    The sniping in Sniper Elite 5 is still as gruesomely satisfying as in previous games, but various aspects of the game’s design actively take the spotlight away from it, making for a clunky and frustrating shooter.

    Sniper Elite 5 is a bad game, in part thanks to boring maps, lackluster graphics and a non-existent story, but most of all because of its fundamentally flawed AI that takes all the fun out of stealth and sniping.

    While Sniper Elite 5 introduces a generous amount of game mechanics that are new to the series, they aren’t especially unique when looking at the shooter genre at large. Sure, it’s good that Sniper Elite is now catching up, but it’s still got a ways to go. With that said, it’s a marked improvement over Sniper Elite 4 and fans of the franchise will no doubt find a lot to like here. It’s also on Xbox Game Pass and will be a fine addition to the line-up during a tumultuous time for the service. [Review in Progress]

    Sniper Elite 5 knows exactly who it’s aimed at, and Rebellion is on target as always. The developer’s dense French sandboxes are hugely replayable, and look fantastic to boot. There are some sloppy gameplay mechanics, like the climbing and twitchy camera, but these are easy to forgive. A wide array of difficulty options mean both super-agents and rookies can eke something out of this title, and with the release accommodating so many different play styles, it represents a real bullet to our heart – or should that be balls?     I can't continue playing this game. It is almost like they forgot to make the game revolve around sniping and long distances. This is a ton ofI can't continue playing this game. This is a ton of hallways and room to room combat There is no way you can engage without an alarm going off or being spotted then it's time to take o like 10 guys at once which nukes the immersion. The ai just has too sensitive hearing for you to get away with anything. Just feels like they corrupted the main snipey stealth factor that made these games fun. At the very least they should let you start off with all available suppressors If the ai are going to be this touchy . get ready to fight off 8 to ten guys at once with a **** cover system. not fun… Full Review »

    Not much has really improved in SE5 at all other than authentic mode, multiplayer is utter trash invasion mode is plagued with cheaters whoNot much has really improved in SE5 at all other than authentic mode, multiplayer is utter trash invasion mode is plagued with cheaters who can spam your location even before invasion phones are able to be used. Personally invasion phones are pointless and so are all of the easy modes as I beat the game on authentic an that is the best way to get your money out of the game.

    Anything multiplayer that isn't no cross is pretty much people running around and SMG-ing everyone


    Its like they really don't care about making anything actually fun in multiplayer why even add it into the damn game if you're not going to really invest any actually talent into making maps or flusbing out some good sniping maps.

    We buy a stupid clone year after year of a game and you give us stupid multiplayer and cheesy invasion mode that you ruin either by over thinking it as in invasion mode or utterly doing nothing as in multiplayer.

    Even survival mode is stupid as hell its pretty much defend a HQ and survive an the only point of the HQ is for ammo and medical care.

    Even in the stupid campaign their are way to many collectibles and bugs that still aren't patched.

    I'm really getting tired of buying games either filled with cheaters and or being bugged all to hell in back. Rebellion clearly just pushes out a mediocre campaign an weak multiplayer for a quick cash grab.

    Its time they let Karl die off and actually do something new other than giving us new missions each release or some stupidass zombie game whoch is more than played out by now they have absolutely zero creative talent or thinking skills.    … Full Review »
