    Easily one of the most refreshing and original games that I have played in a long while. The game captures a gorgeous lo-fi cyberpunk aesthetic, the platform-puzzling is fun and the game convinces wholly with its cat mechanics. For a short game, there is a surprisingly engaging and thought provoking story at play. This is a clear 10/10 for me, and I hope we get more of this story.

    Nice short Game as part of the PS-Plus Extra. I would have been a bit disapointed for full price.

    The story is standard post-apocalypse but nicely narated by your companion (though you have to read it all, there is no voice acting) Gamplay feels shallow. Walking simulator would be too hard, but it is not far from it. Graphics are okay Maybe you have to be a cat-person to understand    Nice short Game as part of the PS-Plus Extra.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Simply a lovely, beautiful and heartbreaking game that stole the hearts of many people. The gameplay is fun and inovative. The puzzles, platforming and chapters are all very cool and interesting to play. Soundtrack is superb and very emotional. A story that starts rather shy with 4 cats sleeping together, but that suddenly turns into despair as our orange cat falls into some sort of apocalypse where the story unfolds. Characters are all adorable, and the plot is way deeper than people may think. What happened to humans? Why did they go extinct? Is it possible that there are some humans alive outside that bunker? And the robots, are they humans that uploaded their minds into robot bodies? That's what happened with our pal B12. The game ends with even more unanswered questions... Will the cat find it's friends? What is the screen flickering at the very last scene? Is it B12, who might have merged into the system, giving a sign of life?

    All of these questions open plenty of room for a sequel where we might start with the cat on a mission to rescue their friends, who might have gotten into trouble. Sooner or later, someone will enter the Control Room and will find B12's body. His body could be repaired, and then we can have our friend back from one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the gaming history.

    This game is beautiful, lovely, heartbreaking, yet heartwarming. I really look forward to a sequel.

Получается она получила такую популярность только из-за того , что это просто хорошая игра которой так не хватало в 2022 году, ведь хорошие игры можно по пальцам пересчитать в данном году. Иииии... Я с этим согласен ведь всё отлично - это просто хорошая игра!

    Играя в игру, ты привязываешься к главному персонажу, начинаешь иногда ощущать себя в его теле. Ты можешь стать котом и полностью погрузиться в кошачью жизнь - царапать диван и стены, спать сколько хочешь, мяукать так мило , что аж уровень дофамина и серотонина выплёскивается с небывалой скоростью.

    Впрочем игра рекомендуется для покупки 100% пользователям, так как каждый найдёт, что-то для себя!    … Expand

    Incredible. The robot playing the guitar made out of a gas can with a hole in it is worth the money and more. Sure the game could be longer but I think it had a story to tell and told it in the amount of time it needed. Also you play as a funny cat.

Its refreshive gameplay and its simple, but intriguing story does a good enough job. I appreaciated the details, for example, when you are in the midtown and go to the elevator and see the area, where have you been an hour ago, but my favorite example of this is, when you are in the control room and if you look out of the window, you can see all the areas you've been to. It is at that moment, where i realize, how the areas are quite small, but because i was a cat it all seemed huge. The game is worth to play, especially if you are looking to relax and get immersed into a cyberpunk world.… Expand

    Amazing game. Obviously playing as a cat is exciting all on its own. But playing as a cat in an atmospheric cyberpunk setting with hip robot characters and great stories and puzzles makes this game a must play.

    The core gameplay is awesome, with the only real complaint being it can be a bit tricky to know where to go at times since there is no map.

    I absolutely loved this game. It is incredibly creative and the side quests make it even more rewarding to explore. I would recommend this game to everyone as it requires puzzle solving, exploration and stealth scenarios too.

    What's better than a cat being the main character of the game and being able to save a city and bring life back to everyone. The puzzles and the storyline of the story were very interesting and not boring at all, as in some places you felt like a cat, especially this game. Recommended for all people who love cats.

I still need to go back to 100% it however I really loved how the game told a story using the atmosphere and the cat reactions to certain things. Taking a cat nap in library? PRICELESS. I cried every time we separated from our robot friend. Even the last time. It was challenging, beautiful, and heart warming all at the same time. If you want an emotional rollercoaster will once again recommend this game.… Expand

    As a cat lover this game is a must play! But even if you only got interested in this game because of the cat, you will fall in love with the story.

    The way the developers were able to tell a beautiful story about what makes us human and how the robots carry these traits along with them, is just amazing.

    As well as their downright perfect portray on classism and how society can bring ruin and chaos to our world.

    Everyone fell in love with Stray when it was first announced. A game where you play as a cat wandering around a post apocalyptic city? Sign me up. Well, it does live up to that hope we had. It was very fun and happy I played it.

    Stray is not a "big" game but it is indeed a really fun one. Took me 7-8 hours to finish and i enjoyed everything about it, the game really makes you feel how it is to be a cat in this cyberpunk world and this place is literally perfect for being a cat (and no matter what you say being a cat is FUN).

    The game is also visually beautiful and pretty immersive especially when played on PS5.    Stray is not a "big" game but it is indeed a really fun one. Took me 7-8 hours to finish and i enjoyed everything about it, the game really makes you feel how it is to be a cat in this cyberpunk world and this place is literally perfect for being a cat (and no matter what you say being a cat is FUN).

    Ok game, nothing too exciting. Nothing is particularly flashed out, story and gameplay are average. I got a platinum trophy, but that only reinforced shallowness of experience. Meditative games can be good like ex. Minecraft or Stardewvalley or Animal Crossing, but when it is the main and only appeal with no gameplay or story to support it we get Stray, which quickly becomes boring.

    Stray is a new take on its genre. Its story was charming, funny, and overall a very fun time. While its length or lack thereof does prevent it from being a masterpiece. Stray is still a charming and adorable game that almost anyone can get something out of.

    I don´t get the hype at all with this game, the only appeal is that you`re a cat... and that´s it.
    gameplay-wise it feels very old, the parkour is scripted leaving you 0 room to explore or actually feel like a agile feline, the puzzles aren´t very interesting and the story it´s just okay I guess, cute concept but it´s probably the most overrated game I´ve seen

    I loved Stray as much as my cats ignored it. Controlling a cat in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk setting was amazing, but even more amazing was the level of detail, humor, and creativity put into it. The game plays extremely well, you get to help a cat saving the world below, and also himself. Everything about the game exudes cuteness and good taste.

    This is one of those games that I just discovered, and I never thought I would experience a game like this, until now. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The graphics was fantastic and the music was charming and relaxing. I'd love to play another game like this again.

For the first two hours of playing this, I liked progressing and moving from place to place but couldn't identify a deep narrative or engaging gameplay. Long-ass fetch quests are the bane of my existence so seeing one within the first hour and a half into the game got me a little scared it would become a recurring theme, but it didn't, thank god. Toward the back half of the game, I really started enjoying myself as I explored Midtown, a much larger, more detailed area. They also introduced stealth segments I felt should have been in the game from the beginning, considering sneaking around as a cat is so fun. The story also stuck the landing as B-12, the companion robot, started leaking deets about his past life as a human, a welcome twist that gave the narrative the edge it so desperately needed. Overall, well worth $30, and that best indie debut award it found at the VGAs this year.… Expand

    And I wanted to just comment- I've noticed so far- the behavior of the cats are amazing. And mostly I noticed when he hissed at the first level that he did a little mouth lick. My cats have always done that and I wondered why ...and this game actually

    How this game has gotten so much creds is really weird to me. Yes it looks amazing, but is extremley boring and slow. And you just walk around. You cant jump, only if the controller tells you to. So you just walk around. Regret spending money on this stupid game.

    I quite enjoyed this game. The graphics were good and I also liked the background music. I am just a disappointed since this was a small game. Anyways I hope the studio comes up with Stray 2. Interested about the afterstory. What happened to the others and did the cat meet with their friends. Anyway good game and hope that many others play this.

    Гра супер. Дуже чудова задумка, атмосфера захоплює вже з перших хвилин гри, сюжет не зовсім явний і в фінал гри мене більше розчарував, якись він "незакінчений", на мою думку, і тільки через це 9 з 10.

Дуже чудова задумка, атмосфера захоплює вже з перших хвилин гри, сюжет не зовсім явний і в фінал гри мене більше розчарував, якись він "незакінчений", на мою думку, і тільки через це 9 з 10.

    Safe to say there is no gameplay in this game;
    Closer to a visual novel than a platform game or an adventure game.
    There aren't many good mechanics in this game.
    I felt all the time that it was quite clear where to go at each stage and it was too easy, predictable and mostly boring.
    The plot started nice; It was intriguing to follow the poor cat and see how we manage to get along in a cold and intriguing world like they built there.
    Unfortunately the plot became boring, the wisdom of the game has been played artfully in the world many times, and I was not shocked or surprised by anything. The NPC'S just send you on boring missions and fail to convey the message of the interesting world they have built.    … Expand

    В целом игра зашла, 7 часов геймплея пролетели очень незаметно. Изучать местные локации было интересно, головоломки решать было скучно. В принципе видно что игра создавалась для "отдыха", чтобы удобно сесть на диване с геймпадом в руках и не напрягая мозги умиляться котику, тереться об роботов и конечно же царапать их мебель.В целом игра зашла, 7 часов геймплея пролетели очень незаметно.     Fun, original and furry nice! The narrative is very nicely presented through your drone companion, the "cattitude" of the main character fills every action. The journey of our little hero takes more and more shape every level. Plus: there's a meow button!

    This game is an 11 for me! Proof that indie games are pushing gaming forwards in ways that AAA games don't anymore. The game is short but that's not a negative, the game's length ensures that you remain totally engrossed throughout!

    Playing as a cat was a great experience for me. The storyline is awesome, graphics are good for a normal PC. One of the best indie games I have ever played.

    First of all, Stray is one of the games which became trendy in late 2022 because of its gameplay that makes it different from the other open world RPG games, unique and popular among gamers. One of the things that caught all the attention from gamers is that the main protagonist is neither human beings nor cyborgs nor aliens nor wizards. It is just a stray cat and the main story is based on the adventure of this little cat which changed the perspectives of the players from the ordinary to a new one.
    “Stray” takes place in the distant future, set in the dystopian city which is also known as “Walled City 99”. The environment is not on the surface of the earth and it is such an underground city populated by robots and mutant bacteria spread out all over the city. The graphics of this game are really impressive and detailed. Not only detailed graphics but also fascinating and interesting lore also make this game perfect. This game is about finding a way to unlock the city, finding a way to upload data into an online network and to save the citizens. Moreover, every chapter in this storyline is also full of mysteries and plot twists. From the point of view of the players, the gameplay is really smooth, the gestures, actions and movement of both main protagonists and villains are also in the best quality and satisfying situations for the players. Not only that, gameplay involves solving puzzles to get clues for the quiz, escaping from the enemies by running through and climbing up the obstacles. There are also interesting kinds of gadgets which players can get from the quiz such as B12 which can show maps, memories and light up while walking, a laser gun which can burn out enemies and so on. These kinds of gadgets also make “Stray” more interesting and unique than the other RPG games. Although the protagonist and villains are perfect, NPCs are not that good in character design. Most of the NPCs in this game are robots and nearly all of their faces are identical which can make the players confused when they have to find NPCs to get quizes or clues. The texture and lighting of the buildings, brightness of the whole game is perfectly balanced. Another important thing which makes this game perfect is the sound system because the background theme sounds change immediately according to the situations of the player which can also increase the intensity of the game and make the player continue to play it. Narration during the story cutscene and the subtitles are also good enough. Like the other games, “Stray” is also a multiplatform game which means it is available on both consoles(PS4,PS5,XBOX) and PC. This one also make “Stray” competitive with the other famous games and one of the best games to choose among a variety of games.
    Last but not least, “Stray” is a completely perfect game for me in all of the fields, storyline, character designs, graphics, sound system and so forth. I really recommend everyone to play this game once in your life to feel the different vibe of an RPG game and this game also won “Game of The Year” award in 2022.     Lovely game, even tough I'm not a fan of cats, this will be an immersive journey through an uncertain vivid world. The visuals is what stands out the most in this game and the end was kinda satisfying.

    The chase sequences are so lazy, it's lazy game design and there is no smart way to pass these sequences except running like an idiot. There is zero counter counter play to the enemies.

The cat, although super cute and totally enjoyable to control, could have used a little more visual detail; but I am really nitpicking here. At first, I found it a bit weird and silly to play with a cat as the main character, but as I delved deeper, the emotions and experiences became unforgettable.     It's not a 10, it's not even an 9, for a childs game it might be an 8, but if you're older than 16 I doubt you're gonna truly love this game. In terms of being a puzzle game, the only issue anyone might have with solving them is simply being too blind to find the missing piece.     This game is an absolute Gem.! Made me more happy playing the first 5 minutes than some AAA titles. You can really enjoy the game as there is no grind and need to look for unnecessary collectibles. (only very few). The game has also a great length that it does not overstay it’s welcome. The story is interesting and will leave you satisfied. Created this account just to say how great it is.

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
