    So since it's on Plus I decided to give it a go. The hate is deserved. I'm so glad I didn't pay for this. It's EVERYTHING wrong with modern media that's made by people who live in a bubble smelling their own farts. If you relate to any of these characters in any way you really need to get out more.     I almost didn’t play this game because of the negative reviews from users. The game is not perfect, it has bugs and the story is laughable (almost in a cult classic bad way), but it’s one of the few coop campaigns that exist in 2023. Beyond that it’s like a GTA clone with a multiplayer campaign. Spent 5 hours playing yesterday with a friend and had a blast, we will at least beat theI almost didn’t play this game because of the negative reviews from users.     Оружия в игре много, но всю игру прошел с пистолетом-пулемётом "Томпсон", на последнем боссе ещё 8 раз из гранатомёта выстрелил, всё. Более мне ничего не пригодилось.
    Физика машин ужасна. Они могу летать по полю как голубиные перья.
    ИИ врагов отсутствует как таковой. Фишка полиции это врезаться в тебя со всего маха и тут же взорваться. Никакой мало мальской тактики в их действиях, да и вообще у врагов, я не заметил.
    Ещё на PS5 ужасный звук, мотора машин почти не слышно, звуки выстрелов похожи на майонезные шлепки. А музыка вообще в игре не играет, не во время боя, не во время сцен. Только по радио в машинах.
    Короче, во всей игре мне более менее понравился только сюжет. Для Saints Row очень даже не плохой.
    В общем, хотя конечно не хочется так говорить, но я даже рад, что Volition закрылась. Надеюсь серия Saints Row больше никогда не возродится и останется в нашей памяти в виде весёлой и бесшабашной четвертой части, которая даже сейчас играется намного веселее этого непонятного "ремейка" 2022го года.
    Ещё непонятно почему игра так дорого стоила в PS Store, да ещё и цена на неё не падала почти год. Попробовал её только в PS Plus. А так, Volition, надо было брать пример с Capcom, ведь они свои восхитительные ремейки никогда не продавали за full-price. Если бы вы поступили так же, да ещё старания чуть больше вложили, может сейчас бы ваша студия и не почила в Бозе!
    Короче у кого есть подписка, можно попробовать, а покупать даже не думайте    … Expand

The game itself is super boring. And super sad that PS gives this bullsh1т like a game of the month on PS+. Wasting of time and money.     Got the game for free via PS Plus monthly games. Got bored by the EULA. Deleted the game without finishing the opening cutscene.

    Don't understand the hate one bit. This is one of the best games released so far in 2022. The writing is not on the level of RDR2, but I never expected it to be. It's a Saints Row game for crying out loud. The gameplay is fun, a good variety of weapons. The new characters are actually interesting with deep backstories. The venture building can get a little repetitive, but not moreso thanDon't understand the hate one bit. This is one of the best games released so far in 2022. There are bugs, but not anywhere near as close to Cyberpunk or AC Unity I have not encountered a single game breaking bug throughout my time with he game. I played 3-4 and this with the same custom boss which followed the voice actress (she is the same in all last games if you choose female voice 2) and it felt like a proper sequel. People forget in Saints Row 4 earth WAS DESTROYED and with Gat out of hell you did a hard reset on earth, so in a way, 5 makes sense, sorry, Saints Row 2022. The game is THE SAME as 3 remastered. The same grindy missions, the same endless killing, the same over the top set pieces, complete with a surreal one near the end which reminds us of the "housewife" matrix simulation in 4. What do I mean. Well, true Saints fans will understand. This game is a Saints Row game, from top to bottom. The same corny dialogues, being self aware, everything, along with the killing. The end battle is great, the showdown is great. This game is great. IF YOU KNOW SAINTS ROW. It is the SAME thing with the past ones. I honestly dont understand the reviews. The dialogue was ALWAYS like this. ALWAYS. These people make me wonder, have they EVER played a saints row? They think that is silly? Dude, Saints 3 ends with them being in a movie in mars.     Really outdated gameplay, Gunplay feels rigid and clunky especially on consoles, and the narratives focus oh the gangs friendship feels unearned. This game would’ve been a hit 7 years ago, but now it feels too outdated and not worth it unless you’re an extremely die hard fan.

    You just picked this up from the pawn shop for $10 how come I feel like I've been robbed where do I start first off this game is not saints row I don't care what the title says the characters we're horrible unrelatable the story garbage even since they've been updating it there's still a lot of bugs in the game don't buy it

    I found the game very fun and I don't understand why there are so many bad comments about it, the game is very fun and light, full of action, the type of game that doesn't take itself seriously but it works well. Very good graphics and performance, good soundtrack, interesting open world, lots of possibilities for character design and full of side missions. [Shooting, racing, flying and more]

    It's a very good game. The story is okay, some characters can be annoying, but overall it's good. The map is very large and contains many interesting activities, the city is also very detailed. The best aspect of the game is definitely building a criminal empire, buying real estate and fighting other gangs. I recommend! 9/10

    The characters, which everyone seems to hate, are no where near as bad as people say. They're likeable, fun characters that sometimes make a joke or two that don't work but I found myself liking them more than any previous Saints Row characters.
    The cars and weapons are fun to use and their customisation is unmatched, as is the main Boss. The amount of freedom you have when creating your character is incredible, especially after the most recent update improved compatability with various clothing items.

    The story could have been better (and longer), but I didn't hate it. I wish the other gangs were more fleshed out and their leaders were given more time though.

    Overall, this game has recieved way too much hate and all of these 0/10 reviews are skewing the user score and making this game seem way worse than it is.    … Expand

    Giving saints row a 3.9/10, had a giggle here and there out of this cringe game, would of been a 2.9 but I got it for free out of a playstation 5 bundle.

    The game is too short, and it feels like a lot of it is missing the boss fights don't feel like boss fights especially the first one Wich the game does it for you in a cut scene. The game it self is buggy and glitchy.

    After many patches and fixes and I picked the game for a fraction of it's price I had fun. I enjoyed the game for the price I paid for it and for around 15$ I had a blast. Open world, wackiness, humour, guns and lots of guns. It's not the game I wanted but ultimately enjoyed it for fraction of it's price

    I don't understand the haters. Yes, the game, in my opinion, is significantly worse than the previous one, but it's still good, very big, and very beautiful. It's a good game, not the best, but we can ride motorcycles and even use a sort of parachute, so it's quite comprehensive. Overall, it's a good game. The story might be a bit lackluster, but that's about it because the missions are perfect.

Z zalet można na pewno pochwalić mapę, która była mocno uporządkowana oraz schludna, klimatycznie nawet się wczułem. Mechanika edycji aut oraz broni mocno basicowa, ale nie ma co narzekać. Aktywności poboczne nawet ciekawe i muzyka mimo tego że częstoNie potrafię postawić tej gry obok całej reszty, ale skoro jest to według twórców restart serii, to ocenię Saints Row jako osobną produkcję. Twórcy chyba nie zrozumieli z czego SR zasłynął i czego gracze pragnęli po dowiedzeniu się o reboocie serii. Podsumowując samą grę, mocny średniak.     Don’t listen to all the **** kiddies. This game is great. No idea why they are review bombing it. There’s plenty of foul humor and insanity just like past games. I guess the **** children won’t be happy unless women are suffering as much as possible in the game. Ah well, incels will never be happy.

    I kinda like Saints Row. One, it always feels like there something fun to do. Two, the vehicles are really fun to use and get and the way you can customize them. Three, the character customization is good. There are 2 things that I have gripes about. The story feels like you can complete it pretty quickly, the last boss just sometimes feels unfair, and in the end game but I get a bitI kinda like Saints Row.     They alienated Saints fans with this dumpster fire PS2 looking attempt of a videogame.

    They replaced all the all the fun, boring and cringy characters that make you want to punch them in the face, a gun play worse than some ps1 games, Outdated physics systems and a miriad of bugs.

    Overall: Avoid this at all costs to show them what we really want.

    What isn't bad about this game? From Writing, graphics, story, characters, optimization...it fails on all accounts. I wouldn't be surprised if this game kills the franchise. This game should be a lesson for game developers on "what not to do". Ignore anyone giving this game high marks. There's a reason why this game did so poorly and caused its studio Volition to shut down...

If you like the old arcade like open world designs we used to have like Seeping Dogs, the old GTA's, etc like I do, you'll probably enjoy you're time, but I have to recommend getting it at around $30 sale. If your fine with paying $60 go ahead, but if you want to make sure you get your money out of it $30 is the way to go.… Expand

    Lackluster gameplay. Almost all the AI are bullet sponges that aren't intelligent. The graphics look like they're from the Xbox 360 era. Cringy characters that feel the furthest thing from gangsters. The story is forgettable and lifeless with horrible writing. Radio stations feel lifeless compared to other games.The only good thing about this game is the character creation.

    I actually borrowed Saints Row from my local library, and even though it's "free" and has received several updates since the launch, I am finding myself struggling to like it.

    For the most part, the gun-play is pretty solid, and there's some awesome moments (mainly story missions) that feel satisfying, and engaging. However, I strongly dislike the fact that there's no dedicated cover    I actually borrowed Saints Row from my local library, and even though it's "free" and has received several updates since the launch, I am finding myself struggling to like it.

    For the most part, the gun-play is pretty solid, and there's some awesome moments (mainly story missions) that feel satisfying, and engaging. However, I strongly dislike the fact that there's no dedicated cover system. Instead you press down on the d-pad to "duck" and try to find cover in throughout the environment, which just feels arbitrary and tacky. Luckily your character is built like a sponge, and you can take many hits, but it downgrades the experience knowing you can stand there and take a lot of hits before you need to run around a corner and recover health. I also don't like how you can't switch your down the sights aiming from left to right shoulder. It is perpetually locked to the character's right shoulder, and there are times you really wish you could swap shoulders and perspectives in the process.

    The biggest offender for me though the HUD. I wish it had options to choose what you want displayed, or at least resize the HUD and/or move it closer to the corners of the screen. It's too invasive, and often times smack in the way and blocks your ability to see when you're driving to a destination. Playing a mission that involves driving to your destination? There's a HUGE circle icon on the horizon that sits squarely in your peripheral vision, making it difficult to see oncoming traffic and even road hazards.

    Also, the world that Volition created tries hard to be memorable, but it falls flat on its face. Everything feels bare, devoid of any excitement or strong attention t details, and the NPCs are beyond lame with their dreary ho-hum thoughts they say out loud. Everything just feels so cliche.

    I am glad I didn't pay actual money to play this game, but that I was able to give it a shot and see if it was for me. It's not, and I actually turned it off after about 10-12 hours since it simply never got any better, and felt like a chore to play.

    I'm looking forward to other open world games we're getting this year. Hopefully they don't disappoint like Saints Row.    … Expand

    A lot of negative reviews about this one but as of writing (Jan 8 2022) it seems to be in a much better state. Still a few quirky bugs but far from game breaking or slowing down the fun in any way. Reminds me of playing GTA 5 online but without the annoying other players (no shade if thats your thing ). Id recommend the game to anyone who just wants to turn off your brain and play a video game.

When i had heard this was going to be more like the first 2 I instantly preordered it, but when i bought it i was disappointed cause the dialog sucked the action sucked the game play sucked.     I hope Volition doesn’t give up, fixes the major bugs and brings great expansions. Under all the hate there is a good and fun game.

    If mediocrity is your thing, then look no further. This reboot follows a standard open-world action game template while eschewing most of the wild sense of humor and chaos that made its predecessors (in)famous. Not a "bad" game after several patches, but it remains difficult to recommend at full price.

    The game is fun for what it is. It had a rough start.

    Experienced some small bugs... nothing really crazy! The only thing i find annoying are the texture loading/distortions on the bridges in the game.

    I haven't tested the latest patches that has more than 200 bug fixes.

Game got stuck on last level with character on fire in some weird location and tjen saved so when i loaded it back thats all that showed . THE GAME IS BROKEN. i personally dont care to see it fixed.

The gameplay was awful, the shooting feels spongey and the gameplay overall is awful. Overall, the game is the worst game I've played this year and it makes Saints Row IV And Gat Out of Hell look like masterpieces.     Remember, this game was delayed from January to August. There is literally no reason to play this game. The gameplay isn't fun, the visuals are worse than the previous game Saints Row The Third. The story makes no sense and you never end up caring about any of the main characters. The guns feel like toys. I somehow managed to play 3 hours of this nightmare and that's 3 hours too long.

    Du Gameplay à l'histoire le jeu tient tout sauf ses promesses, On pense diriger un gang quand en réalité on a l'impression d'être le gérant de la MJC du coin.

    Niveau Histoire, tout est sujet à rigolade, ici , vous ne trouverez aucun évènement aussi marquant que ceux de Saints Row 2 ou 3. Les membres fondateurs du groupe ont plus la dégaine d'acteurs de sitcoms des années 2000 que de vrais gangsters. Et même dans le peu de quêtes qu'offrent le mode histoire, il n'y aura qu'une ou deux missions qui seront vraiment mémorables. Mot qui d'ailleurs, est tout le contraire de l'ensemble des personnages que vous allez croiser dans le jeu.

    Concernant le gameplay, honnêtement je ne saurais par ou commencer :
    - Les NPCs ont encore que deux réponses en tête quand ils vous voient : fuir ou tirer pour les plus braves d'entre eux
    - Les multiples bugs qui vous font sortir de la map ou qui vous bloquent sur des missions du mode HISTOIRE
    - La physique des voitures, car bien qu'elles soient assez agréable à conduire (j'ai bien aimé les drift en Raycaster), elles restent sacrément horribles à prendre en main à partir du moment ou vous utiliserez un grappin pour attacher un autre truc à eux
    - Le système de BARRE DE VIE ??!? Dans un jeu OPEN WORLD, Sérieux ?? C'est insupportable de devoir vider 2-3 chargeurs pour un seul ennemi

    Alors bien sur vous pourrez toujours modifier la résistance des ennemis, ou bien même masquer les barres de vie des voitures/ennemis, ça reste un ajout assez plaisant, mais de ce j'ai pu tester ça rendra le jeu soit trop facile, soit trop dur.

    Malheureusement je ne pourrai pas vous parler de mon expérience sur la Co-op parce que déjà je n'ai nullement l'envie d'imposer ce semblant de "jeu" à mes proches, mais aussi parce que je vois pas l'intérêt de visiter une map aussi vide et sans intérieur qu'on soit deux ou pas.

    Donc si vous souhaitez jouer en espérant avoir un Saints Row 2,3 voire au pire du pire 4, vous vous trompez gravement.
    Par contre vous souhaitez jouer à un jeu finissable assez rapidement, avec une bonne customisation de personnages vous allez trouver votre bonheur (si le jeu ne crash pas toutes les 4h ).    … Expand

Gameplay is soo OLD and it's so boring, the activities are all the same and the gunplay is completely garbage. There are lots of bug and glitches too. The game isn't bad overall, in 2011-12 i would gave this game an 8, but it's 2022 and this game feels like a PS3 game, what a shame.

    I don't understand all the hate, it's one of the funniest game ever played, it's just a little buggy but that's not a serious problem, it just reminds me of the old saints row, really good game

    It was clear to me from the trailer this was going to be bad but despite my misgivings I wanted to give it a go given how much I liked the previous versions. But almost everything about this game spits in the face of previous games.

    Starting from the character creator that where not only is it there very few options to customise how you want to look but apparently there is no easy way to choose if you are male or female because that obviously offend some blue haired wack job that was never going to play the game anyway.

    All the characters in this are annoying prats that I wanted to die. There is nothing of the style, glamor or larger then life appeal that the other games in the series had. The men are either total wimps or fat lumps and none of the women are attractive.

    If you want a fun game stay away from this and go play Saints Row 3.    … Expand

Not only that, they are probably gushing over this pile of CRAP, LOLOL. Just look at the scores. This series was never all that great to begin with. Average at best.
