Jun 6, 2023Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX is a solid iteration of a classic shoot 'em up which will always remain one of my favourites thanks to its incredible gameplay and action-packed campaign that'll keep you glued to the screen. Plus, there are oodles of extras which is great.

Jun 6, 2023Raiden III x Mikado Maniax isn’t the most content-laden shoot ’em up package, nor is it the best looking. It’s impossible to recommend it over its follow ups, which overall are simply better games. But despite all that, this is still a great shoot ’em up which has stood the test of time. And so, if you’ve already acquired the newer entries in the series but want yet more Raiden action, this will serve you well.

Jun 8, 2023Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX is ultimately a good if unspectacular rerelease of a nearly 20-year-old game, but it’s really only for die-hard fans of the genre. At the end of the day, this was only ever a solid entry in the series, and nothing here has changed that. The new music is nice, but not enough to justify the game’s cost. This is the sort of game that would be best reissued as part of a Raiden collection instead of being released on its own.
