    Anyone not giving this game at least a 9, are little kids expecting a Call of Duty experience. This game is an absolute masterpiece. The type of game that you may need to die a few times until it clicks for you. And it clicks with most people in one sitting. This game is gorgeous and has improved the original in so many ways, I couldn't list them all here. Buy this game.     Aside from a few questionable omissions, overall I’d say this is the greatest remake of all time for one of the greatest video games of all time.

    It was just the right balance of keeping the important stuff intact whilst changing a few things to freshen up the experience.

    I felt like a kid and like it was 2005 all over again. ☺️

    Incredible improvement on the original. Capcom has been killing it with RE and this game is no exception.

    Great story, great gameplay, memorable villains and boss fights, what more can you ask?

    One of the best games in recent years, can't even call it a remake. The title takes the base of RE4 and expands on in immensely. It cured my gaming impotency for crying out loud.

    As someone who never played the original Resident Evil 4, I can say that the remake is an excellent introduction to the game. The updated graphics and gameplay mechanics are impressive, and the storyline is engaging and suspenseful. The survival horror elements of the game keep you on the edge of your seat, while the action sequences provide a nice change of pace.     Following the excellent remakes of Resi 2+3 capcom have gone and exceeded all expectations, this is a true 10/10 game and definitely a contender for GOTY, now give us Code Veronica Remake!!!

    I would rate this an 11 if possible. Capcom is so far beyond most of their peers. They are in a golden age. The people running that studio, directing and producing these games, building the engine, have a tremendous vision and they know how to iterate. The open secret is that resident evil 4 did not need a remake. It was even re-released a year ago for VR. How many games from theI would rate this an 11 if possible. How many games from the early 2000’s can you think of that could be re-released today and still be received well? It’s an elite list of timeless games like RE4, Half Life 2 and a handful of others. It’s because they are good games that are fun to play and have such a quality art style that they are always nice to look at even though technology has moved forward. So no, RE4 doesn’t need a remake. A HD rerelease with new textures would have suited it fine (and some fans have already done this). But what we got is so f***ing good that it justifies its own existence. This is one of the best games ever all on its own. So thank you Capcom, again, for your dedication to quality from top to bottom: Concept, Art, Level Design, Combat, Graphics, Performance, Cinematics. This game excels in every category, and once again sets the benchmark for action horror.… Expand

    Let me put y’all onto something, the negative reviews are from perverts who are pissed that you can’t look up Ashley’s skirt because she actually has AI that knows how to climb down a ladder. The game is a perfect 10, it does everything the OG Resident Evil 4 did but does it 10x better than the original.

    Despite me being someone who said they should not remake this game, I cannot deny that this improves upon the original in so many ways in terms of combat, player choices, weapons, enemy behaviour and variety, scale and atmosphere. It's an even bigger game, clealry made with love and respect for the original.     Wow they did it, made another greatest game of all time. To spite the game urinalists this is a reminagining of the origional and dosent detract from th origional GC Masterpeice at all. Just now there is 2 legendary games named RE4. Game is perfect besides the dead zone on Xbox needs fixing .

    Después de sacar el platino del juego, creo que puedo dar una opinión objetiva como voz autorizada. No entiendo la cantidad de hate al juego, porque es una obra maestra, RE4 Remake hizo lo imposible, superar la obra maestra que fue el RE4 Original. Se que muchos no estarán de acuerdo con esta afirmación, principalmente por el factor nostalgia que evita que puedan quitarse la venda de laDespués de sacar el platino del juego, creo que puedo dar una opinión objetiva como voz autorizada. No entiendo la cantidad de hate al juego, porque es una obra maestra, RE4 Remake hizo lo imposible, superar la obra maestra que fue el RE4 Original. Se que muchos no estarán de acuerdo con esta afirmación, principalmente por el factor nostalgia que evita que puedan quitarse la venda de la subjetividad, pero RE4 Remake es superior en todos los apartados sin duda, graficamente, en sonido, en jugabilidad, en desarrollo de personajes, etc...

    Hay algunos niños rata que están molestos porque no incluyeron el contenido adicional del RE4 original como Separate Ways o por que incluyeron las microtransacciones... Dude, esas microtransacciones no son obligatorias, las compras si quieres, si no, no es necesario comprarlas, no entiendo porque tanto lloriqueo sobre este tema. Por otro lado los DLCs estarán próximamente disponibles también.

    En conclusión, mi consejo es que no se dejen influenciar por las malas reseñas de Metacritic, seguramente muchas de esas personas no jugaron el juego, RE4 Remake no te decepcionara, hizo un trabajo magistral, si acaso lo único que no me gustó fue que Leon se mueve algo lento, pero eso le agrega un factor de tensión extra que le viene muy bien al Gameplay. 10/10 Capcom la volvió a romper.    … Expand

    Great game and great games deserves to be recommended and played. Especially good if you play in Performance Mode and disable a few settings and adjust the aiming. Also a VRR supported display is recommended to mitigate any stuttering.

    Not much to add here, except that this is a perfect remake. It modernizes, reinvents and at the same time, stays very true to the source material. It doesn't feel rushed or lacking content like RE3 remake. Also, superb production values, much better writing and creepier atmosphere than the original.

    Just beautiful.

    A masterpiece remake for a masterpiece game RE4 achieved GOAT status back in 2005.
    In 2023 capcom enhanced the experience to suit new comers and its the best way to go.

    A CAPCOM conseguiu ser fiel ao original ao mesmo tempo em que insere novos elementos, cenários e nuances nesse remake. A jogabilidade continua extremamente agradável, mesmo tendo sido modernizada, não perder a essência. Foram feitos cortes de cenas e cenários do cenários, mas as adições de novos elementos compensam totalmente, além de que as cenas cortadas podem ser adicionadas numaA CAPCOM conseguiu ser fiel ao original ao mesmo tempo em que insere novos elementos, cenários e nuances nesse remake. A jogabilidade continua extremamente agradável, mesmo tendo sido modernizada, não perder a essência. Foram feitos cortes de cenas e cenários do cenários, mas as adições de novos elementos compensam totalmente, além de que as cenas cortadas podem ser adicionadas numa eventual DLC da Ada.     I'd like to start with the people signing their own L's on Metacritic for all to see, just because you can't figure out enemy patterns or a method to fight against them doesn't make the game bad. It makes your ability to adapt and learn questionable to say the very least. That and "It doesn't feel like a RE game" absolute waffle    This is arguably one of the best remakes Capcom have done.

That and "It doesn't feel like a RE game" absolute waffle from people on their high throne trying to cast judgement too many people are trying to live off the days of fixed camera angles.

    Whilst not being a perfect 1 to 1 remake, I don't think that would have been the right thing to do. There are plenty of areas within the game that just feel incredibly familiar even without it being a direct copy of the original. It targets a nostalgic portion and targets a newer crowd a good mix that isn't trying to just be a simple copy paste something which RE2:Remake was guilty of. The fact this game isn't trying to be an entire copy paste is the reason its probably the best remake in the series.

    Puzzles have been slightly improved so they no longer are of the bog standard basic version that the OG RE4 were. Another nod to the nostalgic portion of RE fans who can never be pleased.    … Expand

    Revisitar esse clássico foi muito gratificante, todas as mudanças foram muito bem vindas e atualizaram o game para um novo público. Muitas cenas, capazes de provocar crises de riso como o Leon pulando sobre as paredes de laser foram retiradas perpetuando um tom mais sério ao jogo. Jogabilidade perfeita, história é a mesma que conhecemos, e gráficos estonteantes

    Great game, they fix everything of what was wrong in the original, dont get me wrong, the original is a masterpiece, but this is by far superior, they fix mechanics and added things that the original didnt have, a new classic, love it.

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
