    Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is Square Enix’s attempt to come back after the disaster that was Marvels Avengers. Well I’m glad to say this game is better in a few ways. Let’s get into it. The game is quite linear and there aren’t many paths to follow but the paths there are are few. You’ll have to keep an eye out for components that Rocket works on Peter Quill’s suit for upgrades.Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is Square Enix’s attempt to come back after the disaster that was Marvels Avengers. Well I’m glad to say this game is better in a few ways. Let’s get into it. The game is quite linear and there aren’t many paths to follow but the paths there are are few. You’ll have to keep an eye out for components that Rocket works on Peter Quill’s suit for upgrades. Being an RPG man myself I would have liked abilities to be unlocked via levels and natural progression rather than finding things in each level. For the special moves there are skill points earned in battles with enemies. You can only upgrade Star Lord’s (Peter Quill’s) suit via the found components. Not anyone else’s suit. The other character have 4 different special moves they can do like Star Lord. I didn’t realize this til later chapters though. Silly me. The suits are only cosmetic and give no in game effect. This being a square game and a somewhat of an RPG I expected the suits to actually do something in game since the price of the game was 70$ with those extra suits bought for the preorder. I was let down due to that. I’ve never been that into the GOTG but this was a nice Action RPG from Square so I wanted to show my support. The games story is okay I suppose. The crazy cultists bad guys always seem to be in media these days and it gets annoying. It especially gets annoying when they don’t know wether they are a cult or a church. They are two different things but the characters don’t seem to be educated enough to know the difference. I was surprised at the music that Star Lord liked in this particular game. It was much different than that of the GOTG movie. No Jackson 5, no Come and Get Your Love…. There were songs missing that could have made the game more enjoyable. The huddling mechanic where the team comes together to have a pep talk mid battle seemed a bit out of place and when fighting enemies mid battle you really wouldn’t even dream of doing that or you’d definitely die. Overall the game is a unique experience but it isn’t without flaws. The game had glitches in it multiple times. I can count them on one hand but they made me redo parts of the game which wasted precious time and I didn’t quite enjoy that. I feel Square has a long way to go to get this genre of game to be enjoyable as their classic JRPG works. It stated to fee repetitive and exhausting toward the end. They talk a lot!! I mean ALOT!! I wanted them to be quiet sometimes, but I’m an introverted person maybe that’s why. That made me not able to play this game all at once. The customizing options for the game was good however and it makes it accessible to anyone. That I was glad about. I didn’t want a Dark Souls or Sekiro title here every thought those have their place. I’m glad GOTG doesn’t play like that. So for the conclusion game is better than Avengers. No online. Single player, fun to a degree. The story isn’t very good. The music wasn’t all that. The voice acting was good. Glitches may throw you back a few hours. The game gets repetitive and looks beautiful but lacks something older Square Enix titles have. It didn’t feel all that special. The gameplay takes a backseat for the narrative which pushes you where it wants you to go rather than you having the freedom to choose. I give The Guardians of the Galaxy a 6 out of 10. I played may Square games over the years so maybe my expectations for this one was a bit high. I hope they get the formula for their superhero games down in the future. I’ll see y’all later.     The flarkin greatest Superhero game ever made and I say that with Spider-Man being my favorite Hero by far. The combat is engaging and fluid, the dialogue is Mass Effect-esque in all the best ways, the environments are beautiful and at times mind-blowing and the story is simply one of the most well written stories ever put in a video game.. and those final 2 chapters made this the bestThe flarkin greatest Superhero game ever made and I say that with Spider-Man being my favorite Hero by far.     It is a good single-player adventure with relaxed gameplay, nice characters, beautiful locations and finished plot. Took about 20 hours to complete and it was the most interesting AAA game that has been released released this year. Do not be afraid of something similar to Marvel's Avengers, it is completely different videogame

    UPDATE: I have encountered a game breaking bug on chapter 10. Alerted the deva on reddit and still no fix. I only have one save and cant progress. Only option is to completely restart the campaign. Beware, very very buggy. Story is great but not if you can’t ply it…bumping from a 9 to a 7. The most fun I’ve had playing a single player campaign in a long, long time.

    Great story, awesome characters, good gameplay. Gorgeous graphics! A little bit of bugs on release. Best game of 2021 for me.

    Literally created an account for the first time to say how underrated this game is. Great single player triple A experience which most studios wouldn't take a risk of making. Reminds me of old linear games I would enjoy like Uncharted 2. I'm playing on an OLED tv, the visuals and graphics are stunning.     This game is amazing the story is perfect and the characters are perfect and the visuals are perfect but there are some bugs I hope they will fix it in the future overall one of the best games I’ve played in the last 5 years

    Extremely FUN, the game is really awesome, too bad It got a "bad marketing" because is really a surprise.
    It's not a perfect game on the technical side because of his "cross-gen nature" but the story is GREAT, far better than the movies of MCU, gameplay funny and action.

    Me ha parecido un juegazo de los que hacía tiempo que no jugaba. A nivel argumental es una historia original, entretenida muy en la linea de guardianes de la galaxia. El doblaje al castellano es espectacular, a nivel jugable es dinámico y responde con suavidad. Muy recomendable

    Guardians of the Galaxy is a game that fans will love and non fans will like. My experience with it was a mixed bag though. Here are the bullet points:

    - terrible save system, auto saves override manual saves - only 5 bosses: the 2nd boss is on a timer and doesn't require you to even fight, while the final boss is easily one of the worst designed boss fights I've ever played since it    Guardians of the Galaxy is a game that fans will love and non fans will like. My experience with it was a mixed bag though. Here are the bullet points:

    - terrible save system, auto saves override manual saves
    - only 5 bosses: the 2nd boss is on a timer and doesn't require you to even fight, while the final boss is easily one of the worst designed boss fights I've ever played since it is basically a game of projectile spam, waves of minions, and quick time events
    - enemies are repetitive and for the most part not really that interesting
    - tiresome arguments between characters that never cease (they don't stop talking, ever)
    - the characters are great as per usual Marvel standards
    - choices do have some consequences, but most are inconsequential
    - streaming music mode puts large annoying distracting text at top of screen
    - exploration is scarce and mostly pointless (some nice skins, that's about it)
    - you can find way more upgrade materials than upgrades are available, negating need to explore for them
    - auto aim lock on system switches between enemies when many enemies are present preventing ability to aim properly, especially in the final boss fight, even when you have the option not to break lock on checked (I imagine this is a glitch, but I can't be sure)
    - lots of time wasting activities and conversations between actual interesting gameplay
    - extremely average puzzles that seem to exist to pad out game time
    - won't run at 60FPS/4K on PS5 (enjoy 1080p yay)
    - lots of bugs, many game breaking requiring restart. This happened every single chapter in the game (so more than a dozen). Most common bug was the menu for Guardian abilities not working when you need a Guardian ability to proceed, forcing a restart
    - Huddle mechanic is one of the worst mechanics in a game (interrupt fights to stop and chat like a football timeout, then pick one of 2 choices to get damage buff, and a lot of the time the right choice is impossible to determine)
    - photo mode is bound to L3/R3, but you must use those buttons for other actions, causing you to drop into photo mode accidentally frequently
    - phenomenal soundtrack (even with streaming mode turned on)
    - great voice acting
    - good graphics, harmed by lack of 60fps/4k but supported by 30fps 4k
    - many scenes can be skipped by mashing circle, but many can't be skipped
    - is linear, but for this style of game that's in its favour rather than a bad thing

    Ultimately the incredible visuals and music made this game as enjoyable as it was, though on PS5 those visuals are not the beautiful 4K visuals the PC version has unless you want a 30fps gameplay experience.

    The combat is pretty shallow all things considered, despite there being a few nice synergies between different Guardian's abilities.

    By the end of the game I was bored with the combat and tired of the banter. There is an NG+ that enables you to try some different options to see what very slightly different outcomes you might get, but I'm happy to have played it once and to leave it at that.

    This one is really for lovers of the comic. If you're on PC, it's also for lovers of virtual photography. But for lovers of deep and engaging gameplay, not so much.    … Expand

    È un gioco rivoluzionario action adventure molto interattivo e divertente. Ogni capitolo è vario e interattivo. Bella grafica è un gameplay spettacolare. Spero di vederlo migliorare sulla fluidità e correggere qualche glitch e bug. Spero che Jean Francois realizzi un secondo capitolo su questa strada del single player. Magari un Gameplay chesi appresta sulle 40 ore di gameplay lineare con nuova varietà di minigiochi ed enigmi da sfruttare diversi personaggi tutti gli eroi sempre Star Lord maggiormente protagonista.     This game is not good for its price buy at $10 or free. I dont think this game is linear and its not really fun for that. Story is there but we have the movie storys. So didnt need another stroy and the game studio is nah we dont want them around any longer,

    Well this is certainly not what I've expected from the game. This has been the best Marvel game I've played so far. The story and characters are superb, it's like you're looking at the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The gameplay is a lot of action and it may be the only issue I have - it might seem repetitive for some people. I had tons of fun. I finished the game in approximately 20 hours.

    An awesome game! It's like interactive marvel movie. Jokes are funny, story is interesting, there is no microtransactions, soundtrack is great, visual part is more than great - this game is must to be played. I think it will be the game of the year 2021!

    gameplay is fantastic, story is great. graphic look great.. Rocket, Star-Lord aka Peter, Gamora and Drax are great characters in this game. it is hell fun game ever i playing. hope it getting sequel

    This game was amazing. sure there are still a few kinks to work out but overall it was a very enjoyable experience. the combat was really fun and all of the conversations/voice lines were really funny. I don't think I have ever clipped a game as much as this one. i highly recommend you play this game. Square Enix really made up for the abomination avengers game. very well done.

The huddle feature is great as you wait to see what song you'll get, although I must admit that getting "Don't worry be happy" when you are fighting a massive group of baddies can be a bit off tempo (which in itself is kinda hysterical), plus the game rick rolls you ;). The story is reallyThe game was so much fun, my teenage son actually came to check on me because I was laughing so much.     Just beat GotG. Very enjoyable game. I still am not high on the combat, but the story and characters were really fun. They did a great job capturing the funness of the good Marvel movies.

    Really enjoyable game. Couldn't put it down, beat it in a single weekend. Battles were a lot of fun and beautiful. OUTSTANDING soundtrack (can't stress this enough) and genuinely funny. A welcome break from the MCU watered down story telling.

    Downside is the limited replayability / spaceship controls.

    Amazing dialog, story, set pieces, combat, graphics. Almost didn't buy it day one but glad I did. If you love good immersive fun single player games, don't miss out on this one!

    The 2020s are hilarious, these devs put breast physics on DRAX but made Gamora flat as a surfboard..Got keep their overlord Anita Sarkesian happy and desexualise those gal's..     Another modern game padded out with mindless walking around looking at stuff. Combat was fun for a short period, but quickly becomes repetative with all the usual cookie cutter loot and leveling systems you see everywhere.
    I've heard a lot of people liked the dialogue, but there were people that liked Death stranding dialogue..Both games were cringe and safe..Play the og San Andreas or Dragon age , those games had good dialogue.    … Expand

    Phenomenal game. Filled to the brim with banter, and I was invested with every character. Great story, gameplay, and graphics. Exactly what I'd want out of a Guardians game. Do yourself a favor and play this gem!!!

    This game us super fun! I have to admit I had no expectations on this game but I really liked it. Storytelling, characters and dialogues are really good.
    But I have to say combat is mediocre so some people will not like this one especially the ones who hate comic book stuff. But if you are a fan or you like games with funny and good dialogue you will probably like this one.

    Just completed the game and damn was that a hell of a ride. 18-20 hours of story/ gameplay inc. outfit and collectables hunting. Brilliant story, great combat, awesome acting. Deep comic cuts keeping you on your toes. Very humorous and excellent Score + 80's soundtrack...8/10

    My advice is, play the game once, and you'll enjoy the majority of it all the way through, but more than once you'll notice the technical and fundamental mechanics aren't all up to snuff.

    Graphically the game looks okay, i mean it's not a PS5 game and it's just an enhanced PS4 version.     Sound is probably the best the game has to offer, from the sword slices to the blasters but mostly from the dialogue. The game realises what the average marvel fan wants - their characters talking and it does it brilliantly.

    It's still pretty bugged all the way through though. It just needed a couple months to iron them out, so a lot of time you'll be "load last checkpoint" to fix them. Quality control in 2020-2021 has severally fallen. So star lord will get stuck in debris, icons or UI will get stuck on screen, some events (mist puzzle solution) may not work as intended and your left with no option to move forward than load last checkpoint. On the PS5 one collectable is impossible to get with the correct developer way. You move toward a ledge and are stuck in a forever move back and forward along the same ledge. You can't escape the loop.

    Don't go near the ledge to walk across at all or it'll bug out. Go to the far left and just jump boot across, the plants look as if you'll fall through them, but there's enough to just hop across without actually landing properly at the other side to collect it.

    Some trophies may also look a lot like RNG but there's a trick to them, and they're not as hard to pull of as you think. Drax and the inquisitor for example. don't overthink it. Don't use special powers, switch difficulty to easy. and just use blasters. Takes a little time still but on the second health bar out of nowhere the Triangle will show up. Honestly the game is full of little nuances that'll annoy you the more you play.

    The game also has more filler than you'll find in most games (you will do a lot of walking, where you are unable to run). Filler like the brain maze, or the drax mind maze... just to lengthen the game time (there is a lot of that, some of it isn't bad though, it's just more obvious the second time you play it).

    Also has more sliding down chute sections that would make tomb raider blush. It even has a part where it feels as if it was ripped out of Mass Effect 2, you'll know it when you see it. It involves a moving platform. Also none of the choices you make really matter; it's not a true interactive experience. Feels mostly as if they wanted to do more with it but time restraints just make it feel false and empty. You lose nothing, you gain nothing. Linear is there to stay. So just enjoy what choice you want; don't overthink it.

    Guardians of the Galaxy takes elements from many different games to create a very generic single player experience. Without the dialogue, the music, and character interactions. It'd be maybe a 5. hollow clunky repetitive with a few throwaway take control of the ship experience.

    But hey no microtransactions, and you don't have to pay for "new outfits" as they are back to being collectable things in the game. And there is a new game plus in case you missed anything. (you can't skip cutscenes, and can only skip some parts of the dialogue though).

    Overall it's a fun game, and it's good. It's not perfect, and certainly has its share of bugs. But it's a slightly better Marvel Avengers although the overall storyline is still on par with it. Again. no online item level mumbo jumbo and no microtransactions. (that cannot be mentioned enough).    … Expand

    - the game runs smooth and is very pc friendly

    - the game looks very good

    - of course the 80s music makes everything in the game so much better

    - the amount of funny dialog between the characters ,makes the whole game so real and as if you are watching the movie

    - the enemies have a cool very guardians of the galaxy feel to them

    - the huddle up mechanic which is basically a clutch button that you press for everyone to regroup on you and motivate everyone with 80s music is just so cool i sometimes used it for no reason just for the cool factor and of course to get rick rolled by the game

    - the space battles with your ship are a bit clunky but a surprisingly warm welcome i was seriously surprised they added them at all

    - the amount of times i laughed out loud because the jokes and humor were on point the whole game just try's to have fun with you and ease up very serious situations with humor and funny moments

    - the tale tale choices mechanic were also a warm welcome and they actually change the story the whole thing was very minor making you choose between 2 answers but still cool nonetheless

    cons:

    - no depth what so ever on the upgrade bench

    - no depth what so ever in the skills you choose for the guardians

    - combat is a little clunky and i switched to easy mode because all the enemies are basically bullet sponges plus its really disappointing you cant take over the other characters your just stuck with starlord giving orders to everyone

    - a lot of bugs and glitches found myself reloading the checkpoint a lot just because a wall didn't break or something didn't render or the game just straight up glitched out

    - the story felt a bit stretched at the end and isn't the strongest part of the game

    - Near the end they just started to recycle enemies and it felt like at some point Im fighting the same 4 types over and over again

    - sometimes the game will bug and everyone will just repeat their voice lines in battle like 3 or 4 times they have to fix it quick it really annoyed me and took off the whole immersion

    in conclusion the guardians of the galaxy surprised me a lot, a single player game with no microtransaction and actually done good this time unlike the avengers game ? now that's something very rare.

    i strongly recommend this game for marvel fans but only after a month or 2 because they got to fix the bugs and glitches which brings me to my final score a 8 out of 10    … Expand

    With all the lifelike dialogues this really feels like being in the movies. I even like those characters partly better than the "real" ones. Combat is also fun. Best movie adaptation to date.

    First off the combat looked boring when I first witnessed it and playing it didn't change my mind. Its slow, heavy, and clunky. You can't have shortcuts for special attacks, you must always go through a sub menu to command your team. The ps5 has a touch pad and doesn't utilize it which would have been great for shortcuts. (swipe up, down, left, right)
    It also doesn't help that you can't change the buttons on the controller. Locking on is buggy and not worth using, so I'd rather change that top button to dash/dodge if I could.
    I also wish Star Lord had better attacks. Most of time I forget he has specials. In battle, he's much less of a commanding leader and more of a cheerleader since it's your team that will do the heavy lifting.

    -Story
    The story seems fine. I think it takes too long to get to it though. The first 2 hour level is filled with so much padding that was clearly unnecessary. Remember in GoG2 when the guardians were introduced during a huge monster fight, that would have been great in a video game format to learn the gameplay and characters but no, we get a long drawn out tutorial to do the same puzzles over and over again.
    The dialog in the game is great. The team banters and jokes like you expect they would. Here's the problem though, they talk way more than you would want them to. You may think this is fine but if you plan on listening to everything they say, you better expect to stop every minute to hear 2 minutes of dialog. And don't you dare pick up an item because then they will interrupt each other for new dialog. This is the prime example of the dog going "SQUIRREL!"
    I like story and dialog in games and I never thought I'd say this in a story based game, but damn they need to shut up every once in a while.

    Overall, It's not a bad game. It's a fine movie. With the amount of work they put into the world, environment, and characters, I wish they would have concentrated on a better combat system and better upgrade system. I think they put more work in their accessibility menu than their rpg elements.

    Near perfect! I was super excited to play, and darn the anticipation was worth it. I experienced some bugs but not game breaking...like the slide towards the end...but I only dinged it a point for some plot convenience. Some things just happened to push the story...but still darn good. Wish I could keep playing for the first time...but it is over. Hope there is a sequel

    To put it simply, it’s a near flawless game. Story is one of the bests I’ve played, amazing graphics, surprisingly fun gameplay, and never a boring moment with all the fun dialogue. Also the choices you get to make throughout the story is a great addition. Would highly recommend to everyone, especially those who love a good story driven game.

    This is actually huge surprise. I was not paying attention to this game because it had Avengers vibes. But based on reviews I gave it a try and so far Im really satisfied. This is high quality single player game with awesome writing and fun action.

The dualsense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, imitating the exact feel of StarLord's repulsors, just heighten the all senses to an absolute peak level. The performance mode on PS5 is super smooth, although I would recommend testing the quality mode from time to time as well (during exploration sequences), to really get a sense of how much detail has been put into these characters and environment. With the Ray Tracing update on it's way to next-gen consoles, this game is a definite must play right now, and must be replayed for alternative dialogue options that pop-up in almost any situation/action. This game is beautifully crafted from start to finish and is miles ahead of both the movies that portray the guardians of the galaxy. Every next-gen console and pc owner must experience this game first hand, and if you can get your hands on the PlayStation 5 system, then definitely don't play this without the haptics and the triggers enabled, alongside the controller speaker.     Genuinely surprised and happy I chose to spend my $60 on this game. So far I’ve been blown away by the charm, passion, and polish that’s gone into this game. It’s actually funny and is extremely well presented, with a worth while story. Definitely a game of the year contender.

    From the beginning till the end the game is pure fun. Despite some minor issues and specific combat system it's one of the greatest games of 2021. Decent graphics, awesome storytelling and characters, the game manages to capture your attention right from the start and does not overwhelm or bore you in the process. Totally recommended!

The combat is a little simplistic as well as the upgrade system, but it really starts to pick up the more abilities you upgrade, and it was insanely fun to combine all of the Guardian's abilities, syncing them together with the correct items to do large amounts of damage to one heavy enemy of lay waste to a bunch of smaller enemies. The level design is excellent and the soundtrack, while horrendous for streamers with all the copyrighted music, has great choices. I think the biggest flaw of the game is that the mechanics of the game are really too simple, and there isn't a whole lot of depth despite the almost DMC-style of ranking system after every battle. You don't really get combos with melee or your guns, and the main way of showing style is how you combine and use your team's abilities. Overall you can tell this game had much more flavor and personality in comparison to Avengers, and doens't feel nearly as generic. It is fresh and fun, and I'm happy because there is probably going to be young kids playing this game and absolutely loving it. That, and no microtransactions plus a NG+ mode means I'll probably do another playthrough soon.… Expand

    The writing is nowhere near the standard of the films, obviously. I say obviously but it shouldn't be obvious really. There must be young, talented indie sitcom writers who could write better, funnier dialogue than this. It's not awful, it's just not that funny, and it's very obvious. But it's okay. You like the characters, so you forgive the game its weak writing.
    It looks gorgeous: I'd say the graphics and particularly the level design are the highlights. The architecture of the ships, the stunning, weird, liquorice-taffy planet that you explore early on in the game, where giant red strips of what look like candy coil around the strange alien trees. It's a visual triumph really. It's technically very good too, but it's the design that's most impressive.

    The reason it's not an 8 is simple. The combat. It's too complicated without being fun. Bullet sponge enemies are NEVER enjoyable to fight. And it feels like they just endlessly respawn here too. It's fussy without being deep, which is a problem. Complexity is fine so long as the end result is a deep system that you can learn to master. But this just involves remembering when to use such and such an attack and there are no stringent time limits for it, you just plod through each battle. Star Lord isn't fun to control. His guns are weedy and he can't fly around the battlefield for more than ten to twenty seconds on a cooldown special attack. His melee is pathetic so you're just firing your blasters for 90% of the time, chipping away at surprisingly grindy enemy healthbars. It's a real missed opportunity. I don't think this 'play as one character while directing the rest of the team' style of combat has EVER worked in an action game. V in DMCV was my least favourite character for that reason, and I found Astral Chain annoyingly fussy too.

    But the rest of the game is likable, and the story progresses quickly enough for the combat not to be too much of an issue. It never becomes satisfying but it's not quite bad either. So the rest of the game isn't dragged down by it too much.

    I would say it's worth getting. Maybe not a must-buy unless you're a huge fan of the characters, but definitely give it a go if you see it on sale. And I'm tempted to give it another point purely because they resisted the temptation to turn the game into some hideous Avengers-style live-service chimera mutant monstrosity. Single player games like this are rare these days, and should be cherished.    … Expand

    Disgusting developers with their own scanning system. The scan with the r2 button does not work for me. The shooting works, the scanner does not. I can't get any further along the plot than the beginning of chapter 1! Everyone who faces this problem is advised to "wait for a fix". Was the game even tested before the release?!

    -Эти персонажи вам западут больше,чем киношные, и не потому что вы больше времени с ними проводите,а потому что они не сделаны карикатурными,как тот же Драгс Батисты или Несуразный Квил,который в моменты какой-то отсталый

    -Арт тут просто прекрасен.Столько разных планет и мест придётся посетить и всё просто мякотка для глаз

    -Небольшая разветлённость в диалогах.Мелочь,а приятно для вариативности

    -Боёвка на любителя.И да первые часов 5 скучновата.Но потом с большим открытием способностей,даже по кайфу пытаться красиво поубивать на локации ребят.Да и бои короткие,которые потом переходят опять в кат-сцены,так что не успеваешь заскучать.

    Так что после ужасных Авенджеров,это прям радость какая-то для фанатов марвел и любителей хороших(не выдающихся) сюжетных игр    … Expand

    I haven't been this happy with a game in years. It's clearly inspired by the Mass Effect series and yet adds to it in design quality. The ship and missions feel lively at all times, as there is constant conversation and banter going on. When it was over, I missed this found family immediately. Even as a GotG fan, this is by far my favorite Marvel content ever made, including the movies,I haven't been this happy with a game in years.     This game should be renamed Marvel's Star-Lord, because you can't even play with the other Guardians of the Galaxy. You can only command them with Star-Lord. The gameplay is boring and repetitive. It feels like a re-skinned Marvel's Avengers. I appreciate the licensed tracks in this game. And the greedy developers had the audacity to charge $60 for half of the game when Marvel's Avengers had both the singleplayer and the multiplayer co-op for $60. I recommend you get this game when it drops to $10 or wait until it is free on PS Plus.    … Expand

    This game is absolutely amazing!! It literally is the reason I made a metacritic account. The very first thing I want to mention is the tone is very fitting to the GOTG style; it is funny and charismatic. The gameplay is slightly above average and the sound is awesome.     At lot of love went into this game! Animations and storytelling are top notch. Had an absolute blast with this game and if there was a little more exploration and the ability to play as the other guardians, this would have been a 10 for me! Highly recommend this one

You also make some decisions during the course of the game and it seems to have some impact, like, there is one chapter that can go completly different depend on some choices... and in the very end it seems that your choices have some impact, tho Im not really sure about this, itThis game is so good.     this is undeniably great Marvel game after years. Worth to be mentioned among Marvel's spider man or Arkham series. Fantastic storytelling and characters development. A solid 9/10

I thought this game was nothing more than a cashgrab due to the absolutely horrible mismarketing it suffered from, but I am beyond happy to say that this was everything I didn't know I needed and everything I had ever wanted from a GotG game. From the thrilling narrative, the absolutelyMarvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is by far the best Marvel game I have ever had the pleasure of playing. You’ll find yourself wishing you were a Guardian, tagging along on their adventures. This game has some of the most stunning environments and facial animations that have ever existed in a game. Period. Combat is fun and engaging with progression points to look forward to. The real shining kick to the combat is the huddle where one of the many awesome licensed tracks plays as you finish off a big group of enemies or a boss. This has truly lead to some of the most fun gaming moments I have ever experienced. The story is incredible and the method that EM has chosen to tell the story is masterfully executed. I never expected to find myself loving this version of the Guardians even more than the MCU portrayals but here we are. I give this game a 10/10 and it has landed somewhere on my top 10 games of all time. What a truly fantastic experience this game has been.     Looks great but the handholding utterly ruins it. at times it pretty much plays itself and it's littered with QTE's. The space battles are pitiful, it's almost on rails and it's like 'babies first space game'. GotG is great but this game is a mammoth disappointment indeed.

    So the game has a lot of room for improvement, but all in all is a solid experience. Amazing graphics, good story and characters and all in all just a fun game.

    Combat is the weakest aspect and the game is linear with little room (or reason) for exploration

    Guardians of Galaxy are the real blast that Marvel fans needed after more than mediocre Avengers. The “worst” part of the game is a mere fact, that you are not able to enjoy every single comment in the background and enjoy very well written characters.

    The story is entertaining, and it features characters from the Marvel universe that haven't yet surfaced in the movies, such as Fin Fang Foom, Lady Hellbender and the Nova Corps. Add in the requisite humor and self-deprecation and an eclectic killer soundtrack, and you get one of the most enjoyable games of the year.
