jeu exceptionnellement complet et innovant. Le mode solo, le Battlehub qui permet d'avoir une ambiance salle d'arcade et parler à des gens c'est vraiment bien pensé pour un jeu de combat.

    Don't worry about to learn mix a combos, new modern control will helping you to learn.
    Dynamic control is so Fun! Even i'm can't wait teach my dog do playing this game.

    The jump from SFV to this is absolutely insane. The amount of content, personality, charm and fun this game has is absurdly good. It's already breaking player count records on Steam! This is what happens when you give a damn about making our games fun to EVERYONE and not just targeting smaller portions of your fan base like the FGC. The only flaw I see is the grind heavy process needed forThe jump from SFV to this is absolutely insane. The amount of content, personality, charm and fun this game has is absurdly good. This is what happens when you give a damn about making our games fun to EVERYONE and not just targeting smaller portions of your fan base like the FGC. The only flaw I see is the grind heavy process needed for unlocking free costumes, and having to pay for colors, also the incoming battle pass.
    But even then, those are cosmetics and shouldn't determine the quality of the entire game considering it is optional and not necessary to get the most out of SF6. Beautiful comeback story for Street Fighter after seeing how badly SFV was.    … Expand

    the best street fighter? Well I liked it more then 3rd strike, alfa 3, sf4 etc. It's really addictive. Roster is decently selected and bring variety of playstyles. Drive guage mechanic is amazing. Loosing is not annoying, you feel like you made mistake and can improve. Netcode is best I ever played. The biggest issue I can find is mediocre soundtrack :) game good for new players and veterans.

    The game is just great. The last time I played for a long time only in SF 4. Now I can't tear myself away from the game the same way as 12 years ago. Many thanks to CAPCOM for not bending under the modern agenda and making beautiful female characters. I hope the MK 1 developers will do the same and will not be led by Twitter screamers.

    This is my first fighting game ever and I can't stop playing it. I love the characters, the music, the combos, the extra modes and just the vibes this game gives off. The single player mode is such a treat and really adds a nice shift from online matches. It's also really satisfying to progress through and fun to just hang around in due to its lovely open world design.     This game offers everything a fighting game fan needs. The netcode is awesome, the input delay is the best it has ever been (not matter the platform) and the 18 different characters offer a huge variety of playstyles.

    This is an absolute gem of a fighting game. THere's so many mechanics to master and get used to. I hate the idea of modern controls tho. I like how they're trying to introduce fighting games to new players by making it easier, but it's cheap to say the least.

    You can really tell who actually play fighting games and who doesn't in here. People review bombing because they lose and wanna blame the game rather than themselves. This is the most feature rich fighting game ever, with modes for everything even down to party modes. Capcom smashed it out of the park, definitely look into this one.

    i really think this is one of the best street fighter games just by the way it plays and how all the mechanics interact with each other, netcode is great, would tour mode i dont really care but i guess its good for new players.

    between all three mods I've spent most of my time in battle hob, it really is a fun way to interact with others and share tech and if you don't want to do that you can still que up for rank and casual the normal way

    After spending a month with this game I can confidently say, this is one of the best fighting games ever made, I love the drive bar and how it's crafted, netcode works great, and battle hub is a lot of fun, can't speak about world tour mode since I didn't play it

    After i busted my hand it was hard for me to enjoy fighting games wich sucks because i really like them. when i heard about modern controlls i wonder if this would allow me to play again and it did, and im happy that i can play with my brothers again.

    Great fighting game!.
    when i first heard about the drive bar i was a bit skeptical, but after some thought and consideration and very long sets, i really think its now one of my favorite mechanics in a fighting game.It has other game modes that's really fun in a local setting and a single player mode that you can sink some time into if thats your thing. Great game overall.

I have been playing fighting games since I was 9 and I've always struggled to find a fighting game that maintained my interest playing online and with Street Fighter 6 I've finally found what I was looking for. I have been playing fighting games since I was 9 and I've always struggled to find a fighting game that maintained my interest playing online and with Street Fighter 6 I've finally found what I was looking for. The gameplay is simple enough to get a grasp on for newer players (even classic controls has easier inputs for special moves) and leaves enough decision making to keep mid to high level players interested. Seriously I have put more than forty hours into ranked and I learn something every game I play. Most fighting games cannot say the same. On top of that the netcode is amazing. Those who complain about it are probably using Wi-Fi because you can have matches across the globe with very little problems.

    In terms of single player this game definitely satisfies. Usually fighting games struggle with justifying a $60 price tag which is why the launch of SFV was so horrible. Capcom needed to make sure with SF6 that there was enough single player content to rival a NetherRealm game, and they did not disappoint. Word Tour mode isn't perfect, but its one of the best single player modes I've seen come out of fighting games especially compared to the grindy towers found in recent MK games. Creating your own fighter will never not be cool and the conversations between the player and the characters can be pretty hilarious.

    Battle Hub is another mode that SF6 introduces and its pretty good. Ark System Works have attempted to do this kind of thing with Dragon Ball Fighterz and Guilty Gear, but I'd argue that they mediocre compared to Battle Hub. There's a couple of fun things you can do in this mode and I hope Capcom keep adding to it in the future because it has so much potential.

    Street Fighter 6 also has a new sense of identify that SF hasn't had in years. The music, cutscenes, and presentation all build an atmosphere that nails what they were trying to accomplish.

    I do have some some complaints. Matchmaking in ranked is region locked which sucks especially for Masters players, the endgame of world tour mode is a little lack luster, and there are a couple more small issues.

    Overall Street Fighter is back and I hope the DLC is as good as the base game.    … Expand

    Absolutely love this game, if you complain about modern controls, you're just a gatekeeping crybaby. I don't use them, but they're amazing for getting more players. I don't get why you guys don't want new players, do you want the game to die or something?

    I've personally have had a great experience playing ranked matches online with 97% of the time matches running smoothly over various internet connection types. I have had very few rage quitters and the majority of opponents will rematch. Friend request and replays working very well and easy to use as well.

    I found myself playing more World Tour than I expected because I enjoyed unlocking more of the story of the SF characters. The amount of grind to unlock outfits is my only complaint.

    The game cabinet with retro games is one of my favorite small touches that keeps me coming back to Battle Hub. As long as you don't take Avatar battles to seriously they are a great time as well.    … Expand

    Gameplay is perfection, new characters are great, netcode never fails and last but not least : GAME IS FUN, like really fun.
    If you want a 2D fighter and arent disgusted by art style, just go for it blindly.

    First of all, I would like to mention how easily accessible for people who are new to fighting game with the introduction of Modern and Dynamic controls. The game also have a good netcode, my exprience with online play so far have been great thanks to it. A much improved practice mode and new combo trial mode that were introduce really help new or returning street fighter players get to know the fundemental of each characters they are playing.

    I'm also really impress that Capcom decided to add in World Tour mode into Street Fighter, which is basically an open world story mode where you start of with an avatar of your creation. Althought World Tour mode could be repetitive at times and a generic story, but I like that Capcom are trying to do something different, and I always welcome innovation when it comes to involving a game. They also added a battle hub mode where players can meet and interract with each other.

    The game really is a step up from SFV, with a very solid cast of 18 characters, with someone for just about any archetype or playstyle you can think of. A new single player story content, amazing soundtrack, new commentary feature that can be toggle off and on, good netcode, so on and so forth. Capcom really set the bar of what a fighting game should be on release.    … Expand

    Street Fighter 6 honestly feels like the best game of the series in every facet possible. The long term will prove or disprove this though as these games tend to morph and change over their lifetime. But for this game to take that title, it’s done everything right from the outset to cement its legacy as the best of the best. This game is a recommendation for people interested in fighting games at any level, go check it out now.
